This time, I visited a ramen shop that opened on March 1st in Nakano-Sakaue. The location is a 1-minute walk from Nakano-Sakaue Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and Toei Oedo Line. The opening hours are between 11:00-15:00 and 17:00, with occasional breaks for soup adjustment. On the opening day, I saw on Twitter that they would be open from 18:00, so I went alone at 18:10. The shop was already full with about 25 people waiting in line. It seems to be an independent establishment from a famous ramen shop, attracting many customers. That day, while waiting in line, customers buy meal tickets in order. There were no specific instructions from the staff, so I was a bit confused. The customer in front of me didn't buy a ticket even when it was their turn, so I was a bit puzzled. The menu probably offers only one type of soy sauce tonkotsu ramen, with prices varying based on toppings. The toppings include nori, chashu, ajitama, spinach, and more. I ordered the ramen for 700 yen and waited for about 5 minutes. When my turn came, I handed the ticket to the staff and they asked about my preferences for the noodles and soup, which I chose to be normal. I was seated at the counter, and the service was lively. After a short wait, the ramen was served. The appearance was different from typical family-style ramen, but it was delicious. The flavor was exquisite, slightly on the richer side, but just right for me. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chashu was tender and tasty. The spinach and nori matched well with the soup, and adding chili bean paste and garlic for flavor variation made it even better. It might be the best family-style ramen I've had. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Nakano-Sakaue Station on the Oedo Line, Exit 2, turn right immediately. ⏱ Arrived on Saturday at 11:20 a.m., waited about 25 minutes, but the turnover was fast! It had a hearty feel like a "家系" (ramen style), with a good balance of broth that didn't feel heavy until the end. If someone asks for a good "家系" ramen in Tokyo, I would recommend this place. Also, the staff were super energetic and kind! ♡

On weekdays around 11:30, there are usually about 10 people lining up to buy meal tickets before waiting in line. I chose the special option and preferred it without rice (rice is free). I wish I had added some seaweed to make it more flavorful. This is not a heavy and punchy ramen, but a delicately delicious one. If you have room in your stomach, I recommend trying the rice as well. On the table, there are garlic, doubanjiang (spicy bean paste), of course, soy sauce, mayonnaise, and pickles. (If you ask, they will also bring out ginger). And you can have unlimited rice refills.

I was recommended a delicious ramen restaurant by a friend and visited at 8:00 PM. There were about 15 people waiting in line, and it took about 20 minutes to get inside. The restaurant had many seats, so the turnover was quick. I ordered the top special ramen with firm noodles, extra spinach, flavored egg, and topped with dried seaweed. Rice was free, and the staff was young and energetic, always offering rice refills. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant. The soup was so delicious that I couldn't stop drinking it. The chashu was tender and meaty, and the spinach and dried seaweed complemented the soup well. They had garlic mayonnaise on the table for the rice, which paired perfectly with the chashu and flavored egg in a homemade bowl. It was irresistible.

When the store opened, there was a long line due to the distribution of free topping coupons, and there have been rumors among the locals ever since. After watching the owner's serious preparation process on YouTube, I was impressed by the earnest young man who made and ate three bowls of ramen himself. I decided to visit because I was concerned that it might be too salty. I had given up once due to a long line in the evening, so I visited around 3:30 pm on a weekday. With about 8 people ahead of me, I was able to enter smoothly. Weekdays around 3:30-4:30 pm seem to be a good time to visit. The top selection ramen costs 1000 yen. I also ordered the complimentary rice. It had been a few years since I had eaten a house-made ramen, but it was delicious without being too rich. There are various toppings such as pickled cucumbers, mayonnaise, and garlic-flavored chili oil, making it great for an occasional indulgent meal. Of course, there is a sense of guilt when a middle-aged person eats house-made ramen, so if I were to go for a medium serving, I would definitely want to add vegetable toppings like spinach, Kujonegi, and seaweed. Personally, I would like to choose cabbage and bean sprouts, but perhaps they are being selective due to food waste. The owner was not present, but the young, blond staff members were energetic and cheerful. It seems that in such establishments, having a somewhat athletic atmosphere helps the staff work well together. "Ramen on the rise" was a dreamy and popular queue restaurant.

I visited Menya Taisei, a popular ramen restaurant in Nakano-sakaue. I had always been put off by the long lines during both lunch and dinner hours, but today I decided to brave the 10-person line and visit for dinner. I remembered that this restaurant was a spin-off of Menya Ryu in Ogikubo, which I really like, so I had high expectations. The line moved quickly and I got inside in about 20 minutes. I ordered the Special Ramen for 850 yen, which came with 2 slices of chashu, 5 sheets of nori, a flavored egg, and spinach, all in normal size. The fact that it included a flavored egg was a pleasant surprise. The chashu was not thin, and the rice was cooked just right. The only downside was that they served grated ginger instead of chopped, and I accidentally put too much spicy mayonnaise on my rice. I also forgot to sprinkle sesame seeds. The ramen itself was good, with a balanced flavor of chicken oil and soy sauce. The noodles were soft but of good quality. I noticed that families with small children were also enjoying their meals at the counter, which was heartwarming. Overall, it was a good ramen experience, different from the direct lineage but still enjoyable. Menya Taisei has established a solid reputation in Nakano-sakaue and will continue to be a reliable choice in the future.

