I went for lunchtime on a regular day. The longer lunchtime compared to others is appreciated! The sukiyaki sauce seems to use miso, giving it a subtle sweetness of miso without being too heavy, making it a delicious sukiyaki. I ordered the lean meat for 3000 yen, while my companion ordered the marbled meat for 3500 yen. I tried a bite of the marbled meat, and it seemed more delicious. Conversely, my companion thought the lean meat was better. Maybe they're both delicious haha. I was a bit happy to get cold green tea at the beginning and warm hojicha tea after the meal.

On September 6, 2023, I visited a restaurant in Tokyo Station for lunch, as per the request for sukiyaki. I chose this place because it seemed easy to access even with a baby stroller. I made a reservation and tried sukiyaki with miso sauce for the first time. I was a bit anxious, but the taste of the meat was so delicious that I didn't mind at all. The meat, especially the Yonezawa beef, was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. Although it was a bit pricey at 3,000 yen, it could be a nice treat for a special occasion.

I went to dinner with my foreign friends. We had sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, each in individual pots. Tonight, we chose the sukiyaki course. It included appetizers, meat sushi, beef sukiyaki, and dessert. We could choose between rice and udon at the end. They even accommodated our request for both. The sukiyaki made with miso-based sauce and Yonezawa beef was very delicious.

I chose the popular No. 1 lean meat, but I got seconds with shoulder loin, which had just the right amount of fat and was incredibly tender and delicious! It was a course meal, but I couldn't resist ordering the garlic fried rice, which was also delicious! I want to try their lunch menu next time!

However, for 800 yen, I think it's a bit much. The family next to me wanted to add a steak to their set meal, but the server said, "I'll check with the kitchen, but I'm not sure if it's possible." Then, I could hear the server asking in the kitchen if a steak could be added as a standalone dish. It seemed like it was approved, but in the end, the family decided not to add it. It's a shame to have such good food go to waste after hearing that exchange.

I received a reward of Yonezawa beef shoulder loin sukiyaki course for a year. It included chilled soup, three kinds of appetizers, sushi, and sukiyaki! The meat was tender and paired well with the sweet miso. This time I chose rice, but maybe udon noodles with the meat and vegetable broth would have been better. I'll try that next time. There were also quite a few solo diners, so it seems like a casual place where I can easily drop by alone.

This shop is a long-established store founded 99 years ago in Yonezawa City, and it seems to be a specialist in meat, from raising and processing Yonezawa beef to selling and operating restaurants. It is surprising that they handle the fattening process in their own workshop. The lunch special, "Yonezawa Beef Lean Beef Hot Pot (2,500 yen including tax)," seemed reasonable to me. Particularly noteworthy is the soup base. At first, it was a sweet and salty sukiyaki with a soy sauce base, but there is a special miso sauce hidden at the bottom of the pot, and before you know it, it changes into a rich miso flavor.
