There is a restaurant located in Toranomon 3-chome, Toranomon 36 Mori Building B1F along National Route 1. Following the Roppongi branch, I decided to have lunch at "Ming Ming", a popular restaurant. The place was packed with customers from counter seats to table seats, and the atmosphere had a foreign charm. Without hesitation, I ordered the Ming Ming set meal (tax included 840 yen) from the extensive lunch menu. It came with fried rice, grilled dumplings, egg soup, pickled vegetables, mini salad, and a mini almond jelly dessert. Both the fried rice and grilled dumplings were delicious without any complaints. The grilled dumplings had a smooth and soft skin filled with plenty of ingredients, and the outer layer was crispy. They were just the right size and I could eat as many as I wanted. The combination with the soy sauce + vinegar + chili oil sauce was excellent. The fried rice was moist and packed with the umami flavor of the char siu, with a punchy taste. It paired well with the dumplings. The almond jelly dessert was like a refreshing break. It was rich, smooth, and delicious. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

The first cold noodles of the year at the restaurant! Cold noodles never disappoint. The taste here is consistent and reliable. In the Toranomon area, lunch options are either popular places with long lines or lesser-known spots. The people working here seem to be earning a decent salary, and their taste buds are refined. You can tell a good restaurant from a mediocre one just by looking at the lunchtime crowds. This place had a line, so it must be good.

I have known about this Roppongi restaurant for a few years and heard that their gyoza is delicious. Finally, I discovered that it is located in Toranomon when I was looking for a venue for a farewell party. The charm of their course is that for 4200 yen, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat gyoza. The gyoza has thin skin and is bite-sized, making it easy to eat. My colleagues and I ordered a total of 23 servings of gyoza. The beer is good, but the sour drinks are just okay. The other dishes were also good, without any unpleasant oily smell. Everyone was satisfied, and we had a great farewell party. P.S. I was surprised to find out they have a branch in Osaka when I visited there.

The curry fried rice set with additional gyoza was a common choice, but the curry fried rice was so delicious that I could eat it endlessly. The added gyoza was crispy, chewy, and piping hot, making it a truly delicious dish. It was a bit over 1,000 yen for lunch, but I was able to find a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Lunch options include noodles or set meals, and for an additional 290 yen, you can also have dumplings. There are also lunch sets focused on dumplings. It tends to get crowded around 11:45 AM due to being in an office area, so it's better to go early. The dumplings have a soft skin and are of medium size. Overall, the lunches are typical for an office area, but the taste is not bad.

I visited during the usual lunch time. There was a line with about 5 people around 12 o'clock, but the turnover was fast, so I was able to enter in less than 10 minutes. Many people were having set meals for lunch. I ordered the Sleepy Sleepy Set. It's a set with the classic pan-fried dumplings and fried rice. The set with boiled dumplings and pan-fried dumplings also seems to be popular. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The set meal costs 1,000 yen and you even get change back, so it's wallet-friendly. The set includes dumplings, fried rice, egg soup, pickled vegetables, a mini salad, and almond jelly. The dumplings are slightly small, with thin and crispy skin. The filling is vegetable-rich and flavorful yet light. Even after finishing one plate, you feel like you could eat another. I enjoyed them with vinegar and chili oil. The fried rice is moist and has a savory flavor from the char siu. It has a nostalgic taste that makes you crave it once you remember it.

During my customer visits, I stopped by for lunch. The entrance was narrow, but the inside was spacious. It was past lunchtime, but about half of the seats were taken. I didn't know that Gyoza originated in Osaka. The pan-fried dumplings were easy to eat. The stir-fried pea shoots had little meat. Without the dumplings, it felt like something was missing.

I visited for lunch on Saturday and ordered a draft beer set with draft beer, grilled dumplings, and yakisoba with five ingredients. The yakisoba was not firm like kata-yakisoba, but had a crispy texture on the noodles. At first, I thought they made a mistake, but it might be the way it's supposed to be. The hot noodles my family ordered were so bland that it seemed like something was missing. Even after adding a whole dish of salt that was brought to us, it still wasn't enough. The restaurant looks nice, but the kitchen staff's uniforms were dirty, which bothered me a bit.

On Monday, we visited the restaurant for a meeting extension with the members. Today, we tried the "All-You-Can-Eat Grilled Dumplings Course - Limited to Toranomon Store -" for the first time, priced at 3,800 yen. The course includes unlimited grilled dumplings and 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink (last order 15 minutes before the end). In addition, 8 other dishes are also served! The taste is decent and you can drink heartily. All this food and unlimited drinks for 3,800 yen! It's fantastic, isn't it?

