This bakery, located in Peacock as a tenant, offers unexpectedly delicious "fresh bread". Priced at 300 yen per loaf, it may seem a bit pricey compared to supermarket bread, but the taste and texture are exceptional. When I served it to my family, they were amazed and thought it must be from a high-end bakery. However, it is only 300 yen per loaf. The softness, sweetness, and overall balance of this bread are top-notch. The cost performance is outstanding. Additionally, you can pay for the bread with the barcode at the Peacock register or directly at the bakery. I don't want to tell anyone about it, but the satisfaction level in terms of cost and taste balance exceeds 200%.

The In-store Bakery at Peacock Store (formerly Daimaru Peacock) Bunkyo Green Court store is operated by Real Pasco Bakeries (formerly Pasco Tokyo), similar to PAUL, Fochon, and Peck. It is located in the basement of the Bunkyo Green Court building, which was completed in 1998 and is situated south of Rikugien, along Funzaka Street, on the land of the Kaken Pharmaceuticals headquarters. I visited this bakery after bookmarking it two years ago, following my visit to Atelier Delicieux at the Mita Isarago store in March 2017. While Peacock Store is now an Aeon Market, I have been a customer since the Daimaru Peacock days and have a Waon point card. However, Bakery Monika, also operated by Real Pasco Bakeries, does not accept Waon points even though it is located within Peacock Store. The bakery is located towards the left side of the store, with a shared seating area and an open terrace outside where you can enjoy your purchased bread. I also did some shopping at Peacock Store while there. At Bakery Monika, I selected items such as the Sakura Jelly Danish, Black Bean Delight, and Apple Queen Amande using tongs and placed them on a tray before checking out at the dedicated Bakery Monika counter. The Black Bean Delight had a delicious kinako topping, and the limited-time Sakura Jelly Danish was exceptionally tasty. My husband tried the Apple Queen Amande, but I have no comments on that. I am eager to return to buy more of the Sakura Jelly Danish, but unfortunately, I do not have the time to visit today. Access to the Bunkyo Green Court store is convenient from Takadanobaba or Ueno Matsuzakaya via the Toei Bus "Bunkyo Green Court-mae" bus stop on Funzaka Street, but I do not have the time for that today.

I found something cute at the in-store bakery Monica in the Peacock Store in the basement of Bunkyo Green Court, about a 10-minute walk from Komagome Station (๑･̑◡･̑). They had Halloween party-themed pastries with black cats, ghosts, and Jack-O'-Lanterns for ¥320 + tax, which isn't too expensive, right? Be careful not to crush the shapes when taking them home. And no, the black cat isn't Jiji! In my generation, black cats mean Tango, Tango, Tango. Is that too old-fashioned? The black cat pastry has chocolate cream inside, the ghost has a white chocolate coating with cream filling, and the Jack-O'-Lantern is a melon bread with a Pocky stem (╹◡╹). They are all very soft and the basket is made of bread, making it a very affordable treat.

I visited various bakeries and tried high-end bread from famous shops featured on TV, but I concluded that the bread here is the most delicious. The salted bread and the raw bread are essential in my daily life. I can feel the staff constantly innovating and challenging themselves with new products. The closest supermarket to my home is Peacock, so I use it several times a week. Inside the Bunkyo Green Court, there is a bakery in Peacock. I have tried almost all the varieties, but my favorites are the hotel bread, apple pie, and shiopan. Recently, I have been buying the weekend donuts a lot. Sometimes they have a special where everything is 102 yen, so I end up buying a lot more. The shiopan has a concentrated saltiness at the bottom of the bread. It's usually available and tastes normal when cold, but it's really good when fresh out of the oven. The apple pie has chunks of apples in it, which I love. It's perfect for snack time. The weekend donuts are fluffy bread in the shape of a donut with glaze on top. They come in shikwasa and plain flavors. I haven't tried the shikwasa one, but it's my recent favorite. At night, they are individually packed and sold at a slightly discounted price. Since it's inside the supermarket, I always end up buying something. Thank you for the delicious food.

Located on the basement floor of Bunkyo Green Court, in a corner of Daimaru Peacock. They offer various types of bread such as sliced bread, rolls, pastries, savory bread, and donuts. If you visit shortly after Peacock opens at around 10 am, the selection of bread is limited and the shelves are half empty. I wanted to buy chapata, but I guess I have to come later. The 5 types of mini bread are 50 yen each, or you can get 5 for 200 yen. - Cafe Lotte Noir (160 yen): I was drawn to the idea of freezing and enjoying this bread, so I bought it. I put it in the freezer as soon as I got home and ate it after a while. It's quite large, but the bread dough is thin and the inside is mostly hollow. The surface is coated with a coffee-flavored cream(?), filled with butter and sugar, and the bottom is crispy from the burnt coffee dough. The amount of butter and sugar is minimal, so it's not too rich, and the refreshing saltiness is effective. It looks interesting, but the taste is average. I don't think it changes much even when frozen. The other bread that can be frozen, cream bread, might have been better. - Hotel Roll (50 yen): The surface is smooth and firm, and the inside is a bit fluffy. I think supermarket butter rolls are better than this.

Expensive prices. Average taste.
