It had been 3 years since my last visit. I hadn't visited quite often. I went for lunch and had the special soba topped with squid tempura. The price was 1450 yen. The special includes meatball soba, shrimp, and squid okonomiyaki. It wasn't too crowded even though it was lunchtime. In Hiroshima, there would usually be a long line... During lunchtime, they quickly spread out the dough, sprinkle bonito flakes, and top it with cabbage. When a customer orders, they add toppings as needed. They use fresh noodles from Isono Seimen for the soba. The seafood tastes a bit raw, but it becomes quite tough when cooked, so it's not the best. The cabbage is sweet and delicious. The soba has a nice crispy texture and is tasty. It's been a while since I sat at the counter here, but food tastes better when eaten straight from the hot plate.

They brought us Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, which was simple but filling. Even just that was enough to satisfy our hunger. The sweet sauce from the west and the spicy sauce for flavor variation were both good. The three of us ordered drinks and special okonomiyaki each, which came to about 6,000 yen in total, making it a great value. We will definitely come back.

I was planning to go to Yurakucho for lunch on a Monday during a long weekend, and I wanted to eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, so I decided to visit Micchan. I arrived around 2 pm and there were only about 3 groups ahead of me, so I was seated quickly. I ordered the Deluxe Special, Kouno Salt Okonomiyaki, and Oyster Soy Butter Yaki. The Deluxe Special is the most popular menu item with toppings such as meatballs, shrimp, squid, squid tempura, rice cake, and green onions. The noodles were crispy and had a true Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki taste. I noticed that some customers who arrived later ordered their noodles to be cooked more thoroughly, so I would like to try that next time. The Kouno Salt Okonomiyaki had a bit of a chewy texture and the meat was flavorful, which I enjoyed. The Oyster Soy Butter Yaki was a classic delicious dish! I would consider Micchan as one of the options when I want to eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki again. Thank you for the meal!

Deluxe Special for 1780 yen. Topping cheese for 200 yen. It's a shame to eat it on a plate. Maybe because it's lunch. The cheese doesn't stretch like mochi. The noodles are crispy. I think Chinese noodles would be better in Hiroshima. There is not enough vegetables, so it feels lacking. I want more vegetables added.

It was Monday but the restaurant was fully booked! Reservations are only for set courses, which include 5-6 dishes and you can choose from two types of okonomiyaki, so it's quite a good deal. All the dishes were delicious, but the attitude and service of the staff were not good. They all seemed busy and had a brusque attitude. It's a shame.

For Thursday lunch, I went to a certain B restaurant the day before, where one of my three favorite idols is from Hiroshima. We were talking about it and suddenly I felt like eating Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, so I visited "Micchan Sohonten Shinbashi" in Shinbashi. This place is one of the four main branches of Hiroshima okonomiyaki, and it's the Tokyo branch of one of the original Hiroshima okonomiyaki shops. The main store in Hiroshima was selected as one of the top 100 okonomiyaki restaurants in 2018 and 2019. I arrived at 11:25, sixth in line, and they opened at 11:30. We were seated at a table and ordered the "Deluxe Special" with a bottle of Super Dry beer. The beer arrived first, and it was refreshing. The okonomiyaki was ready in about 10 minutes. It was served on a plate, which was a bit disappointing as I was hoping to eat it directly from the hot plate. The taste was good, better than the main store, with crispy noodles. I thought it would come with green onions as shown in the menu photo, but it turns out you have to add them as a topping. Overall, it was delicious, but not being able to eat it from the hot plate was a letdown. Next time, I want to try the Tokyo branch of Yasho, even though it's a bit far. Thank you for the meal!

A famous okonomiyaki restaurant from Hiroshima in Shinbashi. I used to go there occasionally, but I've been avoiding it since they changed to only course reservations online. I thought it would be empty in Tokyo during Obon, so I visited around 7:30 pm without a reservation. Shinbashi station area was not crowded, but this place was packed. I waited for about 15 minutes and sat at the counter. It's exciting to watch the cooking right in front of you, and it's helpful to see what other customers are ordering. I ordered bean sprout namul, thinly sliced beef with grated ponzu sauce, grilled oysters in foil with salt koji, pickles, and okonomiyaki with mochi and green onions on top. The bean sprout namul has a good sesame oil flavor. The thinly sliced beef is Hiroshima's specialty, and although the meat is a bit firm, it has a nice texture being thinly sliced. It goes well with ponzu sauce. The grilled oysters in foil with salt koji are light and the oysters are plump. The pickles provide a nice sourness as a palate cleanser. The main okonomiyaki is like Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki in Tokyo, with plenty of vegetables so it's impossible to go wrong. I want to come back again, but now I know it's crowded, so I might make a reservation next time. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Michan on my way back from a day trip. I was craving okonomiyaki, so I decided to try this place that had caught my eye. I ordered the Nikudama Udon and the Crispy Jakonegi. I enjoy both Hiroshima-style and Kansai-style okonomiyaki. When in Hiroshima, I prefer udon over soba for a more satisfying meal. The Jakonegi can be eaten on its own or used as a topping, so I recommend trying it.

