It's been 2 and a half years since I last visited my favorite pizza bar. I visit here about 10 times a year. What makes this pizza bar so amazing to me? The pizza dough, made with organic flour and mineral water, is fermented for a long time with 80% water content, making it incredibly light in texture. Additionally, the seasonal pizzas are full of originality and packed with toppings. The spring season pizza with mountain vegetables is so delicious that I find myself wanting to eat it multiple times throughout spring. The year-round specialty, Pizzino, is a unique pizza that you won't find elsewhere. Of course, the standard Margherita and Marinara pizzas are also delicious! The ingredients are carefully selected, making this pizza bar truly one of a kind. I've been to many pizza places as I love pizza, but I haven't found one that compares to this one. Therefore, I give it a perfect score of 5 points. Everyone I've taken here has loved it, so I confidently recommend this place. It underwent renovation in February 2023, becoming an even more wonderful pizza bar. Personally, I feel that the comfort of the chairs has greatly improved, which is great! If you love pizza but haven't visited this place yet, I highly recommend it to you!

Located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Hotel, this Italian restaurant has only 8 seats at the counter in the pizza section. It is ranked number one in Asia. I made a reservation two months in advance to secure a spot. The course consisted of a variety of dishes, paired with four different wines. The menu included eggplant salad, prosciutto marinara, margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella from Chiba, fig pizza, octopus and pepperoni pizza, six cheese pizza with truffle honey, calzone, and mango and passion fruit dessert pizza. Each slice of the eight different pizzas we tried was delicious, but the margherita pizza stood out as the best I've ever had. The pizza dough is made with a mixture of different types of wheat, yeast, and 80% high-hydration water, resulting in a light and chewy texture. I would definitely make a reservation to go back again!

I didn't realize pizza could be this delicious... My preconceptions have been shattered. I devoured two pizzas - PIZZINO, which was like a truffle-scented sandwich, and POMODORO E ALICI, with a crispy crust and thick anchovies that spread throughout my mouth. I want to go back again, but it's hard to get a reservation... #ThePizzaBaron38th #Pizza #Mitsukoshimae #Restaurant #Gourmet #DeliciousFood #Foodie #FoodLover #Instagrammable #Tokyo #Minato-ku #Shibuya-ku

For the ultimate taste of Italy, "Pizzabar on 38th" is the place to go. Located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Oriental, the ambiance is outstanding. The chef's table is arranged in an Italian style with an 8-seat marble counter where pizza artisans bake in front of a wood-fired oven. Executive Chef Daniele Carson's pizza dough is made with Italian organic wheat, a gram of yeast, and 80% water content, then aged for 48 hours to create a light and easy-to-eat crust. I was surprised by the 80% water content, but the pizza was indeed light and delicious, making it easy to eat as much as you want. I was worried about finishing the pizza-only course, but it was so light and tasty that I managed to eat it all without any problems. The course menu is as follows: PIZZA OMAKASE MENU - Summer Eggplant - Nagano Ham and Robiola Cheese - Bagna Cauda Cheese - Maranara - Burrata Cheese - Pizzino - Fig Pizza - Octopus and Pepperoni - Smoked Mozzarella Cheese - 6 Formaggi Provolone, Gorgonzola, Scamorza, Taleggio, Fiore Di Latte, Parmigiano Reggiano - Truffle Honey Calzone - Spring Chrysanthemum, Mortadella, Ricotta, Nduja - Pizza Dolce - Okinawa Mango and Passion Fruit, Valrhona Chocolate - Buffalo Yogurt Afogato with Praline Sauce and Biscotti - Homemade Vanilla Gelato with Espresso

This is a pizza bar located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Nihonbashi. I made a reservation two months ago. - Pizza with roasted young corn - Seasonal salad with ratatouille, mozzarella cheese, eggplant, and anchovy - Pizzino focaccia with mascarpone cheese, anchovy paste, green onions, and black truffles - Buffalo cheese pizza The pizza chef handles the dough with care, calling it "my baby," and spreads it with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, olive oil, buffalo cheese, resulting in a delicious and light pizza. Despite initially feeling like two pizzas for two people might be too much, they were surprisingly light and easy to eat. The elderly couple sitting next to me even ordered an additional pizza. The view from the restroom was breathtaking.

