Plain Muffin and Cheese France at Toranomon Hills luxury supermarket. You might think there's no reason to go, right? Surprisingly, it's actually quite useful for us commoners. The bread is cheaper than a mediocre brasserie but still quite elegant and affordable. The muffin is large and moist, with a flavor similar to castella cake. The Cheese France is like an avalanche of cheese. When heated, the rich cheese fills your mouth. The French dough is soft and easy to eat. Let's save the famous Ohagi for another day and look forward to it.

The lunch space at my temporary workplace was not popular among some people, but they were constantly using it. The furniture in the lunch space was monochrome, which led me to start going to this restaurant with a calming woodgrain interior. I want to keep coming back!

I went to buy a salmon seaweed bento, but they were sold out (maybe because it's the Hills Card 10x period?). I ended up getting an ancient black rice bento, and the rice was still warm and the mackerel with Kyoto-style miso was delicious. It also came with vegetable tempura which was a good value. The strawberry cup dessert had a rich yellow sponge cake, thick cream, and flavorful strawberries, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The oyster fry had a slightly thick batter, which may be a matter of personal preference. They were selling Saitama-grown Sayama tea in PET bottles, which was unusual. Unfortunately, the indoor seating area was not available so I had to eat at the outdoor tables facing the aisle.

Connected directly from Toranomon Hills Station, and connected by an underground passage from Toranomon Station, this food market is located on the basement 1st floor of Toranomon Hills Business Tower. It offers fresh produce such as vegetables, meat, and fish, as well as deli dishes made in the in-store kitchen with a focus on domestic and additive-free ingredients. I entered on a Sunday at 10:30 am. My goal was to try ohagi, as it was featured on TV as being available on Sundays. Since it was still early, I had planned to buy onigiri and leave, but there were no signs of them being prepared yet. By around 11:30 am, there was a wide selection of bento boxes available. I tried the Hokkaido red bean ohagi (1 piece for 160 yen, excluding tax), made with Hokkaido red beans and a carefully crafted sweet bean paste using minimally refined sanonto sugar made from sugarcane. Ohagi has an elegant image, so the name might be more fitting for botamochi. The mochi rice inside is slightly undercooked, retaining the texture of the rice grains. The amount of bean paste is substantial! Personally, I prefer a higher ratio of mochi, as I was not a fan of bean paste as a child. However, I could understand the attention to detail and popularity of this ohagi. There was also an eat-in space inside the store. In addition to pre-made deli dishes, the shop offers a selection of fresh produce, meat, fish, dried goods, sweets, and more, resembling a supermarket.

The subtly sweet coarse red bean paste was plentiful! It was very delicious♪ I can understand why this is also popular. Highly recommended for those who prefer plenty of coarse red bean paste. The supermarket Fukushima-ya on the basement floor of Toranomon Hills Business Tower, which I uploaded in the evening (you can see the inside of the store in the evening blog) has delicious scones too. The popular Fukushima-ya homemade "Gonokami Ohagi" is also available. The day before I went, there was a board mentioning that the "Gonokami Ohagi" limited to 50 servings per day at Fukushima-ya's Toranomon Hills store was introduced by Moshimo Tours. The Fukushima-ya homemade "Gonokami Ohagi" uses Hokkaido Tokachi organic adzuki beans "Murasaki Awase" and is carefully cooked with refined sanonto sugar and natural salt. It costs 180 yen for one piece and 360 yen for two pieces. When you transfer it to a plate at home, you will be surprised by its size! The plentiful coarse red bean paste looks very delicious. The gentle sweetness is very tasty. This is delicious. Also, the fact that there is a small amount of rice inside is also good. I highly recommend this ohagi for those who prefer plenty of coarse red bean paste.

During my lunch break at Toranomon Hills Business Tower, I found myself exploring the building and lost track of time. I ended up using this eat-in area, which offers a variety of vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood, side dishes, bakery items, eggs, and more, all harvested in Fukushima Prefecture. It's a fun store with a great selection of salads. I opted for a smaller size salad as I also wanted to try the watermelon dessert. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Balsamic Salad for 680 yen and the Watermelon and Agar Jelly for 380 yen. The salad was delicious with plenty of balsamic vinegar, and the octopus and salmon were very satisfying. The watermelon dessert was also great. I enjoyed my meal in the private eat-in area. Thank you for the delicious food!

Fukushima offers a variety of food items such as bread and bento boxes. There is also a place to eat after purchasing, so many people choose to have lunch here. Personally, I enjoy buying freshly roasted coffee to drink after the meal. The brand varies each day, and on this day it was Mandheling. It has a subtle acidity and is easy to drink. They also sell desserts, so if you avoid lunchtime, you can relax and enjoy your time there.

