Uenoya is the originator of "Usagiya". It is not a branch of the Ueno store, but rather a separate establishment with slightly different ingredients and methods for making dorayaki. The first Uenoya was founded in Ueno by the Taniguchi family in 1913. In 1948, the founder's son opened a store in Nihonbashi. The dorayaki there has a fluffy texture and a chewy feel. The red bean paste is fresh and smooth, perfectly balanced with the softness of the dough. The sweetness of the paste is more pronounced compared to other Usagiya stores. Overall, it is a refined and delicious dorayaki, a representative Tokyo confectionery. Perfect for bringing as a souvenir to other regions. Thank you for the meal!

Yesterday, I returned to the office and was doing some office work at my desk when I went to the copier and found some dorayaki from a customer. It was a rabbit dorayaki! I excitedly got one. I forgot about work and sat at my desk to eat the dorayaki! I took a bite. The skin was subtly sweet and the filling had an elegant sweetness. It was delicious! Ah, happiness. I wish I could just go home without working! After finishing eating, I had to go back to the desk work in front of me. Thank you! It was a treat!

I had some business in Marunouchi, so I stopped by this place since it was nearby. It was 11am on a weekday, so there were only two customers. I heard that you can get up to 4 blue bags for free. I bought 4 sets of 3 pieces each and enjoyed them in the car right away. They were indeed big, fluffy, and the red bean paste was delicious. I would like to see their kitchen at least once. The expiration date is the next day. They don't ship their products, so I can't send them to my friends in other regions. That must mean they don't contain preservatives. They don't have a parking lot and only accept cash.

[Nearest Station] Tokyo Station -> About 7 minutes walk Today, I was looking for somewhere delicious to eat at a famous Japanese sweets shop, and I came across information that Usagiya is famous for their "dorayaki", so I decided to go to Tokyo Station right away! When I arrived, I found a very compact shop quietly standing on the first floor of an office building. The shop was so small that it would feel cramped with about 3 customers inside. I visited in the early evening on a weekday, and there was no line, so I quickly got my hands on some dorayaki. [Today's Order] ◆ Dorayaki ¥240- I don't usually eat dorayaki, so I can't compare it to other shops, but I thought it was delicious. It had plenty of red bean paste, and the texture was enjoyable with the whole beans. The slightly sweet aroma from the lightly baked surface whets the appetite. The texture of the cake was similar to a slightly firm pancake. It was tasty with its chewy texture. However, dorayaki always seems to take away all the moisture from your mouth, right? Haha. You definitely need a drink like tea with it! I bought 2, and my friend bought 10. When my friend ordered, they ran out, but they quickly brought more from another sister store! Dorayaki is definitely a popular item! Thank you for the meal! Ahh~. ☆Rating at the time of posting (3.83)

About a 5-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station Yaesu exit, this small shop can only accommodate around 2 people. Today, I purchased a dorayaki for 240 yen and mizu-yokan for 300 yen. The dorayaki had a perfect match of skin and red bean paste, making it very delicious. The skin was soft, which I personally liked. In my opinion, compared to a certain famous dorayaki from Kame**, I felt that this one had better taste and value for money. The mizu-yokan was moist, with a subtle sweetness that was just right. I enjoyed every bite until the end. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Just a 2-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, "Usagiya Honten" was established in 1948 (Showa 23). Known as one of the top three dorayaki shops in Tokyo alongside "Kameju" in Asakusa and "Sosuke" in Higashi-Jujo, Usagiya is always bustling with customers seeking their famous dorayaki. I was finally able to purchase some this time, arriving early during lunchtime to avoid the usual evening sellouts. The dorayaki, slightly larger than average, had a fluffy, sweet honey-infused dough that was delicious. The red bean paste had just the right amount of sweetness and moisture. I initially planned to save one for a snack the next day, but somehow they all disappeared before I knew it. It's a taste that makes you crave more, and it's hard to imagine anyone not being delighted to receive these dorayaki. While they are closed on weekends and holidays, I definitely want to visit again when I'm in Nihonbashi.

I have visited this place many times already. I once ordered 200 pieces as a gift. There are other branches in Nihonbashi, Ueno, and Asagaya, but this place is the most delicious. It is fluffy with plenty of red bean paste! It used to be in the 100 yen range, but now it has increased to 240 yen. I also bought some for freezing. I bought some for my friends too. I was able to purchase without waiting in line because it was a weekday morning, but in the afternoon, they are almost sold out. The Mizuyokan for 300 yen also looked delicious. They don't pack 5 pieces in a bag because they might get deformed, so I recommend buying 2 or 3 piece packs. They have boxes for gifts. They only accept cash, no cards or PayPay. The staff may not be very friendly, but they are always efficient. If you ever go to Nihonbashi, I recommend trying this delicious treat.

There are many famous "dorayaki" shops in Tokyo, but personally, my favorite is the dorayaki from "Usagiya." It's not so much about the taste of the ingredients or the red bean paste, but the overall balance of the dorayaki itself that impresses me. Among the Usagiya shops, I especially like the Asagaya branch, so I hope to visit there again soon.