Reservation for 5 people at 8:30 PM on Saturday. Used for a reunion after 4 years with 4 friends from America. When ordering, the staff came to the table without bringing water or wet towels. When asked for a wet towel, a thin paper towel was provided instead. This was a surprise as I had never been given a paper towel at an okonomiyaki or teppanyaki restaurant before. The food was served without heating the teppan. Dishes like potato salad with cheese sauce, gansu, tonpeiyaki, and butter sautéed mushrooms were placed on the cold teppan, causing them to quickly cool down. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was sloppy and there was a lack of gratitude towards the customers. The taste of the food was average at best. The lack of proper hospitality made the reunion with my friends after 4 years a disappointing experience. It was not a pleasant dining experience and I would not recommend this okonomiyaki restaurant to others.

I'm sorry there is no photo of okonomiyaki. I love Mitchan! Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is delicious, and there are many trendy menu items in Hiroshima's Mitchan! The staff is also lovely and smiling. However, the counter is very hot, so be careful in the summer. Also, this may vary from person to person, but some people may feel very uncomfortable when the staff touch raw meat and then touch other things without washing or wiping their hands, or when they continue cooking with a spatula that has touched half-eaten food, or when they place the order paper on top of the food. If you are concerned, it might be better not to sit at the counter.

On weekends when I have a day off work, I want to sleep in until noon! As a result, I always end up searching for brunch (drinking) places. It's hot outside, so I prefer to eat indoors in a relaxed atmosphere. While searching, I found a restaurant called "Okonomiyaki Micchan Main Store" that serves all day long! It's a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki restaurant with a great selection of appetizers as well. The menu even has photos, making it easy to choose! You don't have to cook it yourself, which is the best part! I ordered enthusiastically: - Beef tendon with grated ponzu sauce (single) ¥1080 - Crispy dried fish and green onion salad ¥580 - Hiroshima vegetables ¥400 - Grilled squid with salt ¥780 - Soft bone with black pepper ¥750 - Pork kimchi ¥800 - Special okonomiyaki ¥1480 Drinks: - Draft beer ¥600 - Hiroshima citrus sour ¥680 Now, let's taste it! Overall, it's delicious! The squid is tender, and the beef tendon with ponzu sauce, daikon radish, and green onion is refreshing. The soft bone dish has plenty of meat attached! Yummy! Even though I'm already full, I still want to eat okonomiyaki! Let's have it with soba noodles! It's filled with pork, shrimp, and squid. Thanks to the cabbage, it's surprisingly light and before I know it, I've finished it! Ahh, my stomach is full and satisfied! It was delicious and made me happy! The seating arrangement was spacious and the atmosphere was great. I'll definitely go back again!

I visited an okonomiyaki restaurant in Shinbashi Station. It was their first store in Tokyo, so I decided to try it out. I ordered a course menu which started with a Caesar salad cooked on a hot plate, followed by garlic shrimp, and ended with okonomiyaki. I went with my colleagues so I'm not sure about the prices, but everything was delicious. My favorite was the garlic shrimp! They also had the option to choose oysters, so I'll definitely try that next time. I will definitely go back. Shinbashi on a Friday felt lively and bustling, like it used to be.

Visited the restaurant at 1:21 PM on a holiday with 2 people. Waited for about 3 minutes after getting off the elevator, then took a seat at the counter. Ordered a bottle of red Bordeaux wine, Hiroshima vegetables, Hiroshima oysters, garlic sprouts with grated daikon and ponzu, meat, and eggs. The Hiroshima vegetables were delicious. Unlike other restaurants in Tokyo, it had an authentic taste. The wine paired well with the okonomiyaki.