I decided to take a walk around Toranomon Hills to get breakfast. I found a spacious supermarket and decided to go in. They had a wide variety of items, from bento boxes to bread to udon, which was more extensive than a convenience store. I bought an onigiri at the self-checkout and ate it in the unmanned eating area. The hand-rolled onigiri with salmon was delicious, with a gentle homemade flavor and a hint of saltiness. It was my first time trying it at Toranomon Hills and I loved it.

I thought there would be a lot of eggplants, but there was actually more meat. It was delicious! A lifesaver during a busy lunch break. The potato salad did a great job. Thank you for the meal.

Many people prefer dining alone, so it can be a bit crowded, but this deli shop was very lively and bustling.

It was just before 3 pm on a weekday, and most of the shops were closing. This place, however, is open until 3 pm, which was very convenient. They offer set meals like fried chicken, chicken nanban, fried horse mackerel, grilled hokke, and cold shabu salad. The set meals come with rice, miso soup, two side dishes, and a small appetizer. The prices range from 900 yen to 1,500 yen, which is quite reasonable considering the area. You buy a meal ticket beforehand and then take a seat. Since it was not busy, the food was served without needing to hand in the ticket first. Today, I chose the cold shabu salad set. The side dishes were dried daikon radish and thinly sliced radish. The overall taste was on the lighter side, maybe a bit lacking in flavor. Especially the cold shabu meat was dry and tough, which was a bit disappointing. There was also some water coming out from the cabbage underneath, making it a bit watery. Nevertheless, it's a rare find where you can get a well-balanced set meal at a low price. Thank you for the meal.

This is a market on the B1 floor of Toranomon Hills Business Tower. I come here for a walk almost every lunchtime on workdays. The main store in Hamura is popular and seems to be a specialty supermarket. I've tried various items at the Toranomon store, and while some were delicious, others didn't meet my expectations. It's a bit pricey, but having a market in the business district that also offers deli items is very convenient. Being able to have something other than convenience store bento for lunch is a real treat!
Here are my favorite deli items that I keep coming back for:
- Meatballs: 520 yen (tax included) for a pack of 3. They are big, well-cooked on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. They are surprisingly delicious and different from what I expected meatballs to be. I've tried meatballs from other supermarkets, but so far, none have impressed me as much as the ones from this market.
- Homemade Tamagoyaki: 140 yen (tax included). I usually don't buy egg deli items for health reasons, but the price tempted me to try it as an addition to my bento. It's surprisingly delicious and has a unique flavor that makes me buy it whenever I see it available.
I also often buy the fried oysters (big and tasty) and the homemade carrot salad. The onigiri (rice balls) are simple and come in salmon, plum, and seaweed flavors. They are large and reasonably priced, perfect for a quick lunch. The bakery and sweets, however, are not as impressive as the main store's offerings. Overall, I recommend trying the deli items at this market.

I revisited a store in the Minato Ward that was offering PayPay points as part of a campaign. I parked my car at Hills parking lot and arrived around 13:20 on a Saturday. Since it was a Saturday, there weren't many customers, making it easy to shop. There were about 5 self-checkout machines, so I didn't have to wait in line to make my purchase. I bought vegetables and took a photo of the salad I purchased this time. The salad selection was limited, but there were some with different toppings. I bought a large salad for my family and a small salad for my child's home. The taste was nothing special, but the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, giving a sense of value. Next time, I will make sure to securely seal the lid with the tape provided at the checkout before taking it home.

During a campaign in the Minato Ward where PayPay points are being offered, I visited the restaurant again to make a takeaway purchase on a weekday Saturday after 12 pm. The checkout is self-service, and since it was a Saturday, the restaurant was not crowded. After making a self-payment, I asked the staff to add points to my parking and Hills app, and they were happy to assist. I bought various items, including a salad with dressing. However, I forgot to take a picture of my purchases. The salad dressing leaked a bit in the bag as I tilted it slightly while heading to another store, so be careful when carrying it. I also bought miso ramen, which had a mild garlic flavor and an overall delicious taste without any strong or unusual flavors.

