Good evening. I am a beauty acupuncture therapist, Kozue. The other day, I went cafe hopping in Kyoto. This time, I visited cafe marble Bukkoji store, which is listed on Tabelog's Top 100 cafes. The cafe is located behind Bukkoji temple and is a renovated old house, creating a very nice atmosphere for a traditional house cafe. I chose the Quiche Plate, which comes with a daily quiche, orange juice, scones, and hot chai with rum. The plate also included a cold potato soup, which was perfect for a hot day. The plate had quiche, green salad, carrot salad, and bean salad, all beautifully presented and delicious. The quiche I had was Tandoori Chicken, with a mild spice level and a good portion size. The scones came in a set of two, one plain and one with raisins and walnuts. Both scones were warm and had a nice crispy texture. The chai had a balanced sweetness and a hint of spice, and adding rum made it even better. The orange juice was refreshing and had a fresh citrus sweetness. Overall, the food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere of the cafe was charming. The service was good, but could use a little improvement. It was a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

It was a wonderful shop♪ I ordered the daily tart (raspberry + chocolate + ?) and a café au lait. The crispy tart was delicious. The atmosphere inside the shop was nice, and I was able to relax and have an afternoon tea♪

I stopped by this shop around 3:30 pm on a weekday and it seemed quite popular as it quickly became full after I entered. I ordered a seasonal fruit tart and a cafe au lait. The tart was made with pears, and the crisp texture of the pear and the tart crust was very delicious. The interior of the shop had a calming atmosphere with a Japanese-style taste, as if it had been renovated from a traditional townhouse. They also sold take-out items and cookie tins, so I thought it would be nice to come just to buy souvenirs.

I purchased handmade cookies from the popular cafe, Cafe Marble. I bought a cookie can with a bear design (2800 yen including tax), vanilla sablé, cocoa sablé, Dia Manque cookie, matcha and hojicha shortbread, and a meringue. Each cookie is carefully handmade, visually appealing, and delicious. The can with a bear design is cute and would make a great souvenir gift. The cookie can includes 7 types of cookies packed tightly together, including crispy and fragrant sablé, a meringue with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and shortbread with a hint of Kyoto flavors like matcha and hojicha. The original can design with a bear is simple yet adorable.

I entered the store for the first time. It was a very cozy cafe with a calming atmosphere. I picked up a birthday fruit tart 18 centimeters that I had reserved online a few days ago for takeout. It was filled with plenty of pineapples, and the tart crust was firm, very satisfying. Next time, I would like to have tea and tart in the store. Thank you for the meal!

The atmosphere was very nice! I was impressed by the staff speaking English to foreign customers. I chose the daily cake, which was delicious. Above all, the iced coffee had a balanced acidity and bitterness, with a refreshing taste that was not overwhelming. It was excellent!

I saw this café in a magazine and had been wanting to visit. It is located a little off the main street of Karasuma along Bukkoji Street. I visited around 2:00 pm on a weekday, and the café was full. It seems to be a popular spot. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were seated inside. The interior of the café is cozy, with a homey feel. I had a nut tart and a ginger ale, and the tart was delicious! My friend ordered a scone, which also looked very tasty. ♡- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Nut Tart ¥550Ginger Ale ¥500♡- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I visited the same restaurant as last time. The visit was at 5:33 PM on a Saturday. I went with my family, a total of two people. There were customers already inside, so we waited outside for about 15 minutes before being seated on the sofa. I ordered the Kiwi Tart (550 yen), which had slices of kiwi on top of the tart base. The kiwi was just the right balance of sweet and sour, and the tart base was crispy and delicious. The whipped cream complemented the kiwi perfectly. I also ordered the Assam tea (500 yen), which was served hot in a clear teacup from a white pot. The aroma of the high-quality tea leaves was impressive, and it tasted smooth and delicious with the added milk. My companion ordered the Nut Tart (550 yen), which had walnuts and almonds on the tart base with caramel cream on the side. The tart was elegant and had a fragrant and nutty flavor. They also ordered coffee (500 yen), which I didn't taste, but it seemed rich and warm. Even though we had already enjoyed the quiche, the tarts were also delicious, and we left satisfied. If we have the chance, we would like to try other tarts and curries next time.

