Before the end of summer, I couldn't resist ordering my favorite cheese rolls every time. I forgot to take a photo, but I enjoyed them with a cold beer. The chilled Chinese noodles were just the right firmness for me. The cost-performance ratio is great, and the portion size is satisfying. We shared it between two people.

JR Tamachi Station Mita Exit (West Exit) is a 3-minute walk away, just across the First Keihin (National Route 15). The restaurant is divided into 1F and 2F, with counter seats on 1F and table seats on 2F. Due to its location, there are often salarymen stopping by for a drink on their way home late at night. Orders are placed using tablet devices provided at each seat or table. Miso Ramen (August 28, 2028): The soup has a rich miso flavor with added vegetable umami. The noodles are the familiar yellow noodles from Hidakaya, cooked slightly softer. They have a slight twist, enhancing the sensation of slurping the noodles. The toppings include plenty of bean sprouts, leeks, carrots, and stir-fried pork. The taste, portion size, and price are all very satisfying for the wallet of the common people. Thank you for the meal. History: September 2, 2023: Added 5 photos and a new review I have a blog at https://ameblo.jp/ameblo-bob22/entry-12818756053.html

After work, I stopped by a bar for a quick drink before heading to the esthetic salon. Even though I was going for a face treatment, I couldn't resist having two highballs and some grilled chicken with green onions. I just really wanted to drink. The seating was separate like at Ichiran, so I didn't have to worry about people staring at me, and I could easily order using the touch panel without needing to call a server. It's cheap and convenient for a quick drink, highly recommend. I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I had to stay late at the office, so I decided to have a casual meal at a Chinese restaurant near the office, which is always a safe choice. I ordered the classic liver and leek stir-fry with beer, dumplings, fried rice, and finished with a highball. However, I only took a photo of the liver and leek dish. This restaurant is convenient and good.

Hidakaya, a salaryman's cafeteria, is always packed during lunchtime. It offers affordable prices and is popular among everyone. The menu consists of Chinese cuisine, all of which are delicious. It's a great place to order a couple of dishes and enjoy a beer in the evening. It's no wonder they're thriving. I had the classic leek and liver stir-fry set meal that day, which helped me have a productive afternoon. Thank you for the meal.

The best cost performance! I always end up going alone. Price per person is around 700 yen (individual items start from 200 yen). Everyone knows about Hidakaya✨️ It's just so incredibly cheap, right? I often order the half ramen & half fried rice & gyoza (3 pieces) set because it's cheaper than the ramen & fried rice set! The beer is always ice cold and perfect! Thank you always! "(◍ ´꒳` ◍)

The price is reasonable, and the taste is light, which I like. The green onions are served separately, which I think is a thoughtful touch. It's nice because you can choose whether to add them or not, and it also helps speed up the service. The flavor is a standard light taste, perfect for days when you don't want anything too adventurous. Good portion size and cost performance at Hidakaya. I will definitely visit again.

There was a Hidakaya restaurant right in front of Tamachi Station! Hidakaya is a casual and affordable Chinese restaurant. When I entered, I noticed that there were mostly men around... maybe it's not so welcoming for women? All orders were made through a touch panel, which was convenient. I ordered the classic ramen, fried rice, and gyoza. The food arrived in about 7-8 minutes. It was consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular weekday, around 11 am, it was still a bit too early for lunchtime, so there were no open restaurants in the area. I ended up going to the same place two days in a row. I ordered the vegetable-packed Tanmen (520 yen). Even at this time, the first floor seating was full, but there was only one staff member handling everything. Due to the low prices, it was understandable, but I felt sorry for them. You usually order through a touch panel, but at this time, many older customers couldn't use it. Surprisingly, even though it was a weekday morning, many people were drinking alcohol. The staff seemed overwhelmed. Since there was only one person handling the orders, the bell signaling when the food was ready was constantly ringing, which was a bit distracting. The food arrived in about 5 minutes - it was loaded with vegetables and piping hot, which was nice. As for the taste, I'm not used to eating Tanmen, so I couldn't quite figure out the flavor. Was it salty? I'm not sure. It was the most popular menu item, but I couldn't really grasp the taste. I ended up adding black pepper, then chili oil, soy sauce, vinegar, trying to change the flavor, but it still felt unclear. Despite not fully understanding the taste, it was nice to get a vegetable-packed meal for such a low price. It's definitely better than instant ramen or convenience store noodles.

