Recently, I tried the "Shippo Mala Tang" that I've been seeing more often. I didn't really understand the system, but I decided to just go for it! I was given a large bowl and told that I could add vegetables for 1g = 3.1 yen. Among the variety of ingredients, I chose water spinach, crown daisy, scallions, broccoli, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, chicken meatballs, quail eggs, and baby corn. I was asked if I wanted any additional toppings, so I added lamb meat. The total bill came to ¥2,344, which was quite expensive! I may have gone overboard with the toppings, especially with the broccoli, baby corn, and quail eggs. But the taste was really delicious. You can also change the soup, so it seems like a place where you can have some fun. Just be careful not to overdo it with the toppings. #Rating Guide# ★★★★★: Divine! Chiba Ma La Tang (Chi Pao Maratan) offers a medicinal soup with customizable toppings and spiciness levels, served with glass noodles. I had been curious about this place because an influencer I follow often goes there. Finally, last month, a branch opened near my neighborhood! I went to check it out. It's perfect to have something spicy in the hot weather, right? When I passed by during lunchtime, there was a long line! Feeling intimidated, I returned in the evening and found only one person in line, so I decided to give it a try. I was nervously choosing my toppings - I picked my favorite water spinach, white wood ear mushrooms, and black fungus. I really wanted those wood ear mushrooms! I didn't pay attention to other toppings like vegetables or dumplings (laughs). Now, it takes about 7 minutes until it's ready. Here comes my first Chi Pao. The soup has a medicinal taste and it's spicy! Oh? I chose level 2 spiciness, but I'm glad I didn't go for level 3 (laughs). Whew. I wasn't sure how many toppings to choose, but I'm glad I kept it moderate. It didn't end up being too much. The hot and spicy flavors hit me at the same time, so it didn't go as smoothly as I thought... I love spicy food, but maybe this flavor isn't quite right for me. Well, it was good to try something new. Thanks for the meal.

I had a spicy hot pot. It was fun to choose the level of spiciness and toppings. The jade dumplings and beef tendons I topped with had an ethnic flavor. The spiciness was just right. The fruity acidity of the tomatoes added a nice touch and made it delicious.