I have visited the Fukushima-ya store at Ark Hills many times, but since I found out they also have a store at Toranomon Hills, I decided to visit for the first time. I thought Toranomon's Fukushima-ya would not be eligible for the PayPay app campaign, but when I saw a sign inside the store saying it was a participating store for the 20% point bonus campaign in Minato-ku, I decided to make a purchase. The store was not crowded, and there was no line at the self-checkout. I found a dorayaki with only red bean paste filling, which I wasn't sure if I would like, so I decided to try a dorayaki from the same manufacturer first. It turned out to be delicious. I also bought a Chinese soba with fresh noodles that was free of chemical seasonings, and it tasted like a normal soy sauce ramen. I enjoyed adding the purchased peanut butter to make it taste like tantanmen. I was intrigued by the additive-free ham and found it to have a good meat flavor with a subtle aroma. The slices were of a normal thickness, and I personally felt they were slightly thicker. The pack was long-lasting and low in salt compared to other packaged hams. The peanut butter came in both sugared and unsweetened varieties, and I chose the unsweetened one. It had a great peanut aroma and tasted delicious, although it tended to absorb moisture in the mouth and become a bit pasty when eaten on its own. I did not take photos of the salad, but it was generously portioned, and you could season it with your preferred dressing before eating.

I rarely go to Toranomon, but the excitement of going there is to buy the wood-fired oven cookies. However, when I went to buy the raisin and chocolate flavors, they only had mixed cookies. I was told that they mainly sell mixed cookies and individual flavors are rare. The mix in each bag varies, so it's hard to find a bag with mostly the flavors you like. It started off as buying only the flavors I like, but when flavors I don't like are included, it feels like a waste both mentally and financially. After buying them five times, I finally lost interest. The Gono-Kami Ohagi (rice cakes with sweet bean paste) had a lot of bean paste, but the aftertaste was slightly salty. Among the other items I bought, the best one was the homemade Satsuma herb chicken nuggets. The thigh meat was good, but I'll buy the breast meat next time. If I go again, I wonder if the flavors will be the same at the Akihabara store? I bought some from Akihabara as well, but they were different. It might depend on the day or the person making them. Thank you for the meal. Self-checkout and takeaway bags are charged, but the transparent vinyl bags are free, which is helpful when buying the chicken nuggets. I don't need disposable chopsticks, spoons, or forks.

There is a shop selling bento boxes and side dishes in the basement of Toranomon Hills. I bought a baked donut as a snack, and there was no one at the cashier, so I used the self-checkout alone. The baked donut was moist and not greasy, so I would like to try other items as well.

I went to Toranomon Hills but had never gone underground, so I was very excited to find Fukushimaya. It's a supermarket selling vegetables, meat, side dishes, and bread, giving off a vibe similar to Kinokuniya or Seijo Ishii due to its location. However, the pricing was surprisingly different considering the location. The whole place had a natural feel to it, making me think it was related to Fukushima Prefecture, but it turned out to be from Hachimura City in Tokyo. I thought it could appear on the TV show "Cambria Palace," but it turns out it already did in 2015. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it. Probably because it's not nearby, so I didn't pay attention to it. While browsing the store without intending to buy anything, I spotted a sign for "Firewood Kiln Cookies!" They looked delicious, and even though they were not on display yet, I had a feeling they would be soon. After a few minutes of wandering around, a few bags were newly displayed. I felt a bit embarrassed as I noticed a rival doing the same thing. I purchased two items for a total of 938 yen, with each bag priced at 330 yen for 100g. There was a slight price difference between the two. The Firewood Kiln Baked Raisin Cookies were 565 yen, and the Firewood Kiln Baked Chocolate Butter Sablé was 373 yen for a pack of 10. The Raisin Cookies reminded me of how I used to enjoy warming up All Raisin from Tohato in the toaster. The raisins were packed and crunchy, which was irresistible. The Chocolate Butter Sablé, made with Belgian chocolate, had a rich flavor but not overwhelming chocolate taste. I liked both of them. The prices were unbelievably cheap! I wish I had bought more. I wonder how the taste differs between firewood kiln baking and oven baking. I'd like to visit the firewood kiln restaurant in Hachimura City. Hachimura City sounds nice. Payment was at a self-checkout counter, and I found the experience very enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

I walked from Akasaka to Toranomon Hills. The destination, Hotaru no Hikari, was closed, but oh well. When in need, there's Toranomon Hills. I like the underground passage from Mori Tower to Business Tower, where you hardly see anyone, giving off a mysterious vibe. I always end up taking photos whenever I pass by. This shop sells a variety of items like deli foods, alcohol, drinks, seasonings, and cooking utensils like pots. It's similar to AKOMEYA, but AKOMEYA focuses more on seasonings and offers consistently delicious items year-round. Fukushimaya is like a food select shop that recommends different products each season. They use carefully selected seasonings for their deli foods sold in-store. It's wonderful to see them being made right in front of you. The layout is incredibly easy to navigate. The products are not overcrowded and spaced out well, making it very easy to see each item. I also like the crowded feel of convenience stores or Don Quijote, but this organized layout is great. I bought some bread for tomorrow morning. Currently, the eat-in option is not available due to infection prevention measures.