I visited this neighborhood for the first time on a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm, as there are limited stores open on weekends. It suddenly got cold with the wind blowing, so I ordered the limited-time Chige Miso Ramen and Gyoza set (850 yen). Even though I only wanted 2-3 pieces of gyoza, the set came with 5 pieces, which was a pleasant surprise. After a 5-minute wait, the piping hot Chige Miso Ramen was served, and it was so hot that I almost burned myself. Surprisingly, it was quite delicious, although the gyoza was not something I would order again. The noodles here suited my taste. The restaurant is a valuable find as it is open on both weekends and weekdays, and the cost performance is good. The customers seemed to be mostly regulars. I look forward to trying the vegetable-packed Tanmen or Leek and Liver ramen next time.

Located in Minato-ku, Shiba 5-chome. Had lunch at "Hidakaya Tamachi Nishiguchi Store" facing the JR Tamachi Station West Exit (Mita Exit) rotary. It was my first visit to Hidakaya, as I had avoided it assuming that the low prices meant low quality. However, I happened to get a coupon and decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Chuka Soba" for 390 yen and added a "Seasoned Egg" for 50 yen with the half-price coupon. Both prices are tax-included. The Chuka Soba was a nostalgic Tokyo-style ramen with a soup made from chicken bones, kombu, bonito flakes, and soy sauce. The pre-packaged noodles had a decent taste, and the plentiful pork slices added a nice touch. The pork felt a bit cheap, likely made in a central kitchen, but considering the price, I had no complaints. The seaweed and chopped green onions were served in decent amounts, and the overall flavor was well balanced by the use of chemical seasonings. It would have been even better with some spinach, but unfortunately, it wasn't on the topping menu. For this price, the taste was surprisingly good. I had underestimated it. My apologies.

I always take the bus from Tamachi Station to Shibuya Station, and I found a menu with "Omiya Tantanmen" at a restaurant called "Hidaka-ya". I was curious about what kind of Tantanmen with "Omiya" in the name, so I decided to go in. It was around 7:00 PM on a weekday when I got off the bus at the last stop at Tamachi Station. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was guided to sanitize my hands and then choose a seat. Each table had plastic dividers between them. The ordering system was done through a touch panel. It had been a while since I last visited, and I noticed that there were personal hand sanitizers available, probably because of the touch panel ordering system. I ordered the "Omiya Tantanmen (spicy)" for 650 yen. I chose the spicy option, but it wasn't too spicy for me. There was a sauce that looked spicy next to the garnished green onions, so I mixed it in, but the spiciness didn't change much. The taste was interesting, with seasoned egg, garlic chives, and a spiciness similar to Miyazaki Prefecture's "spicy noodles". However, it was much more flavorful than the spicy noodles I've tried in the Kanto region. Although it was labeled as Tantanmen, it tasted more like spicy noodles and was very delicious. I enjoyed it for a while and then added more chili oil and vinegar for a different taste. It became to my liking, and I finished it all. When I paid, I asked about the origin of the name that caught my interest. I was told that it was named "Omiya Tantanmen" because it was developed at the headquarters in Omiya City, Saitama Prefecture. The mystery was solved. Thank you for the delicious ramen. Until next time, I am curious about trying the basil gyoza. Thank you for the meal.

At Hidakaya in Tamachi, I had a glass of Hoppy. I completely forgot that the area is now under stricter COVID-19 measures, and when I realized it at the office, it was already 6:20 pm. Oh, I remembered that alcohol sales are now prohibited after 7:00 pm, so I quickly closed up shop. On my way home, I stopped by Yoshinoya in Hamamatsucho thinking I could have a drink, but it seems they stopped serving alcohol, and Hoppy was no longer on the menu. If there's no Hoppy, I'll just head home... But then I remembered that Hidakaya still serves Hoppy, so I went back in just in time at 6:50 pm. Ordered a Hoppy set and also two glasses of "naka". I need to be more mindful starting tomorrow.

I left work late and decided to have dinner at Hidakaya near Tamachi Station. It was around 8pm on a weekday and the restaurant was almost full, but luckily a seat opened up at the counter as soon as I arrived. I ordered two highballs (White Horse whiskey) for 290 yen each, a Bakudan stir-fry for 520 yen, and 3 gyoza for 130 yen. The highballs had less ice as per my request, and the Bakudan stir-fry was a tasty mix of meat and vegetables with a spicy kick. I enjoyed adding chili oil and vinegar towards the end to change up the flavors. The gyoza were also delicious with a generous amount of vegetables. Interestingly, a fellow salaryman at the table next to me ordered the exact same items. It was a pleasant dining experience with good food. Thank you and I look forward to trying the ramen next time.

