I made a reservation at Yamada Mongolia in Tanukikoji that I had been interested in, and went with two childhood friends. The interior of the restaurant is all private room style with partitions. 90's nostalgic music is playing in the background. This time, we enjoyed the most popular all-you-can-eat and drink course with plenty of Genghis Khan lamb.
- Raw lamb & old-fashioned lamb rolls all-you-can-eat and drink course for 90 minutes (4,380 yen)
- Raw lamb shoulder
- Old-fashioned lamb rolls
- Onions
- Cabbage
- Rice (small, medium, large)
- Bean sprouts (260 yen)
It is a Genghis Khan style where you eat the meat with a light soy sauce dressing with chopped green onions and garlic. You can't choose the meat at first, it comes out with raw lamb, but it was of high quality and very delicious without any smell. The lamb rolls can be selected for meat refills, and it was so delicious to eat after a long time as it used to be the only option for Genghis Khan. The slight sheep smell is irresistible. It was a bit disappointing that there were no bean sprouts in the all-you-can-eat option, but I prefer bean sprouts over cabbage and onions, so I added them at an additional cost. Despite the slightly unfriendly customer service, I was very satisfied with enjoying lamb rolls and beer. Thank you for the meal.

It was past 8 p.m. on Sunday night, but the restaurant was full when we entered. I tried lamb Genghis Khan for the first time, and it was delicious with a nice lamb flavor. The smoke exhaust system was quite effective, so it didn't smell too bad, and the atmosphere was cool and nice.

I ordered the set of three types of fresh lamb meat at this restaurant, which had a welcoming atmosphere for solo diners. I'm not used to eating lamb meat, but all the cuts were delicious. I considered ordering more, but I was mindful of my wallet (it was quite pricey). I would like to visit again when I come back to Hokkaido.

Hokkaido. Sapporo. Of course, it's all about Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue). However, with the tourists coming back, every Genghis Khan restaurant seems to be full. Even though there are so many shops... I found a delicious-looking Genghis Khan restaurant near my hotel, and luckily it had an open seat. We sat at the counter and ordered Sapporo Classic beer. Delicious. We ordered the signature dish, raw lamb shoulder. It was a standard Genghis Khan dish and very tasty. The sauce was just as expected. We also tried the lamb roll and added raw lamb leg. This place also offers menu items with beef, pork, and chicken, which is unusual. Although we didn't try them this time, they also have a menu option for all-you-can-eat raw lamb, which would be great for a group party with clear pricing. I later realized that this Yamada Mongolia branch also has a location in Dotonbori, Osaka, where I had been before. So, I guess I tried it in Kansai before trying it in its hometown.

I forgot to post about my visit at the end of January. I made a reservation for a farewell party for a senior colleague at the company, and it was fully booked. We had a plan with all-you-can-eat and drink, so we started with a toast with beer. The raw lamb shoulder, onions, and cabbage were mixed with plenty of homemade spice and garlic in the sauce and it was delicious! We were right in the middle of the Genghis Khan experience. The staff at the restaurant were very efficient, which made the experience even better. We ended the meal with an extra order of ramen. It was a memorable feast. Thank you for the meal!

I had dinner at Yamada Mongolia. It is located on the outskirts of Tanukikoji. I generally like the diverse atmosphere of 7th Avenue, with many interesting shops. Yamada Mongolia is a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant with a good all-you-can-eat and drink plan. It's for 90 minutes and includes lamb shoulder, vegetables, and alcohol. It's best to eat slowly rather than quickly to avoid getting a stomachache. It seems to be a popular restaurant, so reservations are necessary. The lamb was tender, thick, and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Sapporo Chuo-ku / Tanukikoji Yamada Mongolia If you want to eat and drink simply with raw lamb and vegetables, this place is recommended! ◆ Order ✔️ Raw lamb eating and drinking supplement 90 minutes 4180 Using coupon 3850 × 2 * Reservation required by the day before! ◆ For 2 people A couple seat-like counter. A shichirin and a Genghis Khan pot with thin slits are set. Put fat on top and enjoy the juicy meat! Super Dry beer arrives and cheers! Pour beer into the sauce with plenty of green onions, shichimi, and garlic. "Preparation complete (standby OK)" Place plenty of vegetables around the meat. Bean sprouts are extra charge here. On the contrary, it is grateful that onions and cabbage are all-you-can-eat. Sizzle sizzle, the first Genghis Khan! Dip it in the sauce and enjoy the crunchy texture. Delicious meat juice. The refreshing sauce is great because you can use plenty of condiments. And then, beer! Genghis Khan vegetables sauce beer Genghis Khan vegetables sauce beer To be frank, "It's so delicious!" You can eat unlimited amounts of it. Just keep replenishing with beer, meat, and vegetables. The best. My friend is full and enjoying Makgeolli little by little. In the midst of the endless price increases of Genghis Khan, it is very much appreciated to be able to enjoy it at this price. The staff's response is quick and I really like this place. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much!

