I went to Mazaki Bar for a small gathering after-party. It was my first time visiting, but I had been curious about this authentic bar for a while and wanted to check it out. Luckily, there was a sofa seat available as the counter seats were almost full. I ordered the Mazaki original cocktail "Sapporo," which had a martini-like appearance with an amaretto base and green cherry inside. It looked lovely and had a strong alcohol taste with a hint of sweetness. It might be too strong for those who are not used to alcohol, but I highly recommend it for its deep and unique flavor. It was a great experience to try the internationally acclaimed original cocktail "Sapporo."

It is said to be a legendary shop. Before returning to the hotel to sleep, I made a little detour to Susukino in Sapporo. The night was filled with intense neon lights and crowded with people. Among the hustle and bustle, there is a famous hidden bar in a building in a back alley. The bartender was friendly and made me feel comfortable as I enjoyed getting a little tipsy before heading back.

A long-established bar in Sapporo. Even after Mr. Yamazaki passed away, the quality of this renowned establishment remains unchanged. I visited after a long time, and the dignified atmosphere was as pleasant as ever. The gin and tonic was refreshing and sharp. I used to receive paper cutouts as gifts in the past. It's a good memory. I hope this place continues for a long time.

When I visited Susukino and was looking for a bar, I came across this place! It is a famous long-established bar in Susukino, so I was really looking forward to it. I ordered the award-winning Sapporo beer, delicious! The atmosphere is really nice. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

★Gourmet Lawyer's Food Diary ★【Instagram】joy_sound 【Tabelog】_Chrome_ーーーーーーーーーーーーー Visited the bar Yamazaki in Susukino, a long-standing bar. This bar is also listed in Tabelog's Top 100 bars. I had a Gin and Tonic London (2,200 yen) and a California Shower (1,320 yen). There were two types of Gin and Tonics available, and I chose the one made with better gin. It was really delicious. The California Shower had a grapefruit aroma and was a refreshing drink. Thank you for the meal! ーーーーーーーーーーーー Likes, saves, comments are encouraging!

I tried pulling the door of the bar, thinking it was an old establishment in Sapporo. It turned out to be an automatic door, which was amusing. I started with a gin and tonic, which was average. Next, I tried an original cocktail called "Sapporo Martini" which was delicious, but as I'm not used to vodka-based drinks, I had to slow down. Lastly, I had an "Alan's soda mix" which was tasty but since it was a half portion, it was gone in a flash. Overall, I think it's a good bar to get a bit tipsy.

Yamazaki's original Sapporo cocktail and a Gin and Tonic that is no longer just a "whatever" cocktail! I started with the Sapporo, which is vodka-based. It's their most popular cocktail. Since I wanted something refreshing, I ordered the Gin and Tonic. It's a familiar taste that helps me relax. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the great experience.

On July 7, 2023 (Friday), I tried the original cocktail by Mr. Tatsuro Yamazaki at Sapporo. This cocktail was created in 1972 to coincide with the Sapporo Olympics. It won a special award at the International Cocktail Competition held in Geneva in 1981. The ingredients are: Vodka - 30ml Amaretto - 10ml Chartreuse Verte - 10ml Dry Vermouth - 10ml Mint Cherry

Bar Yamazaki @ Enjoying Whiskey in Susukino ~ ♪ A gathering with friends who were exploring innovation at Susukino on July 1, 2023. The name evokes Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, but the entrance feels a bit cliché. We tried a whiskey tasting set with Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Both were delicious, but I think I prefer the smoky Miyagikyo. It's interesting how Miyagikyo, known for its smoky flavor, is the opposite of Yoichi. The cozy counter was nice, but as the night grew late, we parted ways with smiles, promising to meet again. It was a good night♪

Located a 3-5 minute walk from Susukino Station, BAR Yamazaki is a well-established bar founded in 1958 that gets so crowded on weekday nights that it fills up. It was selected as one of the top 100 bars in 2022. Although the pricing per drink is on the higher side, the cocktails are worth it as they are carefully crafted, resulting in high satisfaction. The menu describes the characteristics of each cocktail, making it easy to order even for those not familiar with bars. The drinks we tried were the Sapporo, Mojito, and Asia (Scarlett). The Sapporo, an original creation of Yamazaki, made with vodka, amaretto, Chartreuse, and others, was sweeter and more drinkable than expected, with a strong alcohol flavor, creating a well-balanced drink. The Mojito, with a mild sweetness and a refreshing taste, and the Asia (Scarlett), made with brandy base and a grape-like sweetness, offered different but delicious tastes from the Sapporo. Among the various bars in the Susukino area, BAR Yamazaki stands out, so be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal!