Shinbashi-machi office outing day. On August 12th, the office was empty due to the previous day being Mountain Day on August 11th and Saturday on August 13th. Despite this, the head office manager, who always comes to the office, invited me to lunch. When asked where to go, I led the way to this restaurant, feeling like I had already tried many places. Menmen is a chain restaurant founded in Osaka in 1953. They now have branches in urban areas, and I have been to the ones in Nakano and Kinshicho. They are known for their light and easy-to-eat dumplings, but their noodles and stir-fried dishes are also quite delicious. However, I had forgotten the menu since it had been a while since my last visit. A single portion of dumplings set meal costs 560 yen, which is quite reasonable, but on that day, I had the daily special menu B set - a hearty curry fried rice for 780 yen. The restaurant has a layout that somehow feels nostalgic, like something out of a Chinese kung fu movie. It reminded me of a similar atmosphere at a local restaurant chain in Tama area called Mantonki (now Fuji-mi Shokudo?). The staff consists mainly of Chinese people, but they give off a very Japanese-friendly impression. They are bright and have smiles on their faces. After ordering, the curry fried rice arrived quite quickly. The taste was as expected, with a moist curry pilaf or dry curry feel to it. The ingredients included finely chopped green peppers, carrots, eggs, and char siu. It was spicy and quite delicious. The side dishes included cabbage salad, zasai (pickled mustard greens), egg soup, and almond jelly. The most impressive was the almond jelly. In the authentic Chinese restaurants run by Chinese people that I often visit, almond jelly often comes with the lunch set, but the almond jelly at this restaurant was the most delicious. It had a creamy milk-flavored fruit jelly feel to it. After visiting for the first time in a while, I realized that the level of completion and cost performance of the dishes cannot compete with Japanese-run chain restaurants. Authentic Chinese restaurants often leave something to be desired in terms of taste, despite filling you up. I think this may be due to a focus on cost-saving in terms of ingredients rather than cooking methods. Japanese-run chain restaurants, on the other hand, seem to have a certain level of competition with rival restaurants, which may lead to more attention to menu development. Menmen, originating from Osaka where "cheap and delicious" is highly valued, seemed to have a sense of pride. I felt that this restaurant was a step above the Chinese restaurants around Shinbashi Station, and I would like to include it in my rotation of dining options.

After finishing work, I visited the restaurant with two colleagues. We arrived before 8:30 pm and found only groups of four customers inside. We started with a toast with beer and ordered some food: steamed chicken with green onions and salt, grilled dumplings, spring rolls, mapo eggplant, and finished with cold noodles. The food was delicious as always. We finished dining in just over an hour and left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

The fried dumpling set meal for 560 yen includes dumplings, rice, soup, salad, and almond jelly. It's a great deal for the price, but honestly, the taste was just average. On Thursday night, three colleagues visited for the first time. The weather was perfect, so we sat on the terrace. The terrace allows smoking and has a wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed dishes like pea shoots stir-fry, dumplings, spring rolls, mapo eggplant, seafood and vegetable stir-fry, chicken with cucumber, and stir-fried bean sprouts, accompanied by beer and boppy. We had multiple servings of dumplings. The pea shoots stir-fry was slightly salty, perfect with beer. The chicken had a tasty sauce and was served with white leeks and cucumber. The dumplings were well seasoned with a good salty flavor. The spring rolls were filled with plenty of ingredients and delicious. The mapo eggplant with minced meat was also very good. The seafood and vegetable stir-fry had shrimp, squid, shimeji mushrooms, bell peppers, and various other ingredients, all tasty. The stir-fried bean sprouts were crunchy. Overall, the flavors were decent. It's definitely more cost-effective to go for the all-you-can-drink course rather than ordering items individually. Next time, I'll go for the course. Thank you for the meal.

I heard that Toranomon is a place where it's hard to find lunch spots. Since I was dining alone, I was able to enter surprisingly easily. I love both pan-fried dumplings and boiled dumplings, so I looked for them on the menu and ordered the "Pan-fried Dumplings and Boiled Dumplings Set". Each serving was just right in terms of portion size. It was really delicious.

