I stayed at Esperia Inn, within walking distance from Ningyocho, for one night with breakfast included. The breakfast was a buffet with a mix of Japanese and Western dishes for 1,200 yen including tax. They offer a variety of dishes such as meat, fish, and soup that change daily, catering to guests staying multiple nights. The breakfast included a salad bar with toppings like lotus root chips, simmered vegetables, natto, rolled omelette, grilled mackerel, scrambled eggs, sausages, stir-fried pork and vegetables, Fukagawa-style rice bowl, mixed fruits, plain yogurt with strawberry jam and stewed apples. The Fukagawa-style rice bowl was a bit too peppery, but overall, the breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. They also provided milk and a selection of hot teas, which was convenient. The hotel has a good cost performance, and even though they open at 7 am, there were few customers during the weekday mornings, creating a quiet atmosphere. At check-in, they offer a 100 yen coin for the lobby vending machine, where I got a matcha latte. The lobby was simple, without newspapers or magazines.