I had a seasonal vegetable quiche at this restaurant. They also offer a daily quiche option. I dined alone, but there were about 3 other solo diners in the quiet atmosphere.

In crowded Kyoto, it's rare to find a cafe that can accommodate 6 adults, but you can make seat reservations in advance by phone here. Located a 5-minute walk from Shijo-Karasuma, the renovated old house space is very cozy. When making a reservation, we were informed that the visit time was at 4:00 pm, with tables separated for 3 people each. The space is spacious, yet we were asked to move our table for no apparent reason. Although there were plenty of empty seats available, we were not guided to our initial seats nor were there any reserved signs placed in two locations as mentioned. The staff seemed robotic and lacked any softness or smiles, even when we were asked to consolidate our belongings. Another staff member did not make eye contact during the payment process. However, the kiwi tart we ate was delicious and reasonably priced at 550 yen, as well as the Earl Grey tea. The atmosphere of the building was nice, and we will visit again because reservations can be made.

I had a bad day with my hay fever, sneezing so much that it drained my energy. I was drawn in by the spicy aroma here and decided to have lunch. Even though the lunch service had just started, there were already many customers. The spacious interior, both vertically and horizontally, felt calming without any sense of being cramped. I was lured by the spice aroma, but I really wanted to eat a lot of vegetables, so I chose the daily quiche. I had tried quiche before, but I didn't usually choose it because I didn't like the pastry getting soggy from the vegetable moisture. However, the quiche here was served reheated, so it stayed crispy until the end without feeling soggy. I also tried a bit of my husband's keema curry, and it was so delicious that I can say for sure that the spice aroma was not a mistake. I'm glad I came here following the spice aroma. They also seemed to sell baked goods, gifts, and plates. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

On my third visit, I finally managed to order the quiche plate lunch (vegetable quiche) and it was delicious! I didn't remember the pasta from my previous visits, but this quiche was really tasty. It comes with soup and a drink for 1500 yen, which is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it considering the charming traditional Kyoto atmosphere.

Popular renovated cafe "cafe marble". Coffee (¥500) / Hojicha Tart (¥600) are popular items. If you're having lunch, the quiche is recommended, but if you're just having coffee, the tart is a popular choice. The hojicha tart uses hojicha from "Ippodo". The moist crust, smooth hojicha cream, and caramelized nuts are a perfect match. The taste, service, and atmosphere are all very meticulous and I really liked it.

Hi, it's Keinsuke! This time, I would like to introduce the pudding from the cafe "marble" in Karasuma, Kyoto. The atmosphere of this Kyoto-style old house cafe was charming, with many couples and groups of women enjoying themselves. However, it also felt welcoming for men to come alone. I found it easy to visit alone. When I arrived in the morning, I could easily get a seat, but after 12 o'clock, there was a line outside...! It seems that many customers come for lunch, and the quiche seems to be a popular item here.

◎Pudding (420 yen)
The pudding here is quite unique, resembling a square tofu. It is generously covered with bitter caramel, giving it a sophisticated flavor. You eat it like tofu steak, but it is undoubtedly a solid pudding.

A cafe that opened in the summer of 2007. The design team Marble.co opened a cafe in their office, which was the trigger. They renovated a 120-year-old townhouse, preserving as much of its charm as possible. In addition to cakes and tarts, they also offer savory menu items like quiche and curry. The star of the show is the square-shaped caramel-rich pudding! The dish beautifully showcases the luxurious caramel and its shine. The pudding is soft and surprisingly refreshing, making it easy to eat. The rich and bitter flavor of the caramel pairs well with the sweetness, creating a bold and rich taste. It's a perfect match with the refreshing pudding. Café Marble Bukkoji Store @cafemarble_kyoto Kyoto, Kyoto, Shimogyo Ward, Nishimae-cho 378 Last Wednesday 11:00-21:00 (Sunday until 20:00) 420 yen