I saw a pizza being made for the first time right in front of me, and it was really interesting to watch. The freshly baked pizza was incredibly delicious, and I tried various kinds, but I couldn't choose which one was the best, haha. It's a restaurant that's hard to get a reservation at, but I had such a great experience that I want to go every week. I love Italian food, and the pizza here is irresistible. It seems like they really care about the ingredients, so each dish tasted fresh. I definitely want to go back and eat there again.

Ranked 1st in Asia-Pacific in the Top 50 Pizza Asia-Pacific 2023, this popular pizza specialty restaurant is located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Oriental, with a bar-like atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its high reputation, and it's almost impossible to get a reservation since being named the top in Asia. Fortunately, I was invited to dine there, and I got a valuable seat. The design of the restaurant is interesting, with a bar counter-like space tucked away in a corner of the spacious area dominated by Italian aesthetics. While it may seem like a restaurant tucked away in a corner to those who are unaware, I personally find the special atmosphere quite appealing. The restaurant used to offer à la carte dishes, but now they only serve an omakase course of 8 types of pizzas for 12,000 yen, excluding tax and service charges, making it quite a pricey meal just for pizza. I opted for Mandarin Oriental's original iced tea as my drink, which was delicious. The pizza dough, carefully crafted by Executive Chef Daniele Carson, is made from several types of Italian organic wheat, 1 gram of yeast, and 80% water, then aged slowly for 48 hours to create a chewy, fluffy masterpiece. The aroma that penetrates your nostrils even before you take a bite is incredibly pleasant, and it's a feeling I rarely experience when eating pizza. It's the epitome of a "beautiful pizza." While it may seem simple to just put toppings on the dough, the difference in quality is truly impressive. Among them, the specialty Pizzino, with mascarpone, truffles, and thickly sliced eggplant, stands out for its aggressive yet delicious flavor that left a lasting impression. Enjoying the top-notch pizza course for 8 people, served exclusively on the top floor of a 5-star hotel with a view of the setting sun over the city, for around 17,000 yen... this experience is definitely worth it. Total bill: Approximately 17,000 yen per person for the 8-course omakase pizza course at 12,000 yen + tax + 15% service charge. Menu: Mandarin Oriental's brand iced tea, seasonal salad, summer eggplant with Nagano ham, Marinara, Bufala, Pizzino, zucchini and pancetta, octopus and peperoni, Seiforomaggi, Calzone, pizza dessert, Affogato.

Thank you for viewing. I visited "The Pizza Bar ON 38TH", a popular pizza restaurant that has won the Pizza Hyakumeiten award in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023. Located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, this place is known for its crispy, thin-crust pizzas. Reservations are hard to come by, but the delicious pizzas justify the popularity. I recommend going with a group and trying a variety of pizzas a la carte. The staff, mostly foreigners, provide friendly service with smiles. The truffle-infused mascarpone cheese pizza was a standout, but the seasonal octopus and pepperoni pizza was a unique Japanese twist. The arugula salad and spicy Diavola pizza were also delicious. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable dining experience. I would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal.

- Appetizers - Prosciutto and simple pizza... Prosciutto from Japan and Spain, and a simple pizza with minimal seasoning. - ⭐︎ Marinara... Incredibly delicious tomato. - Bufala... Similar to Margherita. - ⭐︎ Pizzino... Apparently the most popular, with delicious cheese flavor. - ⭐︎ Zucchini and Pancetta... Zucchini prepared in four different ways, very tasty. - Octopus and Pepperoni... A bit American. - ⭐︎ 6 Formaggi... 6 types of cheese, rich and delicious. Also delicious with honey drizzled on top. - Calzone... A bit spicy maybe. - Pizza Dolce - Affogato... The crust was crispy and delicious. High-quality crust.