I visited this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. The meat was delicious and each table had a duct so there was no smell or smoke! The cost performance is also very good! This time, I ended up eating the staff meal (mentaiko, butter, green onion, bonito flakes) and couldn't make it to the ramen as the final dish, but next time! There was also an all-you-can-drink option. The restroom is shared, but it is clean and that is also a plus.

I came to Sapporo on a business trip and felt like eating lamb, so I visited here, which I had been curious about for a while. I ate and drank a lot and it was within my budget, so I think the cost performance is good. I have never been disappointed with lamb in Sapporo, but I think it's quite rare to have such deliciousness at this price. I am very satisfied today, so I think I will sleep soundly.

It's so sad that you can't enjoy Genghis Khan with beer. It's delicious, but it's also quite sad. Sapporo Classic and lamb shoulder all-you-can-eat and drink until you're full is the best, but having Genghis Khan with juice... What was Corona all about?

Sapporo has implemented shortened business hours again. I visited after watching a movie that ended at 6 pm. We ordered two sets of raw lamb: 1760 yen each. The lamb was delicious, with shoulder, leg, and loin cuts. I prefer the fatty shoulder, while my wife likes the leg. We also ordered additional servings of raw lamb shoulder for 770 yen, raw lamb leg for 820 yen, and extra vegetables (onions for 270 yen, bean sprouts for 260 yen). This restaurant is famous for its Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) in Sapporo. I hope they can expand their sales channels once the situation with COVID-19 improves. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went for dinner before my business trip. It was a little after 6 pm on a Sunday. The place is located along a small street that goes west from Tanukikoji to the 7th block. There was a sign saying "Solo diners welcome!!" so I felt comfortable going in. The restaurant was empty. Other nearby restaurants were also empty, so it seems that Tanukikoji is quiet on weekends after the inbound tourists have left. Many restaurants in Tanukikoji are closed on Mondays, but it seems that there are fewer people around on Sundays than on Mondays. I sat at the counter and started with a draft beer (Sapporo Classic) for 500 yen. I ordered the raw lamb shoulder (770 yen), raw lamb leg (820 yen), beef sagari (760 yen), and pickles (430 yen). A grill was set up right away, with fat and onions placed on top of it. The dipping sauce arrived shortly after. It was a soy sauce-based sauce with white sesame seeds. Chopped green onions and garlic were also served. Shichimi spice was already on the table. As the pickles and lamb leg arrived, I started eating. The lamb was cooked slowly, so there was no need to rush. I enjoyed the pickles and beer while waiting for the vegetables to cook. The shoulder was thickly sliced but be careful not to overcook it. It was best enjoyed at a medium-rare level. The sauce was a light soy sauce-based one. The meat was thick, giving a sense of volume. It was delicious, with a slight chewiness but not watery, retaining a "raw" quality. There was little fat and no unpleasant smell, typical of lamb. The leg was a bit richer and juicier, with stronger flavors and a softer texture. It was delicious. As I continued eating the lamb, the onions started to cook. I personally prefer just onions with my Genghis Khan, so I was satisfied. After finishing the lamb, I moved on to the beef sagari. It's a lean cut, but juicier compared to lamb. It had more umami, but lamb seems to be better for the body. I ordered another beer and shoulder. I had one more piece of lamb and then I was full. There was one group of customers before me and one after me. Thank you for the meal.

