The noren curtain was not hanging, and the lunch menu was placed on the floor near the door so as not to stand out. The restaurant is located down a narrow street, making it easy to overlook if you don't know about it. The lunch menu offers two options in addition to unadon, with a daily special. On this day, they had grilled pheasant, which seemed to have a flavor similar to eel sauce. I visited around 11:30 and there were no other customers. The interior of the restaurant has a counter that can seat around 10 people, as well as a slightly larger tatami room in the back. I ordered the grilled pheasant. There was a roaster in the kitchen, where the chicken skewers were grilled with sauce. The owner didn't leave the roaster, constantly checking the cooking progress. It was served in about 15 minutes. The chicken was firm and had a good texture. The sauce was initially mild, but then a nice sweetness emerged. The side dishes were standard, with delicious miso soup and accentuated pickles.