I finally made it to this restaurant located on the 38th floor of Mitsukoshi-mae Station, Mandarin Oriental. As soon as you go up to the 38th floor, you are greeted with a beautiful view that instantly lifts your spirits. There were many foreign visitors, which made it feel like an inbound hotspot. We ordered the "PIZZA OMAKASE MENU" course with a wine pairing of 4 different types. We started with a toast with sparkling wine. Here is a summary of the dishes we enjoyed: - Summer Eggplant: Three types of eggplant from Nagano, accompanied by three types of prosciutto. Served with goat cheese. - Marinara: Tomato-rich pizza with a good amount of garlic. - Bufala: Buffalo mozzarella cheese from Chiba, San Marzano tomatoes, basil. - Pizzino: This was my favorite! Mascarpone sandwiched between focaccia, with black olives, Australian truffles. - Seasonal pizzas: Zucchini and Pancetta, Octopus and Pepperoni. - 6 Formaggi: Provolone, Gorgonzola, Scamorza, Taleggio, Parmigiano-Reggiano, truffle honey. - Calzone: Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Mortadella, Ricotta, 'Nduja, spring onions. - Pizza Dolce: Okinawa mango and passion fruit, Valrhona chocolate, buffalo yogurt. - Affogato: Praline sauce, biscotti, homemade vanilla gelato, espresso. Each pizza was in a manageable size, making it easy to enjoy the variety. The different types of pizzas made the experience enjoyable, especially the ones marked with a ◎. I loved that you can try new pizzas depending on the season, so I would definitely like to go back. The wine pairing was also delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It had been a month since I last visited the pizza bar. This time, I had a funky seat right in front of the Mona Lisa's eyes. The night view was beautiful, making it a great evening. The food was delicious as always. I had a pizza with zucchini and pancetta, as well as octopus. I also tried the calzone with spring onion sauce. The mango pizza for dessert was amazing. However, I still think the number one dish here is the Pizzino. It was delicious and truly impressive. I also enjoyed the wine pairing. There were many foreign visitors, adding to the exotic atmosphere of the restaurant. Make sure to visit on an empty stomach.

I visited The Pizza Bar ON 38TH located on the 38th floor of Mandarin Oriental and from the moment I entered this amazing restaurant, I felt like I had wandered into a different world. The stunning space design and expansive panoramic views promised a luxurious experience. The quality of the food was top-notch, truly fitting for a first-class restaurant. The variety of pizzas was rich, each one unique and enticing. From the simple combination of mozzarella cheese and tomato to various other flavors, I enjoyed a range of delicious tastes. This is a highly anticipated pizza that has been selected as the most influential pizza in the world recently. It is located on the 38th floor of Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, exuding a luxurious atmosphere. Luckily, we were able to make a reservation for the 5:30 pm seating. The dinner course is omakase style for 13,200 yen, consisting of appetizers, 8-9 types of pizza, and dessert. Daniele Carson bakes the pizza right in front of you. Each pizza is exquisite, focusing on using locally sourced ingredients in Japan. Carson's talk was also very enjoyable. The atmosphere, taste, and staff service were all perfect. It seems that it will soon become difficult to make reservations due to its popularity. I would like to visit again. Reservations can be made smoothly on the official website.

It has been several years since we started visiting this restaurant every summer with friends. This time, we tried the set menu for the first time, and as always, the pizza was delicious, like a work of art. However, the set menu was quite filling. We managed to finish everything, but in the past, we could order a la carte and even split dishes, so I wonder if the restaurant has become too popular and had to change its style. Leaving the issue of portion size aside, the affogato dessert at the end was surprisingly delicious. Everything was tasty, truly reflecting the high quality of the Mandarin Hotel. We plan to visit again next year, but it's difficult to make a reservation, so we will do our best to secure a spot.

