I was brought here by someone who knows their food, and I must say, I was impressed. "Kaisen Shokudo Ishi" is a seafood restaurant that focuses on local fish from the Genkainada Sea. We started with a sashimi platter. The selection varies depending on the day, but on this particular day, we had 10 different types including flounder, yellowtail, bluefin tuna, horse mackerel, octopus, abalone, squid, swordfish, and red snapper. Each piece was thick and delicious, with the horse mackerel from Ishikawa being a standout with its rich flavor and fatty texture. The variety of condiments like salt, ponzu, and soy sauce complemented each fish perfectly. The sesame mackerel was incredibly meaty and had a strong umami flavor, with the homemade sesame soy sauce enhancing the experience. We also tried the fluffy dashimaki tamago made with fish stock and the seafood steamed shumai, both of which were delicious. Overall, I was constantly impressed by the delicious seafood dishes throughout the meal. The restaurant also has a sister branch in Higashi Ward, and I would love to visit there as well if I have the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and made the experience very pleasant. The sesame mackerel was very fresh and the sashimi seemed to be fish caught in the Genkai Sea. I asked the staff for recommended ways to eat it and followed their suggestions, which turned out to be delicious. The rice porridge made with the fish broth we had at the end was exceptional.

Both sashimi and shumai are delicious, in my opinion. It's best to communicate your budget and leave it to the chef. You'll be served dishes made with care based on the day's ingredients. Last time, we had hot pot for 6 people. Whether in a small group or a large group, you can enjoy it the same way.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Chinatown Station and Maruetsu, this Chinese and yakitori restaurant is a hidden gem known only to locals. The three-person table seats have a semi-private feel, which is nice. The standout feature here is the fish - the sashimi platter and sesame mackerel are both excellent in terms of portion size and taste. The fried sweet potato, dumplings, rolled omelette, and porridge are all delicious as well. Reservations are highly recommended. For lunch, they offer seafood bowls and sashimi set meals among other tempting options. I'll have to try their lunch menu next time.

HKT's new theater is opening in May, but I couldn't find it at the Yahoo Dome. I asked Ishii-san, who said that Mori Po (Mori Madoka) has a sign there. It's a little less than a 10-minute walk from the dome. The lunch set is only 900 yen, which is quite cheap. They had fresh sashimi, sesame, and pickles on the menu that day. I overheard the conversation between the chef and the customer next to me at the counter, and they mentioned that the shop is closed on Sundays when the market is closed, meaning they only serve what they bought that day. The theaters around Tenjin are nice because they are located in lively areas, but now that a new theater is opening, I found a restaurant where I'd like to stop by after a show.

"Alicia's Food Log" During my training in this area, I was searching for something and came across a seemingly delicious restaurant. I decided to visit. In front of the restaurant, there were older ladies taking commemorative photos in the heat. When I mentioned that I was alone, I was seated at the counter with a view of the kitchen. There were various menu options, but the daily special was tuna yukhoe, and the seafood bowl seemed popular based on reviews. However, I was in the mood for grilled fish, so I ordered the grilled fish set meal. I could choose from three types of fish. I don't remember the first one, but I chose Isaki and Itoyori. The second one was salt-grilled, and Itoyori was prepared in a Wakasa style. I chose Itoyori. It looked delicious! The miso soup had a rich flavor. It was my first time trying Wakasa-style grilled fish, and it was really delicious! Although it was processed by drying, the flesh was plump and had a gentle taste. The rice was slightly firm, which I prefer so as not to overpower the delicious fish. I'm so glad I chose this place for lunch today! I truly felt that way. Thank you for the wonderful meal."

When it comes to Fukuoka, you think of fish, and when you think of fish, you think of seafood. That's why I visited "Ishi" in Karatocho Station. Of course, I ordered the seafood bowl (950 yen). The seafood bowl comes with miso soup, a side dish, chawanmushi, and an orange. The seafood bowl is packed full of fish, you can't even see the rice. It includes about eight types of sashimi such as kaiware, salmon, shrimp, and bonito. You pour the sauce over it and enjoy. Needless to say, it's delicious. The volume for the price of 950 yen is a great deal.

If you walk about 10 minutes from Dotonbori Station, you will arrive at this restaurant. I visited for lunch and was seated in a private room where I noticed the walls were covered with autographs of the Hawks' owner and players. I ordered the special sashimi set because I wanted to try some fresh sashimi in Kyushu. The sashimi included mackerel, tuna, salmon, squid, and other delicious fish. The rice was also very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and look forward to visiting again in the evening for more delicious dishes.

On a regular Thursday around 12:30 pm, I entered the restaurant. There was one group in the tatami room and four people at the counter, with previous customers already there. The daily special was displayed as "Grunt Stew Set" on the menu board, so I decided to try it out. I'm not very familiar with fish, so I'm not sure if "grunt" is a type of fish like "isomochi". The atmosphere inside the restaurant was like a seafood diner, with a fish tank on display. It seemed to be popular among locals. You could choose between large, medium, or small rice for free, with refills costing $1. Since I was very hungry, I opted for the large size. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the "Grunt Stew Set" arrived. It was my first time seeing this fish, and it had a tender texture and was incredibly delicious. The lightly seasoned dish brought out the best of the fish. The side dishes like bitter melon, burdock, and tofu had great flavors that complemented the meal. The rice went well with everything. Since the grunt fish had many small bones, be careful while eating. The miso soup had a rich fish broth flavor and was much better than instant miso soup. In the end, there were some fish scraps left, so I poured them over the rice and tried eating it like a cat's meal. It may seem a bit uncouth, but it was incredibly delicious! I recommend this eating style to those who don't mind being a little unconventional. When the set meal was served, there was a small mishap where the young part-time staff mistakenly served my meal before the person who had been waiting longer. Despite this, the owner handled the situation with a smile and good humor. His kindness and cheerful demeanor make me want to visit again. I'm curious about trying the seafood bowl for $9.50 next time!