Visited "Bar Yamazaki" in Susukino, Sapporo. It is a long-established bar in Susukino. The building has an old feel, giving off a nice atmosphere. Upon entering the interior, a large counter is on the left side, while table seating is on the right side. The red carpet adds to the old-fashioned bar vibe. The powerful background music sets a good mood. Ordered from the menu book in the following order: - Asia (Scarlett) (1540 yen tax included): A cocktail recreated from the South Manchuria Railway. It seems to be a cocktail served on the Asia Express. It is brandy-based, with a strong sour taste. Would "sweet and sour" be an appropriate description? Regardless, it makes you feel the history of cocktails served on the Manchurian Railway. - Sapporo (1760 yen tax included): An original cocktail that won a special award in Geneva in 1981. It has sweetness, but being vodka-based, it is a strong drink. Personally, it's like a "gentle drink that is not at all gentle." It was a strong drink with a strong sweetness. The cherries soaked in alcohol were sweet and enjoyable. It is a bar with a calm atmosphere. The staff's red and black checkered vests add to the soft atmosphere. The staff, including the friendly conversations, give off a good vibe. Additionally, a great point is that it is a non-smoking bar. For non-smokers, it is nice to have a non-smoking option in such a long-established bar. Paid with a credit card. It was delicious. Will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to try bar hopping with a friend, so we went to a second bar. We made a reservation over the phone for 10 minutes later on a Saturday around 8 pm, which was the right decision because I think we wouldn't have gotten in otherwise. The place was almost full, with customers coming in non-stop. There were 4 bartenders behind the counter, including someone in training who was learning various things. I ordered a lychee liquor called Dita Moni, which was not on the menu, and they quickly accommodated my request. Thank you. The counter had narrow spaces between seats, so if you're concerned about the distance from other customers, you might prefer a table seat.

I ordered a Sapporo beer for 1760 yen and a gin and tonic for 990 yen. Please note that there is a seating charge of 770 yen and a 10% service charge in addition to the menu prices. After visiting Milk Village, we ended up choosing this place over a ramen shop or a bar. Located on the 4th floor of a building next to the famous miso ramen shop "Sumire," this bar called "Hyakumeiten" caught our attention. Walking through the streets of Sapporo, we noticed that there are many bars around. It has been years since I last visited a bar. This was my first time going to a bar with my wife. Trying out new places that we don't usually go to is one of the highlights of traveling, isn't it? The bar had a very calming atmosphere, and the friendly bartender skillfully made cocktails right in front of us. Just watching him work was enjoyable, and the cocktails served in beautiful glasses were a sight to behold. The "Sapporo" cocktail, which won a special award at an international cocktail competition, was a sweet and easy-to-drink cocktail made with vodka, various liqueurs, and garnished with a green cherry. It felt like drinking art. Although the bill for two people surprised us, we considered it as a step up the ladder of adulthood, and overall, it was a good experience.

The legendary bartender Tatsuro Yamazaki, who founded the bar in 1958, has passed away, but the bar continues to operate. It is located on the 4th floor of a mixed-use building in Susukino and is completely non-smoking. □ Asia Green @1320 A short cocktail with a vodka base that was served on the Manchurian Railway, with peppermint green and lemon. You can clearly taste the mint aroma and flavor. □ Sapporo @1760 Yamazaki's original masterpiece that won a special award in Geneva in 1981. A short cocktail with a vodka base and mainly amaretto. Chartreuse is the accent, and even when enjoyed in this era, it is well-balanced and delicious. The cocktails were very good, but the service was average. I was a little disappointed because the quality of the clientele present was too low. I couldn't help but think that it's not a bar that can charge a cover charge of 1000 yen and a service charge. 2023.4.22 ⭐︎3.76

After enjoying Genghis Khan, we were recommended to visit a legendary bar in Sapporo. The bartender here is well-known and we tried their famous cocktails, Sapporo and Asia. Sapporo is a short cocktail made with vodka, amaretto, and Chartreuse, with the herbal notes of Chartreuse adding a nice touch to the drink. It was delicious and easy to drink. The Asia cocktail, on the other hand, is a green cocktail made with vodka and peppermint. It is said to have been served at the Manchurian Railway, adding to its legendary status. This bar truly allowed us to fully enjoy the night in Sapporo.