I drank until morning and woke up after 2pm. I took a shower and left the house around 4pm. This place is so great for having all-day service. Although a regular ramen would be enough, I always add extra toppings here because the default price is only ¥700 and rice is free. Some people have complained about being charged ¥100 for extra pork fat that wasn't on the menu, but they don't deserve to eat ramen. This time, I ordered the Mie Prefecture black seaweed. The seaweed is in small pieces and absorbs the soup well due to being dry. When eaten with rice, it's a perfect match. It's surprising to see so many people eating at 4pm. I thought it would be less crowded. This place is too popular.

This is a ramen restaurant located in the outskirts of the Tokyo metropolitan area that personally ranks in my top 3. Please note that I cannot rank the top 3 in order as I am not a professional. The soup is so good that you'll want to drink every last drop, the noodles are easy to eat, and they provide a generous serving of rice as well. It's a place I would like to visit again at least once a month due to its proximity.

It has been 5 months since my last visit, but this was my second time here. I ordered the top selection ramen for 1,000 yen and asked for extra noodles. Compared to last time, the broth seemed more robust and the overall taste was even better. It's impressive that they offer free rice as well, considering the location of the shop.

The ramen from this restaurant had a strong chicken flavor that was really delicious. The unique taste, along with the tasty chashu, made me want to try pouring the mayonnaise-like sauce over rice. I tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious, so I think this is a great place with good soup, noodles, and chashu.

Visited the popular Taisho ramen restaurant in Nakano Sakagami for the first time. Known for their chicken and soy sauce based ramen, I was excited to see what it would be like. Arrived at 10:45 am on a Sunday to find a line of 14 people ahead of me. Just missed getting in for the first seating, but it seems like there were close to 30 people waiting when the restaurant opened. Impressive! However, the turnover was quick, and by around 11:20 am, I was able to be seated and got my ramen just 5 minutes later. I ordered the Special Ramen for 850 yen (rice was free), which came with chashu, spinach, seaweed, and the classic toppings of the house, plus an extra seasoned egg. A great deal for 850 yen. When I tasted the soup, it had that familiar house style flavor. But it was also refreshing and incredibly delicious! It had a slightly strong soy sauce taste, but not overly salty, and you could really taste the chicken and soy sauce combination. The noodles were slightly firmer than at other places even when ordered as normal, but they still had a good balance with the soup and a nice chewy texture. The chashu was tender without being too rare, which is a matter of personal preference. The seasoned egg and spinach were also delicious without any shortcuts taken. I quickly finished the first serving of rice along with the noodles and had a refill. I ended by adding rice to the soup and finishing it all. Overall, the service was excellent, the restaurant was spacious and bright without the typical house style atmosphere, making it a wonderful place. It's no surprise that there were many female customers, and I would definitely want to come back with my wife or daughter. Thank you for the meal!

Nakano Sakagami is not a regular spot for me as a Marunouchi Line user, but I had the opportunity to visit recently due to some errands and the buzz around a new branch of a popular ramen shop. I love ramen, especially tonkotsu ramen, but lately I've been finding tonkotsu-based broths too heavy for my taste. So, the concept of "chicken and soy sauce" in the ramen at this place intrigued me. I arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday and saw about 20 people waiting in line, showing how popular the place is. I bought my meal ticket at the front of the shop and joined the line. I ordered the Special Ramen in large size and was happy to see that rice was all-you-can-eat, a nice bonus! While waiting in line, a staff member came to collect my ticket and asked for my preferences. I went with the usual "firm noodles, extra toppings" and ordered a regular size of rice. After a short wait, I was seated and served the rice first. I topped it with the recommended mayonnaise and plenty of pickled cucumbers. After about 5 minutes, my ramen arrived. I tried the broth first and was immediately impressed! It truly was a chicken and soy sauce-based ramen! It had a punchy flavor but also a refined chicken broth taste that filled my mouth. This depth of flavor and punchiness must come from the "Awaodori chicken" from Tokushima Prefecture. The chashu was flavorful and the way it was sliced added to its taste. I finished my rice and drank up the soup, feeling completely satisfied! It's not often you come across a restaurant that really delivers on its concept like this one does. It's amazing how the food can make you understand and feel what the restaurant is all about. Thank you for the delicious meal! I will definitely be back!

I arrived around 12:00 on Saturday. It has become very crowded since being introduced by a certain ramen YouTuber, so it was my first visit in a while. When I arrived, there were about 15 people in line, but when I left, there were about 25 people in line. I have been here many times, but the chicken flavor is strong, so I find it most delicious with extra chicken oil and no garlic. I also recommend adding extra roasted seaweed as a topping. Personally, I think it is one of the most delicious ramen in the style of home-cooked ramen.