My family member was unwell, so I visited the restaurant alone. Although reservations are required, it was fine today probably because it's Friday. I ordered the raw lamb set for 1600 yen, which includes three types of meat and vegetables. The amount of meat was just right for a light dinner. I am a small eater, so it was sufficient for me. I also ordered extra vegetables (onions) for 240 yen for health reasons, but onions have a lot of carbs. It's the reliable Yamada Mongolia restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Menu correction: Lamb is only available in loin and shoulder cuts. Due to limited supply and difficulty in ensuring quality, leg cuts are not available for both set meals and individual orders. The waitress casually informed us that leg cuts were sold out right after opening. Good quality meat should be a given. When traveling (especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for visiting a grave), it's important to have a good meal and enjoyable service. The waitress was the same as before, showing no improvement. This restaurant is the worst in Sapporo in terms of service. They cannot communicate properly. Look at the menu, please!? My companion had the same impression and we both felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave quickly. This is something that everyone can feel.

I used to go to the Yamada Mongolia Station store before, but it closed. As usual, I visited after watching a movie at Theater Kino. The staff looked tired wearing face shields. Raw lamb shoulder: 700 yen, I like shoulder meat. The all-you-can-eat meat menu includes shoulder meat. Top-quality raw lamb loin: 850 yen, my wife prefers less fatty meat, but honestly, I can't tell the difference between shoulder and loin. Bean sprouts: 240 yen, onions come as default, bean sprouts need to be ordered. We were full after having 3 servings of loin and 2 servings of shoulder. Soul food for Hokkaido people, thank you for the meal.

I was invited by my boss to go out for drinks with some colleagues. We decided to go to Yamada Mongoru because we were in the mood for some meat. Although I had been to this restaurant over 10 times when it was near my old office, this is my first time posting about it. When we tried to make a reservation over the phone around 8 pm, we were told that they were fully booked for the night. When we asked how long the wait would be, they said about 10 minutes, which was perfect since it was a 10-minute walk from our current location. We decided to go anyway. We chose the 90-minute all-you-can-eat-and-drink course for 3,500 yen (excluding tax), which included draft beer and unlimited servings of raw lamb shoulder, onions, cabbage, and rice. The thickly sliced raw lamb was delicious! Even when we added the spicy condiment to the sauce, it wasn't too spicy. Adding plenty of green onions made it even more refreshing and tasty! Although there was only one type of meat available, we were too busy enjoying our beer to worry about it. Since it's close to my house, I will definitely come back again.

Yamada Mongolia in Tanukikoji on November 29th had delicious meat. For me, it was a special day rather than just good meat, but that's my own special meaning. So, we had all-you-can-eat raw lamb with all-you-can-drink. The shoulder meat this time felt a bit tough, but it was delicious! I think... Anyway, we had about 12 servings of lamb shoulder with vegetables for 4 people. Yamada Mongolia's lamb shoulder is really delicious! Thank you for the meal.

On 2019/09/22, I went to Yamada Mongolia in Tanukikoji. It's a place that most locals love, serving delicious grilled lamb dishes. Depending on the region, the dish can be seasoned or made with raw lamb or mutton rolls. In my hometown, we prefer marinated lamb grilled on a hot plate with Bell's sauce. When I first came to Sapporo, I tried the traditional Mongolian hot pot with unseasoned raw lamb, and I fell in love with it. Among all the places I've tried, Yamada Mongolia is my favorite for its affordable price and great taste. This time, I enjoyed the all-you-can-eat raw lamb shoulder dish. I was completely satisfied! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Wow, I never expected to be so impressed by my second Genghis Khan experience. After feeling disappointed by my first try, I took a chance and it paid off! I did some research and found out that this place is actually from Sendai. It's surprising that it's not in Sendai itself. Since I couldn't do all-you-can-eat, I ordered a set meal, added some extras, and got a bottle of wine. The wine selection was amazing and very affordable! I ordered it right after my draft beer. The meat was delicious, especially the shoulder, but I also added some lean lamb for variety. I wanted to challenge the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option that I missed out on at my first stop. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Hokkaido again.