I visited the cafe at night♪ It has a very relaxing atmosphere where you can spend time slowly. I really liked it! I forgot to take a picture, but I had a latte and a tart with vanilla ice cream and rum raisins. The tart was recommended and it was really delicious (^^)

I had a quiche lunch! I chose the regular quiche instead of the daily special, which would have been an extra 50 yen! The set came with quiche, salad, and soup for around 1100 yen. The salad had plenty of lettuce, carrot salad, and bean salad. Everything was delicious, but the carrot salad was a bit long and hard to eat, like pasta! The quiche was filled with lots of vegetables and was quite large. The eggs were fluffy, and the crust was crispy and crunchy! The cafe had a warm atmosphere like an old folk house!

I tried the Christmas limited edition quiche. The quiche itself was decently tasty with a combination of corn and bacon, giving off a very potage-like vibe. It was interesting, but overall just okay. The pastry had a nice crispy texture and the smell of the eggs was pleasant. The surprise came on the side of the plate - they also included coq au vin (chicken cooked in red wine)! It was delicious. The delicate flavors were subtle, but the well-balanced taste was solid. At first, I thought it was chicken liver (lol), but it turned out to be a serious and well-crafted dish. The various garnishes and sides were all tasty and had their own unique flavors. The smoked salmon and salad were both distinctive. The initial soup, though consommé, had a taste reminiscent of Japanese dashi... I really enjoyed the lotus root. After that, I wanted to spend the rest of the afternoon here, so I also ordered a tart and coffee refill. The classic combination of chocolate, banana, and almond was delightful. Texture is important - when it's well-balanced, you can't stop eating. The only downside was being led to a strange, isolated area near the main dining room where the staff hardly came by... I understand they may be short-staffed, but it was cold and lonely in that corner room...

I finished my morning errands and decided to have lunch at a nearby restaurant I found on Tabelog. Inside, the atmosphere was calm and stylish, creating a unique space. I remember being able to choose from two types of quiche plates, so I ordered the vegetable-based quiche. It came with a side salad and marinated vegetables, all of which were delicious. The only downside was that the soup (a tomato-based minestrone) was lukewarm. However, it was a cozy and inviting place that made me want to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I was looking for a cafe where I could make a reservation after lunch and found this place on Tabelog. There are plenty of places for tea around Karasuma, but I think there are not many restaurants that can accommodate 6 people, and waiting in line at a cafe can be tough. I wanted to make a reservation if possible. It seems that we will be seated at different tables in groups of 3, and I was able to make a reservation. When I arrived on the day, there were about 6 people lined up in front of the restaurant. It was a good decision to make a reservation. When the time came, the staff came out to call us in. The seating on the second floor, where shoes are not allowed, is quite steep. It feels like an old Japanese house. The second floor has a sense of openness, with sunlight coming in through the windows, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Now, looking at the menu, even though I was full, I felt like having a tart (laughs). I love pistachios, so I chose the cherry and pistachio tart. My friend went for the seasonal fruit tart, which had Asian pears. The tart had a thin crust, making it easy to eat. Sometimes tarts have thick crusts, causing the crust and filling or fruit to separate in your mouth. That is simply unpleasant and not tasty. Here, everything blends well in your mouth, without any conflicting flavors. It was delicious. I really enjoyed taking my time. I would love to visit again.

After purchasing wine in Okazaki, I wandered around Gion and towards Karasuma in the rain. We planned to have tea, but the original place was unexpectedly closed, so we headed to this nearby shop instead. The first floor was crowded, so we were seated on the second floor, which had plenty of space. I ordered the Griotte Cherry and Pistachio Tart (750 yen) and an Iced Cafe au Lait (600 yen). The shop mainly focuses on tarts, and this limited edition tart caught my eye. It will be available until Christmas. The balance between the sweet and sour cherry and the sweetness of the pistachio was excellent. The colors of red and green also looked vibrant. I enjoyed my tart with an iced cafe au lait while relaxing for a while. The rain intensified with thunder, but eventually subsided. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