Be prepared to wait in line or make a reservation. When making a reservation, you will be asked for your arrival time so they can bake the dorayaki accordingly. On the day I visited, there wasn't much crowding in Tokyo, possibly due to the impact of the typhoon causing many train cancellations. Just to be safe, I called at the opening time of 9:00 am and was able to make a same-day reservation. After strolling around Ginza, I arrived at the shop around 3:00 pm. They still had some dorayaki left for the day, so I bought some individually and sat on a nearby bench. I was surprised by the weight of the boxed dorayaki I received. They were indeed filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste, and the pancake was moist and delicious. Highly recommended for those who like sweet red bean paste. Each piece costs 240 yen. Each one is a hand-baked treat filled with love, so I recommend everyone to enjoy it.

I lowered the price of the dorayaki to 240 yen. It was a dense and heavy dorayaki, filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. The sweetness of the red bean paste was just right. The sweetness of the dough was also perfect, and it was really delicious. They also had other sweets like manju, so I would like to buy them next time.

I stopped by a dorayaki shop on my way back from the eel restaurant after checking on Tabelog that my favorite dorayaki shop was nearby. It was my first time visiting and I was pleased to find that it wasn't crowded. I bought a pack of 6 dorayaki and tried one right away. At first, it tasted like a regular dorayaki, but from the second one onwards, I could really taste the deliciousness. As mentioned in reviews, the anko filling was not too sweet and paired perfectly with the dough. I tried eating them chilled from the second one onwards, and it was refreshing and tasty. These dorayaki would definitely make a great gift! Thank you for the meal!

My daughter received a dorayaki from her boss, which is a treat that she doesn't often buy for herself. She got plenty of them so she decided to share them with us. The dorayaki has a plump appearance, and you can tell just by looking at it that it's filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. This dorayaki... oh, it's delicious! The outer layer is moist and has a slightly toasted aroma. The red bean paste is subtly sweet, with a refined sweetness. It's so tasty! I'm happy that the texture of the azuki beans is still noticeable. I'll definitely buy some if I have the chance. Lately, my daughter has been starting to like dorayaki because of my son's influence. Thank you to my daughter's boss for the treat - it was delicious!

I visited on a regular day. I bought rabbit-shaped sweets and monaka. They had a refined sweetness that went well with tea. The sweets were especially delicious. There were various types available, so I would like to visit again and try different ones.

I happened to stop by on a Saturday afternoon about three weeks ago and was able to purchase without waiting in line. I visited again this Saturday and was able to buy without waiting as well. The dorayaki I had this time didn't feel as fluffy as last time, but it was still delicious with a gentle texture.

Work in the Nihonbashi area. Finished early today and decided to stop by the main store of "Usagiya" near where I was yesterday before heading home. The store is even smaller than the one on Chuo-dori. I bought some dorayaki yesterday, so today I got some "manju." I got one with coarse red bean paste and one with sesame in the dough. The dough has a crispy texture. The red bean paste has a nice texture of whole beans. The sesame paste has a rich and sticky flavor. You can enjoy two different types of "an" (sweet bean paste).

I discovered the existence of the main store, which I had never noticed before, located on the first floor of a mixed-use building that does not face the main street. Since I found out about it, I decided to pay a visit. Unlike the bustling central store in Nihonbashi, this one is quiet and unassuming. I decided to try not only their dorayaki but also their manju. I purchased two small manju, one with smooth red bean paste and the other with chunky red bean paste. Unfortunately, the larger manju was sold out here, but I was told I could find it at the central store. The manju turned out to be delicious, and paired with Japanese tea, it was a comforting treat.

I visited the second Usagiya shop following the one in Ueno. I tried their dorayaki for 240 yen. The texture of the cake was fluffy, and compared to the simple and rustic taste of Ueno's, this one had a more modern impression. Both are delicious.

I visited Usagiya main store around 10 o'clock on a regular day and bought some dorayaki. I purchased a gift box with 6 pieces for 1,590 yen, and also got a few more for myself. The skin was moist and fluffy, and the sweet red bean paste was just right, not too sweet. The store was located in a corner surrounded by buildings, and didn't have a strong sense of tradition, but I hope this delicious taste can be enjoyed by the next generation. It was very delicious, thank you for the meal.

I visited Usagiya's dorayaki shop multiple times because I wanted to try their dorayaki, but there was always a long line and I couldn't buy it. Today, around 5:30 in the evening, I happened to pass by and there was no one in line, and the sold out sign was not displayed. I asked the staff if they still had dorayaki, and they said they did. I ordered 5 pieces, and then the sold out sign was put up. When I ate it at home, the outer dough was fluffy and the red bean paste inside was chunky, giving an overall gentle taste to the dorayaki.

The dorayaki for 240 yen has a truly unique atmosphere, but you can feel the history of a dorayaki shop founded after the war. It doesn't have the flashy charm of a place like Bunmeido that used to have commercials, but quietly and steadily continues to make and sell dorayaki. That simple feeling is nice.

I had eaten at the Yushima branch before and also visited the cafe, but I heard that the main store is more delicious, so I went there. My impression after eating was that it was delicious. I didn't really notice any differences... but it was fluffy, had plenty of sweet red bean paste, and was satisfying to eat, so it was delicious. Somehow, it seemed like the sweet red bean paste was more solid compared to Yushima?