After finishing my errands in Nakano-Sakaue, I visited a ramen shop that I had been curious about for a while. Today, I ordered the special ramen for 850 yen. I usually have mixed feelings about tonkotsu ramen, but I found the ramen here to be delicious! Even though it's tonkotsu-based, the chicken broth really stood out and I could easily slurp it all up. It was so tasty that I definitely want to visit again!

Taisho Ramen Shop Location: 1-minute walk from Nakano-Sakaue Station Exit 2, open from 11:00 to 20:00, 14 counter seats, closed on days as per official Twitter. Purchase a food ticket before lining up. Order Menu: Special Ramen (Regular Size) Difference between Special and Regular: Additional Chashu and Corn Char Siu (+150 yen). Regular size is 1,000 yen with free rice. The staff is energetic and provides great customer service. Today, I ordered a Regular size as last time I found the portion to be lacking. The rice was served first with rice sauce and Q-chan on the table. Shortly after, the Special Ramen was served. The soup is delicious with a good balance of pork and chicken, with a strong chicken flavor. The combination of the sauce and soup is outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal with a large serving of rice. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There was always a long line so I didn't go often (I usually don't line up with more than 5 people), but on this day, there were only 3 people waiting so I decided to go for it. I waited for about 5 minutes, got seated, and my food arrived in about 10 minutes. Oh my, this is overwhelmingly delicious! The broth is just irresistible! This is truly a one-of-a-kind deliciousness.

House-style ramen is characterized by its rich pork bone soy sauce soup and chewy thick noodles, receiving support from ramen enthusiasts all over Japan. In particular, "Yoshimuraya" in Yokohama, the birthplace of house-style ramen, has become a major player in the ramen world due to its deliciousness. Among house-style ramen, "Atsugiya" is highly praised, with comments like "It was a shock when I first tried it," "A classic direct lineage that doesn't rely on pork bone," and "The chashu is the most delicious in the house-style." When choosing a delicious house-style ramen shop, some points to consider include whether the pork bone aroma drifts outside the shop, the freshness of the garlic on the table, if the kitchen is visible, if the staff and atmosphere are lively, if the rice is delicious, and if they use Sakaimeen noodles. Based on this information, you can understand the deliciousness and high praise of house-style ramen. House-style ramen's unique flavor and deep taste from carefully selected ingredients make it irresistible once you try it.

I often visit this restaurant, but there is always a long line! The heat is unbearable, so I have had to give up in front of the store several times... That's how good this place is. I usually go on weekdays when there are fewer people lining up, as weekends tend to be crowded. When you enter the store, there is a sense of cleanliness and the staff are energetic, making it a pleasant experience. The ramen, despite being a house specialty, is not overpowering and is delicious. It has a refined taste that makes the ramen shine. When I leave, I always say "thank you for the meal," and the owner always looks at me and loudly says "Thank you very much!" It is a wonderful place that fills both my stomach and heart. ☺️

This was my first visit based on SUSURU's recommendation. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the pot where they cook the noodles. Maybe they purposely adjusted the height of the counter so it's not visible? The taste was well-balanced and would probably appeal to a wide range of people, but those who prefer a sharper flavor in their ramen might find it lacking. I ordered the special ramen with Hoshisaki wakame topping, which was really delicious. I arrived at 11:15 and there were 18 people ahead of me, but I was able to get in after a 30-minute wait, so the turnover seems good. The owner seemed very passionate, and the rest of the staff provided good service too. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I was drinking in Nishi-Ogikubo and decided to finish the night at a newly opened ramen shop in Sakagami. Unfortunately, it was closed for the day. So, I had no choice but to come here. Even at night, there was still a line. Normally, I don't add toppings, but this place offers a default ramen for ¥750, with free rice on top of that, which is incredibly generous. I want my favorite shops to last, so I added toppings last time as a form of support, but it did feel a bit unnecessary. This time, I bought black oolong tea from the shop's vending machine. It's a bit pricey, but good for my stomach. As usual, I ordered with extra oil. This was my first time coming at night, and the broth seemed more simmered compared to during lunchtime, resulting in a rich and flavorful soup. It might have been the best soup I've ever had here. Even though I ordered less rice this time, I couldn't resist getting a refill. This ramen shop has definitely become my current favorite.

I visited the restaurant around 13:00 on Sunday. There were about 25 people waiting. I was able to enter the restaurant in about 40 minutes. Fast! When I left the restaurant, there was still a similar line outside. It's really popular. I had the Special Ramen (medium size) for 1100 yen with free rice. I like my noodles firm, the flavor light, and the oil heavy. The soup has a lot of emulsified layers and is mild but not heavy, with delicious chicken oil. The saltiness is just right and very tasty. The noodles are medium-thick, flat noodles from Sakai Seimen, consistently delicious. The chashu and korochaa were tender and moist. The smoky flavor is good and adds a nice touch to the soup. The seaweed flavor was also good. The spinach was fresh. I added grated garlic and grated ginger, which the staff provided upon request, and it was delicious without compromising the original flavor. In addition to the condiments on the table, there was spicy pickled mustard greens and a mayo sauce, which was a nice touch. The spicy pickled mustard greens had a good texture and a strong spicy flavor, which was delicious.
