Noriaki
I visited this place a few times a long time ago when I was still in my 30s, but maybe I didn't appreciate its goodness back then. Recently, during the year-end and New Year period, I had the chance to wander around Kyoto Station and decided to revisit the "Lido dining area" after a long time. I chose this place, which I hadn't been to in a while. Luckily, I was able to enter twice when it was not crowded. First, at the year-end. I was amazed by the deliciousness of the SORACHI draft beer I had as my first drink, and the potato salad with blue cheese in the appetizer reminded me of old memories. "Beef tendon in chili sauce" Yes, this is it! It's delicious. The tender beef tendon and chili sauce go well together. The bread cleaned up the plate nicely. "Braised clams" A somewhat unusual menu, right? Large clams packed with meat. A truly delicious "braised" dish. This definitely calls for sake. I paired it with sake from Ine. I really wanted to enjoy more, but I had other plans, so that was it. And of course, I was curious, so I visited again at the beginning of the year. First, of course, "SORACHI" again. This day, too, the reliable potato salad made me nod in agreement. This time, I chose the "Negitoro fresh spring roll". Another very elaborate dish! Dip it in the sweet tamari soy sauce and... oh, delicious! The balance of Negitoro, cheese, vegetables, and the skin was excellent. It was a dish that I wanted to share as it was a bit too much for one person. The elaborate dishes created in that small space, and the wonderful lineup of sake, mainly Japanese sake, to go with them. It may be a bit difficult to enter when it's crowded, but if possible, I would definitely like to stop by again when it's not busy.