This is a bar. It's a BAR. Not a grandma. My recent favorite thing is sitting at the bar counter after a meal. When it comes to bars that represent Susukino, this is the place to go. Despite knowing this, it was my first visit and I felt a bit nervous as I approached the entrance of the bar. Upon opening the door, I was greeted with a long counter stretching from right to left and three bartenders. The interior of the bar had a sense of weight and sophistication. While there were also table seats, I didn't want to wander around the dimly lit interior, so I chose to sit at the counter. In front of me were rows of bottles, and I always admire the bartenders who seem to know the taste, aroma, origin, and characteristics of each and every one of them. I looked at the menu, and while I recognized some items, most of them were unfamiliar to me. Cosmopolitan? Manhattan? Songs by Yumi Matsutoya and Mariya Takeuchi? Margarita? Pizza? I found a color page in the menu, probably designed for beginners like me. From there, I decided to order the "Sapporo (1,760 yen, tax included)" described as the "pinnacle of Yamazaki's original creation." The bartender then began to skillfully prepare the cocktail, his movements exuding coolness. He gathered the ingredients, added ice, twisted the cap, shook the shaker, and so on. It was all so cool. The "Sapporo" arrived in front of me, with vodka as the base, combined with Disaronno Amaretto, Chartreuse liqueur, Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth white wine... The cocktail, with the strength of vodka, a hint of sweetness from the Amaretto liqueur, the aroma of Chartreuse, and the depth of Vermouth, was exquisite. Apparently, this cocktail won a special award in Geneva. Next, I tried the "Sapporo in July (1,540 yen, tax included)," a cocktail inspired by the morning in Odori Park as summer approaches. The rum-based cocktail had a refreshing taste and aroma, with the marriage of Havana Club 3 Year Anejo and Peach Tree. The taste and atmosphere of this authentic bar allowed me to enjoy the passing time. It's a perfect fit for a sincere and gentlemanly person like myself. I'm sure I'll visit this bar many more times in the future. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I visited "Bar Yamazaki" located in Susukino, Sapporo. This restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 bars in the 2022 Tabelog Bar Awards. It is just a 3-minute walk from Susukino Station on the Namboku Line. Located on the 4th floor of the Katsuyoshi Building along Tsudoi Street, the entrance is marked by a red brick exterior. Inside, the atmosphere is elegant and classic, with hanging vacuum tube lamps above the counter. The back bar is lined with numerous bottles, and jazz music plays softly in the background. Established in 1958, the founder, Tatsuro Yamazaki, was a legendary bartender born in Tokyo. He honed his skills in Tokyo and Yokohama, and continued to bartend until the age of 96. The cocktail I tried today was a refreshing strawberry cocktail, garnished with sliced strawberries on top. It was very easy to drink and enjoyable. This bar, which has won the Sapporo Award, is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

When it comes to bars in Sapporo, YAMAZAKI is a familiar name. It's been a while since my last visit. The staff members in their red checkered vests make me feel at ease. As a well-known bar, it was crowded with international visitors on this day. I ordered whiskey and left it up to the bartender, starting with a whiskey on the rocks and then a highball. This place is really great, just as I remembered.

It's been a while. I didn't see my acquaintance bartender, but the bartender who has been there for a long time told me that they have started their own business. The drinks were still delicious. The kinkan liquor was light and tasty, and I think it was Sapporo? It was strong but sweet and delicious. The part-time staff was also hardworking and likable.

Sapporo City, a long-established BAR located on the 4th floor of a building about 5 minutes from Susukino Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line. I visited a few times in the past when Mr. Yamazaki was in good health and read his book, but it's been a while since I last visited. The shop remains the same as before, I think. I ordered a Fly High cocktail, a clear GETS and herbal liqueur cocktail. Mint liqueur can easily throw off the balance, but it's well-balanced here. It has a unique flavor and taste that's hard to describe in words. For my second drink, I had a Sapporo cocktail. It was created by Mr. Yamazaki during the 1972 Sapporo Olympics. It's vodka-based with amaretto, Chartreuse Verte, dry vermouth, and a mint cherry. It's strong! While drinking Sapporo, I talked to the staff, who are students from Hokkaido University, about the station melodies of the Sapporo Municipal Subway. They didn't know that the Sapporo Olympics' "Ballad of Rainbow and Snow" was used, which made me realize that time is passing. I truly hope that these kinds of shops continue to thrive. I will visit again.
