Inoda Coffee has many locations in Kyoto, which I didn't know at all, as I passed by them at Kyoto Station and inside department stores. I resisted the temptation to make a detour and headed straight to the main store. I visited for breakfast the day after my Kyoto trip. I arrived at the store around 9 am. The inside was more than half full. The terrace seats are smoking seats, but since the weather was nice, I chose a terrace seat. There was a courtyard with a fountain, and having breakfast while listening to the sound of the flowing water from the fountain was quite nice. The coffee was rich and delicious!! The croissant was really tasty too! The scrambled eggs were generously buttered, and eating them with ham was just right in terms of saltiness. The dressing on the cabbage was also delicious! Since I was going to eat lunch somewhere else later, I wanted a light breakfast, so the breakfast set here had just the right amount of bread for me! If you want to get really full, I recommend the sandwich or rice dishes. The atmosphere inside the store was really nice, and if there was one nearby, I would want to visit every day. The goods for sale were cute, so I ended up buying some as souvenirs. The staff were all very attentive and I had a comfortable time there. Thank you very much! I will come again!

The other day, I visited the main store of Inoda Coffee near Karasuma Oike in Kyoto. When it comes to Kyoto's morning, this is the place to go. This time, I had Kyoto-style breakfast. Of course, the coffee was the traditional original brand "Arabian Pearl". They asked if I wanted milk and sugar, and I recommend adding them. The black coffee has a rich flavor, but it might be a bit strong for the morning. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, ham, croissant, and plenty of vegetables. Orange juice was also included. It felt like a British morning. I went around 7:45 am and it was already crowded with people. Everyone seems to like it. I will visit again when I come back to Kyoto.

I had breakfast at Inoda from 7 am. I love the retro and cute old building side seats with red checkered cloths. It may be heavy to have Hayashi rice for breakfast, but that's what I did! The French toast was not really French toast, but more like fried bread with sugar sprinkled on top.笑

I wonder if it's still like that now. Both the staff and the regular customers have a certain elegance, making it feel like stepping back in time to the Showa era. All the dishes are delicious, but I especially love the salad here. It comes in a generous portion, and the dressing is tasty. They also quickly refill your water when it's empty. Actually, I visited this restaurant twice for work meetings on this day. The first time was at the newer section in the front, but the second time was at the old building. The atmosphere there was also retro and nice.

It is one of Kyoto's three major coffee shops, established in 1940 as a long-standing store in Kyoto. The exterior resembles a Kyoto machiya townhouse. The shop seems to have been expanded and renovated from the adjacent coffee shop, but upon further investigation, it was revealed that a fire occurred, leading to the establishment of the main building with a second floor in 2000, the old building replicating its original appearance, and small rooms resembling a museum. It has an atmosphere that combines traditional Japanese and Western styles, with a view of a garden. The spacious interior exudes a sense of history that has evolved alongside Kyoto's cafe culture. I was guided to a table on the second floor. I ordered the following: - Arabia's Pearl (690 yen including tax) - Pudding (480 yen including tax) Arabia's Pearl is the house blend hot coffee that has been offered since the store's founding. When I placed my order, the staff asked, "Would you like sugar and milk?" I replied, "Isn't it traditional to have sugar and milk added?" to which they smiled and responded, "Indeed it is." I requested the default option with sugar and milk. The staff advised me to stir as the sugar tends to settle at the bottom. The flavor was not particularly unique, but it was a well-rounded and easy-to-drink coffee. The restaurant's famous pudding was not as firm as it appeared, with a caramel topping that had a nice touch of bitterness. The atmosphere was truly delightful. I look forward to trying a different coffee in the old building on my next visit.

It's tough to wait in line in the heat, whether it's for breakfast or lunch. Since I was already there, I decided to buy a peach cake. The peach flavor, cream, and fluffy sponge cake combined to create a perfect level of sweetness. It paired well with coffee.

We had some time before checking into the hotel, so we decided to have tea time at the main store. The kids had parfait with lemon squash, while the adults had cake sets with hot coffee. I had udon, but it wasn't enough, so I ordered a roll bread set. It came with a shrimp roll bread, shredded cabbage, and potato salad, which was more cost-effective than the cake set. It was delicious.

Visited on Sunday around 12:30 pm. The old building was preferred, but it was full, so we waited for about 10 minutes before entering. The new building has more seating, making it easier to get in, but the atmosphere in the old building is exceptional. We ordered at our table and paid at the counter near the entrance. This time, we ordered the Pudding Parfait (1,160 yen). You can order items individually, not just as part of a set. The parfait had a classic firm pudding at the top center, surrounded by plenty of fruit. There was also plenty of ice cream and cream, making it very satisfying and delicious.

I happened to pass by Inoda and decided to stop for an iced coffee to beat the heat. There were a few people waiting, but I couldn't wait in this heat, so I quickly made up my mind and went inside. I saw that there were only a few cakes left, so I chose the Lemon Cheesecake and Chocolate Banana Mousse to take home. When I got home and looked at the packaging, I realized that it was not the usual Inoda style - it was a Hello Kitty box! The Lemon Cheesecake had a tangy lemon jelly with cream cheese and a sweet sponge base, while the Chocolate Banana Mousse had a sweet mousse on top of a fluffy sponge with a crunchy base. Both were delicious, especially when paired with cold matcha. It was a great meal.

On a sunny holiday afternoon, when I thought about having a leisurely lunch, "Inoda Coffee Main Store" came to my mind first as always. Today, on a clear summer afternoon, I visited with the purpose of lunch. I ordered the classic "Borsena" and "French Toast" with iced coffee from Inoda Coffee. It was a simple yet foolproof choice. Long-awaited first visit. About 7-8 minutes walk from Karasuma Oike Station. Around 2 o'clock on Sunday, there were about 6 groups waiting, but I was seated in about 20 minutes. I originally wanted to come for breakfast, but due to schedule changes and the heat, I had to change plans. But I was very satisfied! The atmosphere was kind of like an old cabaret, which I liked! I saw some delicious looking parfaits and sandwiches being served around me, but since I had already eaten lunch, I opted for the cake set. The coffee had a moderate bitterness and a rich flavor that enhanced the adult taste. (I'm sorry for the poor review) The chiffon roll had a refreshing cream that wasn't too sweet, with bits of orange pulp here and there, very refreshing! Goes well with the coffee. I left feeling very satisfied. The staff were also friendly and provided attentive service. Truly a venerable establishment. I would love to go back again for a meal or breakfast. By the way, I ordered the iced coffee without sweetness and without milk.

Waiting for 40 minutes was worth it. A luxurious morning with cake is perfect to start a wonderful day. The atmosphere was amazing. It would have been even better if we could have sat on the terrace and enjoyed the view of the garden, but seating was not selectable.

I visited this long-established coffee shop because I wanted to drink delicious coffee. The shop has two different atmospheres that are connected, making the interior very charming. I ordered a rum rock and melon soda, orange roll cake, and iced coffee. The coffee had a deep flavor as expected. The cake also had a nostalgic taste that was very delicious.

The relaxed atmosphere is pleasant. Since it's a weekday, there seem to be regular customers and many foreign tourists. Today I had the salad morning set with coffee. I've been drinking light roasted coffee recently, so this one feels a bit heavier than usual. The classic atmosphere inside the shop. In this spacious environment, I feel like I'm really in Kyoto. I have visited many times, but I always gave up because there was always a line. Today, I decided to wait in line and was quickly seated after just 2 minutes. The shop is spacious, with about 200 seats. I chose a seat on the second floor, but the seat I was directed to had a staff member standing right next to me, which was unsettling.
