It's a bit off the beaten path from Osaka's city center along the Kintetsu line. I had visited this renowned restaurant before but left empty-handed, so this was a redemption visit. The narrow alley with buildings on both sides made me a bit nervous until I saw customers inside the lit-up restaurant. Luckily, I was seated right away at 18:40. I ordered the Shrimp and Fried Rice Cake Bucatini for 890 yen. The noodles were thin gum noodles, soft and stretchy with a good bounce. They went well with the sweet and salty broth, creating a refreshing taste that kept me slurping and slurping. The portion was quite generous! The toppings included shrimp tempura, fried rice cake, mizuna, and grated daikon. Their curry special set costs 1130 yen, small udon is 330 yen, and mini negitoro bowl is 400 yen. They opened at 6 pm, and there were already 7 to 8 groups waiting. Curry udon is great! The set with rice and fried chicken is very satisfying. However, when it comes to authentic Sanuki udon shops, facing the udon head-on is the best! Tempura flakes and green onions alone are the best.

There is a delicious udon restaurant in town in 2023. I was invited to go there and I responded, "I want to go." We decided to go before the opening to avoid waiting in line. We were driven to the restaurant, but the parking lot was already full. We decided to get out of the car and join the line since there was already a line before the opening. We all managed to get in just in time for the opening. We were lucky to get the last table. We looked at the menu and I was drawn to the curry udon and the katsu curry udon. After some contemplation, I decided on the katsu curry udon. We placed our order and waited for it to be served. When the katsu curry udon arrived, it looked delicious with a nice thick piece of katsu on top. The udon had a good texture and was tasty. The curry had just the right amount of spiciness. The hot katsu was also very flavorful. I enjoyed the meal and would like to try the cold udon next time. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant was surprisingly empty at this time, and I noticed that they closed at 2:30 pm as it was written at the entrance. I asked the staff if they had already finished taking the last orders, and they said it was fine, so I took a seat at the counter. Since it was a late lunch and I wanted to eat something hearty, I ordered the popular Karaage set meal for 890 yen, which was my first time ordering it. The dish arrived promptly, and it was quite a generous portion. It came with freshly fried Karaage, a hot and hearty udon, rice, pickles, and dried tofu, all for a reasonable price. As customers gradually left the restaurant, I found myself eating alone. I hurried to finish my meal, but I wished I could have savored it slowly.

I arrived at the restaurant around 12:40. I quickly found a parking spot as a car was leaving. There were still 4 groups waiting ahead of me. I ordered the shrimp and fried mochi bukkake udon for 890 yen. This was my first time trying it since returning, and the freshly fried tempura shrimp and fried mochi paired perfectly with the cold udon. The bukkake udon here is definitely the best.

I was finally able to go to Masajiro, not Gajiro. It was a weekday during the Obon period. I had to wait for about 20 minutes. I decided to try a different menu. It was like ramen, with bean sprouts and green onions. Next time, I will try the one with shrimp and fried mochi. It was delicious when I tried a bit. The meat udon was also good.

This time, I arrived a little before the opening time of 11:30 am. There were just about 2 parking spaces left, so I parked there. There were quite a few people waiting outside the store, including those sitting down. I managed to get a seat right when they opened. Since I have been keeping records on Tabelog, I ordered a different menu item from what I have had in the past. I ordered the tonkatsu set for 890 yen. Although seating and ordering went smoothly, the food took some time to be served as they go in order. It took over 30 minutes for the food to be served, so it might be better to visit during the first customer turnover. It's not a tonkatsu specialty shop, but the tonkatsu was still delicious. The set came with small udon, rice, a side dish, and pickles, all for a very cheap price. Sets in general are cheap here.

The fried chicken was juicy and tasty, especially when eaten with mayonnaise. As for the curry udon that I had high expectations for, it was simply delicious.

Today I was in the mood for udon, so I went to Sanukiya Gajiro in Yao. Their shrimp and fried mochi bukkake is delicious! I prefer it cold. The refreshing daikon radish, chewy shrimp tempura (about 5 pieces), and crispy fried mochi make for a satisfying meal. Even the regular size comes with a generous amount of noodles! The broth and noodles are also top notch. This dish is a must-try and will make you want to come back again!

The first picture is Niku Ontama Bukkake and the second picture is Ebi and Age Mochi Bukkake. I had never been to a udon specialty store other than Marugame Seimen, so I didn't know the price or taste range, but I was surprised that I could eat such delicious food at this price. We arrived around 1:30 pm on a holiday and had to wait for about 30 minutes in a line of about 10 groups. I tried the Karaage Bukkake for 830 yen and the Kaki Fry (4 pieces) for 460 yen. The udon noodles were medium thick with a strong chewy texture that was satisfying. The Karaage came with 5 pieces and was juicy and delicious. The Kaki Fry was soft and tasty. Overall, the cost performance was good, so I think it's worth making a trip there.

This time, I visited "Sankiya Masajiro" in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture. I always passed by the front of the store because the parking lot was always full, but when I went around 1:30 PM, there was one spot available so I was able to park. I ordered: 1. Umah pork udon (Iberico pork) - 910 yen 2. Fried chicken (5 pieces) - 470 yen 3. Oyster fry (5 pieces) - 580 yen 4. Chikuwa tempura - 160 yen. I had been looking forward to this for a long time, so I was already feeling full of excitement and anticipation before the food arrived! When I tried the udon, it was even more delicious than I had expected, with a chewy texture typical of Sanuki udon. The fried chicken was juicy and as another commenter mentioned, it was really tasty! I enjoyed changing up the flavors with mayonnaise halfway through and finished everything.