My partner watched a report on Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki featuring the gourmet Dayumura, and ended up talking like a Hiroshima okonomiyaki shop to Michan. When Hiroshima chain restaurants come to Tokyo, they may not be very tasty and the prices may be high, which is a concern due to the harsh reviews on Google and Tabelog. Well, if it's bad, it's bad, so we went to try it out. The mixed shrimp and meat double shrimp and pork were frozen. No seasoning, just sauce. However, the crispy texture of the noodles was good, and the sauce was mild, leaving room for the eater to decide. The ingredients lacked flavor, so I added mayonnaise and finished it. If the ingredients were better, it might be even more delicious.

Visiting with colleagues for a drinking party^_^ Everything tastes delicious! The butter-grilled oysters and grilled cow's stomach are amazing! The oysters are big in size too. The okonomiyaki is consistently tasty. The potato salad has a unique appearance but it's delicious. Thank you for the meal (^。^)

On a holiday, we went to "Okonomiyaki Omicchan Sohoneten" in Shinbashi. My roommate, who had never tried Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki before, expressed interest after watching a special feature on Matsujinari. So, we decided to go and try it out. We ordered the Special okonomiyaki with meatballs, squid, and shrimp, as well as the "Negiyaki" and "Oyster Butter Yaki," along with some beer. We enjoyed a leisurely lunchtime drink as a couple. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki was a hit, with a crispy yet chewy texture that pleased my roommate. At the next table, there was an elderly couple (not husband and wife) devouring seven dishes on the teppan at an incredible speed. What caught our attention even more was their conversation... "I have 50 million yen in my bankbook right now. I made 900,000 yen yesterday," the woman said, showing the bankbook to the man. We couldn't help but wonder what kind of people they were. Could they possibly be the masterminds behind the popular dark web market?

In 2019, the long-established original "Okonomiyaki Micchan Main Store," which has been in business for over 70 years in Hiroshima, opened its first store in Tokyo. Hiroshima's soul food, okonomiyaki, can now be enjoyed in Tokyo. I visited for lunch just before 12:30 pm and easily got a table. The lunch menu includes okonomiyaki and yakisoba. The okonomiyaki is based on "Nikutama" with additional toppings, and you can also add extra toppings of your choice. The yakisoba comes in four varieties, and you can add extra toppings here as well. The "Nikutama Mochi-iri" costs 1,050 yen (tax included) and is served in just over 10 minutes. The thin batter is filled with plenty of cabbage, fried noodles, egg, and other toppings, creating a delicious Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. It is topped with plenty of original sauce and seaweed. You can add mayonnaise from the table, cut it into bite-sized pieces with a spatula, and enjoy it hot and delicious. The noodles are crispy on the outside and the cabbage is sweet and moist, creating a wonderful harmony of flavors. The addition of pork and mochi adds to the volume. The Red Fire Sauce on the table not only adds spiciness but also enhances the flavor. Enjoying small flavor changes while eating, I was completely satisfied with the okonomiyaki.

Located a 3-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station (Ueno exit), this restaurant has counter and table seating. I ordered the "nikutama" for 900 yen, which had a nice sweetness from the cabbage and bean sprouts. The amount of pork was just right, and I left feeling very full. By default, it comes without mayonnaise. When it comes to okonomiyaki in the Shinbashi area, I prefer the one from Sonia with lots of seaweed.

Special for 1350 yen plus green onions for 200 yen were ordered. The food came out, but the teppan at the table was not warm at all, so the food quickly became cold and not tasty. When trying to turn on the heat, the staff strangely stopped me, saying it was already warm. The meal didn't fill me up much, so I ordered the Hormone Miso Yakisoba for 1280 yen (forgot to take a photo). However, I was surprised by the small portion of hormone (only 3 pieces), the overpowering miso flavor, and the fact that the noodles were medium-thick Chinese noodles. Considering the poor value for money, I don't think I will go there again.

I heard that the sauce at the Otafuku Sauce direct store is delicious, so I visited. I ordered the pork and egg bowl for 900 yen and a soft drink for 100 yen for lunch. I was happy that it only cost 1000 yen including tax. The staff made it at the counter, so I had to wait a bit, but the sauce was rich and the portion was generous! It was delicious. The restaurant was also crowded with customers. Even if you are dining alone, there are counter seats, making it easy to enter.

That being said, the drinking party itself was on Saturday afternoon, and we entered the restaurant at 3pm. Our regular customer ordered various dishes for us. The okonomiyaki, appetizers, everything was delicious. We ordered two bottles of wine, so it ended up being a bit expensive, but normally you can get full for around 3000 yen. I would like to visit again when I'm sober next time.