Date: April 21, 2021 (Wednesday), sunny Second visit, entered at 11:01 AM, first customer, followed by 2 others Ordered the Vegetable-packed Hot Noodles: 650 yen I visited before work in search of Tanmen. I entered the restaurant and took a seat at a vacant table for two. I confirmed the "Vegetable-packed Hot Noodles" on the menu and placed my order verbally. A glass of water was brought to the table promptly. The table was equipped with soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and ground pepper for seasoning. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the dish was served. The noodles were thin, curly, and slightly yellow in color (presumably produced in-house). They were cooked just right, with a good texture and firmness. However, the eco-friendly metal chopsticks made it difficult to grip the noodles as they were slippery. Ingredients: Pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), wood ear mushrooms The pork and vegetables were stir-fried before being simmered in the soup. The pork was thinly sliced shoulder loin, with a slightly firm texture and no hint of unpleasant odor. The vegetables, such as cabbage, had a crisp texture, and the cabbage had very few core parts, making it easy to eat. The komatsuna had a slight hint of bitterness, adding to the overall flavor profile and vibrant green color. The wood ear mushrooms were pleasantly firm and chewy. The amount of vegetables, around 250g, seemed sufficient. The soup was cloudy with a salty flavor, served at a fairly hot temperature. The broth was primarily made from chicken bones and aromatic vegetables, with added seasonings that didn't overpower the umami taste. The oil and salt levels were just right. I added some ground pepper from the table, which added a sharp spiciness and enhanced the overall flavor. I finished the dish, enjoying both the ingredients and noodles. Overall, this chain restaurant's Tanmen was well-prepared and flavorful. The price for a single dish felt reasonable. There were more vegetables in this dish compared to the Hot Noodles I had at the Roppongi branch before. The restaurant had a clean atmosphere, and the service was average (mostly Japanese staff). I visited this restaurant a while ago. I found this place through GoTo Eat, as there weren't many options for dinner (without alcohol). I made a reservation and when I arrived a bit early, I was surprised. The restaurant was completely dark with no one in sight. I double-checked my reservation email, and indeed I still had about 15 minutes left. I waited anxiously, and just a few minutes before my reservation time, the lights came on and the restaurant opened. I ordered the shrimp chili and dumplings set for dinner. It was beautifully presented, but the sauce had too strong of a mayonnaise flavor. The dumplings seemed to be the highlight, and compared to other restaurants, it was very reasonably priced, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.

I visited Minmin located right next to Toranomon Hills Station. I tried the vegetable-packed Tanmen for 680 yen. The vegetable broth and chicken salt-based soup had a familiar taste. The noodles were thin and curly, lacking in chewiness. The recommended Gyoza for 260 yen surprised me with its lamb-based filling and thin skin. It had a unique flavor and texture that made it enjoyable even on its own. Personally, I prefer Tanmen with Gyoza filled with leeks and minced meat, so it was a bit different for me. However, considering the reasonable prices in this area, I will try other menu items next time.

I entered a Chinese restaurant in the basement of an office building. I assume their specialty is dumplings, but I was in the mood for sweet and sour pork set meal. It cost 780 yen. Overall, it was a normal set meal. It was delicious in a regular way. The sweet and sour pork had chunky pork pieces with a good portion size, and the sweet and sour flavor was just right. The crispy texture of the deep-fried onions was also good, delivering the expected deliciousness. The salad was just shredded greens and cabbage, a bit bland. The soup was light and also a bit bland. On the other hand, the almond jelly was delicious. Many lunchtime almond jellies are cheap-tasting canned versions, but this one was creamy and rich. It was very satisfying.

I used it for my farewell party on September 27, 2019 (Friday). It is located between Toranomon and Kamiyacho. Despite being in an office district, the terrace of the restaurant, which is half underground, is surrounded by greenery, allowing you to take a breather. I had heard rumors that "the gyoza is delicious," and it was true, but everything else was also very tasty. First of all, the dishes come out quickly! And enjoying a meal while looking at Toranomon Hills surrounded by trees on the terrace makes you forget that you are in an office district. I didn't try all the menu items, but my personal recommendation is the boiled gyoza. The prices are reasonable, and I don't think it cost more than 6,000 yen for two people. I highly recommend visiting at least once. By the way, I went on a Friday night, and almost all the seats were taken. I recommend making a reservation.

I visited around noon on a weekday and the restaurant was already almost full. I ordered the weekly set meal which was stir-fried chicken and cashew nuts with 3 dumplings. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The portion of rice was generous. The salad and soup were average. The stir-fry had a rich flavor which went well with the rice. The highlight was definitely the dumplings, with a delicious and finely minced filling. The price of 1000 yen for this meal at this place is quite reasonable. The dumplings alone can make you feel full. Being satisfied with a full stomach from lunch is happiness. That's probably why this place is so popular.

Wednesday. Toranomon. Around 12:30. As I entered the restaurant, I was asked if I was dining alone. Since the counter was full, I was directed to a table where a solo diner was already seated diagonally across from me. I ordered the weekly special noodle set for 890 yen, which consisted of minced meat and beaten egg thick miso ramen (tantanmen) and half-fried rice. The set also included salad, almond jelly, and pickled vegetables. The tantanmen looked very similar to the soul food of Kawasaki City, New Tantanmen. I realized it was actually a vinegar and spicy soup, not what I had expected, but it was surprisingly delicious. The noodles were coated in the flavorful soup, and the chili oil gradually added some heat. About halfway through the meal, I started to sweat a bit. The fried rice was moist and tasty as well. After a while, two girls took the place of the solo diner across from me and ordered tantanmen and dumplings. I remembered that this place used to be a dumpling shop, and it made me curious to try the dumplings next time. I finished the tantanmen soup and almond jelly dessert, feeling refreshed, and left to continue my day. Let's tackle the afternoon tasks with gusto and get things done quickly.
