However, honestly, it may not be worth the price. It shouldn't exceed ¥1,000. The Matcha Terrine is really rich with a strong bitterness, yet a hint of sweetness is maintained, and the texture is thick and solid. This was delicious! The seasonal Matcha Drink is a beverage mixed with matcha and pineapple juice and pulp. The bitterness of matcha (this matcha has no sweetness) and the acidity, sweetness, and acidity of pineapple surprisingly don't clash, which was quite intriguing! I took a break here between the daytime and nighttime performances of EBiDAN THE LIVE. I wanted to eat a bit more because I got too excited during the live show (laughs). Cafes like this tend to give the impression of being for couples or two women, but perhaps because it hasn't been open for long, it had a cozy atmosphere and was easy for a solo visitor to enter. This place is located about a 4-5 minute walk from Yoyogi-Uehara. It's down a staircase in a narrow alley after crossing Inokashira Street. It's a bit hidden from other shops, so it may be a little hard to find. I think it's the second store of IPPUKU&MATCHA in Nihonbashi. I went on a very hot weekday lunchtime, so it was not crowded. As the name suggests, it's a store specializing in Uji matcha, but they also have hojicha sweets. Personally, I prefer hojicha sweets, but since it was my first visit, I went for the full matcha experience. The matcha cheesecake with matcha sauce and matcha ice cream was a three-layered cake with cookie, matcha mousse, and cheese mousse, topped with matcha ice cream and plenty of matcha sauce. It felt like cheese peeking out from the matcha sea. Both the matcha and cheese flavors were quite rich. It was a wrong choice for a hot lunchtime, but since I came for the rich matcha, it was okay. The store is quite spacious. However, because it's in a hard-to-find location, it might become a hidden gem! I'd like to come back next time to try their hojicha offerings.

IPPUKU's second store, located on the first floor of the Mitsui Tower near Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi-mae Station, has opened in Yoyogi-Uehara. The café, owned by Takuya Sato from Tower Shita, is situated right off Inokashira Street, next to the Odakyu Line. The staff, all women, create a cheerful atmosphere. I enjoyed a matcha latte, which had a balanced sweetness and a refreshing green color that was perfect for a hot day.

Newly opened specialty store for matcha drinks and sweets in Yoyogi-Uehara, possibly the second branch following the Nihonbashi store. It's a 4-5 minute walk from the station. Walk towards the Koga Masao Memorial Hall from the station, cross the street, and walk in the opposite direction of the memorial hall, down the stairs. The store may not be very noticeable, but quite a few people were peeking inside as they passed by. The store has a bright atmosphere with sunlight coming in through the windows and wooden furniture creating a soft ambiance. I love matcha, so despite the hot weather, I ordered a sugar-free hot matcha latte for 750 yen. It has a mild and gentle taste due to the milk in it. Even those who are not fond of matcha might enjoy its soft flavor with the comforting aroma of matcha. They also have matcha beer, matcha pudding, and matcha cake. It seems like it would be popular among foreign tourists... The staff members were all bright and friendly, making it a cozy place to spend time. I plan to go back next time to try their sweets.

A delight for matcha lovers with its rich and cold matcha treat. The hojicha terrine has a pleasant bitterness and nutty flavor. They also offer hojicha sweets along with Uji matcha treats. The cafe has around 10 table seats and dog-friendly terrace seating. The terrace was cool in the evening.