I revisited the restaurant that started offering an omakase course in June. It's rare to have a pizza omakase course, and they also offer a wine pairing with 4 glasses as a flight menu. The restaurant is still very popular and reservations can be difficult, but they have added a more user-friendly reservation site. The head chef, Cason, who is usually busy, is seen baking pizzas, handling the cooking, and interacting with customers, providing a luxurious dining experience. The pizzas are shared among 8 people at the counter, with each person having a slice of about 8 different varieties. It's a nice experience to try seasonal ingredients, but it can be time-consuming and challenging to distinguish the differences between the pizzas. Personally, I felt more satisfied ordering a whole pizza a la carte. The pizzas are made with a blend of 5 types of wheat, with 2 types of dough prepared for those with and without tomato sauce. The price for one pizza may seem luxurious, and I found the lunch experience to be more fulfilling. I look forward to visiting again in a different season.

A friend is going on a business trip abroad, so we had a celebration and farewell party. First of all, the pizza dough was incredibly delicious. It has a water content of 70%. The ingredients were mainly Japanese vegetables and were tasty and easy to eat. The classic Margherita and Marinara pizzas were a step above the rest. The specialty Pizzino with truffle was delicious. The highlight was a pizza with green peas and zucchini, which had a Japanese-style flavor and was the most delicious. The cheese pizza had not 4 or 5, but 6 types of cheese called Sei Formaggi. It was very delicious, especially with truffle honey. There was even a dessert pizza, and the Affogato at the end was playful and stylish, which would appeal to women. The pizzas were incredibly delicious, but the price was around 20,000 yen... Spending 20,000 yen on pizza is crazy haha. However, considering it as an Italian restaurant, it's hard to find a place where the food is this delicious for that price. The problem is that from start to finish, it's all pizza, so honestly, it gets a bit boring towards the end. The portion size was also too much, and we didn't want to eat a lot. Most of the young men in our group felt the same, so I think it might be too much for women. To be honest, the atmosphere in the restaurant next door, which is connected, is better. You can see the night view well from the window, and the chairs look more comfortable haha. It seems that they used to offer a la carte options before, so I hope they bring that back. If I could have three types of my favorite pizzas for under 10,000 yen, it would be really convenient...

It was the best pizza show with only 8 counter seats! First of all, it was difficult to get a reservation, so I made a phone reservation one month in advance. The chef performed like an artist in front of us: introducing the ingredients, enjoying the cooking process, and finally tasting the finished product, which was magical. We got to enjoy 10 different pizzas, each one delicious in its own way. I can't fully express it in words, but I apologize for underestimating pizza until now! Even though I ate so much, I was surprised that my weight didn't increase the next morning.

Before I knew it, the restaurant had become course-based in its structure. The clientele had become more international, indicating that this pizzeria had become famous worldwide. Now, as for the pizza itself, it was surprisingly light, and we kept devouring one after another that kept coming out. Towards the end, you might start to feel a bit full, but without a doubt, this is a place where you can enjoy delicious pizza.

The best pizza in Asia. It was exactly as described. A luxurious setting to enjoy the best pizza, it was a luxurious experience. Despite having many pizzas, they were not heavy and I was able to finish them all in one go. The service was attentive and beautiful, the hospitality was perfect. The pizza, made with carefully selected ingredients, was like a work of art! It was fun to watch them being made right in front of me.

About a month and a half ago, I was able to make a reservation for a late lunch on a weekday at a pizza bar I had been wanting to try. It was my first time there, so I ordered based on the recommendation from the staff. The pizza was outstanding, definitely a cut above the rest in Tokyo (although it comes with a higher price tag). I was told that during dinner, you can try 8 different types of pizza by the slice, so I'm looking forward to going back for dinner next time.

The pizza here is soft, light, and the dough itself is very simple yet delicious. I was recommended to order a la carte instead of a set course, so I followed the suggestion. I started with a salad, which turned out to be a complete disappointment - just a plain arugula salad for the price was unbelievable. However, the pizza was the real deal and changed my concept of delicious pizza. It was so good that I ended up drinking two bottles of sparkling wine. If you only order the pizza, this place offers great value for money. The service was a bit unpolished and not very experienced, but the language used was polished like in a hotel, although with this kind of service, a 15% service charge is not warranted. Thank you for the meal.