Just outside of Sannomiya Station, there is a well-known chain restaurant called Hidakaya. I left work late and didn't have dinner, so I took a taxi home and decided to stop by here, as they were still open past 1 am. Following the city's request, they were not serving alcohol at this time, but a few customers were enjoying their noodles. I ordered the Vegetable-packed Tanmen with Gyoza (730 yen). [Tanmen] The soup had a rich flavor, probably a pork bone-based salt broth, with slightly flat noodles and plenty of stir-fried vegetables as the menu suggests. It was delicious. It tasted great even with chili oil, vinegar, or pepper added, changing the flavor nicely. [Gyoza] The gyoza were relatively small, with a stronger vegetable taste from cabbage than meat. These were just your typical frozen gyoza. I appreciated the convenience of chain restaurants open late. Thank you for the meal.

Vegetable-packed Tanmen with Gyoza: 730 yen. Reliable and consistent quality at Hidakaya! The soup was scorching hot and filled with plenty of vegetables. The only downside was that the noodles were a bit soft. The gyoza was delicious, crispy on the outside. The service was handled by a Southeast Asian female staff member who was polite and attentive.

Date: March 18, 2020 (Wednesday), sunny weather. First visit. Entered at 4:29 PM. 5 customers before, 6 customers after. Ordered "Vegetable-packed Tanmen + Gyoza" for 730 yen. Visited from Ikoma-ken (closed) -> Ichiban (closed) -> this shop. I entered the shop and sat at an empty counter seat. I was hungry, so I verbally ordered "Vegetable-packed Tanmen + Gyoza". The service was handled by a Southeast Asian female staff member efficiently. On the table, there was soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and S&B black pepper (powder). The Tanmen and Gyoza were served on a tray in about 5 minutes. The Tanmen had glossy flat noodles with a soft texture, which I personally prefer firmer. The ingredients included pork, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, and leeks. The vegetables and meat seemed to be stir-fried before being combined with the soup. The pork belly was tender and juicy, while the cabbage was cooked just right and had a pleasant sweetness. The Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts were crunchy, and the carrots were thinly sliced with a subtle flavor. The soup was a salty, cloudy broth served at a very high temperature. It had a calculated taste similar to a central kitchen style, which was not bad at all. The soup had a slightly high salt content and a generous amount of oil from stir-frying the ingredients, giving it a fragrant aroma. I added black pepper from the table halfway through, which complemented the dish well. I finished all the noodles and ingredients but left about 30% of the soup. The Gyoza had a crispy, lightly-oiled exterior and was filled with a mixture of pork, cabbage, and leeks that were well-seasoned. I enjoyed them with vinegar and pepper. Overall, it was a reliable and satisfying meal at Nichi Nichi Ya. The Tanmen had a central kitchen-style soup, but the piping hot temperature was a plus. I would like to try it with firmer noodles next time. The Gyoza had a light oil content and was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Located right next to the entrance of Toei Mita Line, I entered the restaurant before taking the subway. Without looking at the menu, I ordered the vegetable tanmen in large size. It was around 13:30, slightly past lunch time, and I received my order in less than 10 minutes after being seated. The vegetables were cooked just right, maybe a bit firmer would be better. The amount of vegetables seemed more than other places. The noodles had a slightly chewy texture, nothing too special. The soup tasted like the tanmen at Hidakaya, but it was a bit lighter compared to the one at the Shinjuku restaurant I usually go to. I wished it had a bit more saltiness, so I added some pepper and chili oil to enhance the flavor and finished my meal. Even though chain restaurants may have slight variations in taste depending on the location, I would like to try it at other branches as well.

Limited-time gourmet "Omiya Tantanmen" is 40% off with the PayPay campaign discount‼️ 650 yen → 390 yen (*≧∀≦*) Tantanmen where ingredients like leeks, onions, and pickled vegetables are cooked with egg, kind of like a spicy miso ramen. The soup has a strong garlic aroma and a spicy taste that makes it quite appetizing. By the way, why Omiya? σ(^_^;) According to the official website of Hidakaya↓ ↓ ↓ "Named Omiya Tantanmen to be originated from Omiya, the birthplace of Hidakaya, and to be rooted in the hearts of customers who love it." *Please note that there may be discrepancies in the data upload timing and visit date. Thank you.
