Located in the nearly Shinjuku entertainment district, this was my second visit, and this time I opted for a Korean restaurant. To be honest, as a frequent user of Shinjuku Terminal, Yoyogi is a bit out of the way for me. It's easy to get there by train, but walking seems like a hassle. However, the area is so enjoyable that I end up going anyway. As for this Korean restaurant, you order by scanning a QR code with your smartphone. This seems to be quite common nowadays, but the multiple screen transitions can be a bit cumbersome. I accept it because that's how things are these days, but it would be nice if the ordering process was more user-friendly and easier to navigate. On this day, I ordered sweet and spicy chicken karaage, sweet potato dumplings, and cheese-grilled shrimp wrapped in pork. Each dish seemed to be a bit on the larger side, with the karaage coming in 5 large pieces, the sweet potatoes in 5 pieces, and the shrimp wraps in pork in a serving size meant for one person with 6 pieces. We went as a group of two, but this amount of food would be more suitable for 3-4 people, as it was quite filling. The sweet and spicy chicken karaage had a rich and bold flavor that went well with alcohol. The sweet potatoes were not very sweet, but didn't complement alcohol as much. The grilled shrimp wrapped in pork and cheese were served with the cheese still unseasoned, and the quantity was a bit overwhelming, making it a bit monotonous. The restaurant is actually two stories high, and the seat we chose on the first floor faced the interior corridor, allowing us to feel the flow of people and adding a lively atmosphere. It would be great to come with a group of about 4 people and have a fun time together. The outdoor terrace seating was unused due to the cold weather. With a bit of alcohol, the total bill came to around ¥7000. I would have liked to order more dishes, but on this day, this amount was enough to leave us feeling full. Despite ordering through a QR code app, we had to pay in cash as PayPay was not accepted for payment, which was a bit of a gap. I would consider coming back to this restaurant, but with so many dining options in this bustling Shinjuku entertainment district, I might explore new places next time.
