There does not seem to be a children's menu, but I see many small children.

It was a slightly cool September Sunday. There is a Chinese restaurant with a yellow sign at the intersection of Shitakabashi Street = Old Kawagoe Highway and current Kawagoe Highway. I was drawn in by the menu displayed outside the shop. The shop seems to be run by two native people. The menu is in Japanese, with Japanese-style dish names, but it is labeled as "Authentic Chinese" at the top of the menu. It seems to indicate that they will convey the real taste, not just the local Chinese food. I understand that. So, I decided to try something different from the usual fried rice, etc. They offer a great deal on drinks, which seems very cost-effective. Check out the menu image. You can choose combinations like ABB or ABC. This is not a place you should come to by car. ● Eggplant and Pork Belly Stir-Fry Set Meal ¥900. Although they also had Taiwanese braised pork rice, I was intrigued by this dish that I had never tried before. It consists of eggplant as the main ingredient, along with thinly sliced pork belly, carrots, bell peppers, etc., stir-fried together. It has a salty and not very sweet flavor. That's why it goes well with rice. The rice is served in a round, mountain-like portion, providing a substantial amount, which is necessary for this salty dish. You can hardly feel the aroma of star anise or Chinese five-spice powder, making it easy to eat. However, it lacks the authentic taste, not quite "authentic Chinese." But maybe the Taiwanese braised pork rice is more authentic. They receive a constant stream of delivery orders, even more than dine-in customers. Economically, that may be more significant for them. Well, the fact that they receive so many orders is a testament to the recognition of their taste and portion size by customers. It seems like they have already established themselves in the local area. Thank you for the meal. Next time, maybe in the evening. But it's quite difficult to be in this area at night...

Recently opened. In addition to male chefs, there is a young man who speaks Japanese well and takes orders and serves dishes. He is very polite and can understand questions accurately. The menu is simple as the restaurant is newly opened, but they are willing to make dishes not on the menu upon request. The braised pork rice was delicious, so I went back to try the noodles, which were also very tasty! They offer a "Good Job Set" where you can order the toppings without rice, which is unique. The pork topping was delicious. The shrimp fried rice had a good amount of ingredients and just the right amount of saltiness. The shrimp wonton noodle soup and chicken noodle soup both had fried onions and green onions that added a nice touch. The shrimp wontons were surprisingly large with a satisfying texture. Both soups were light and the noodles paired well with them. The chicken noodle soup had a unique flavor that was addictive. Sometimes Chinese restaurants can be too heavy-handed with seasoning, but this place had just the right balance. They mentioned that the menu will expand in the future, so it's an exciting place to watch grow. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious, so I want to support this restaurant.
