This is a restaurant I've always wanted to visit. Every time I peeked in, the counter was always full. I thought it must be a popular place, so I gave up. But then I found out that reservations were possible! My friend made a reservation for us, so we went. We were seated at a table on the second floor, which was also bustling with people enjoying their drinks. We ordered dishes like abalone sashimi (2 pieces for 650 yen), spinach and pork stir-fry (350 yen), shrimp and vegetable tempura (450 yen), fried whale (450 yen), grilled ray fin (400 yen), seafood ajillo (450 yen), and dashimaki tamago (price unknown). The abalone sashimi was amazing for the price! The crunchy texture and sea aroma were irresistible. Also, surprisingly, the spinach and pork stir-fry was delicious! It's a dish I wouldn't normally order, but it was really good. I'll definitely try more stir-fried dishes next time. Everything was cheap and tasty, no wonder the place is always full. It's convenient for a quick bite at the counter or for a party on the second floor. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When passing by the restaurant at noon, I saw that the counter around the kitchen was full of customers. There were two seats available at the long bench inside, where people were waiting. I thought to myself, this place must be really good and reasonably priced, judging by the diverse age range of customers. A restaurant like this must be a winner with no disappointments. To confirm my assumptions, I visited the restaurant around 4 pm. I was led to the second floor, which was spacious beyond my imagination. There were table seats for over 30 people. The ceiling was high and the place looked beautiful and open. I had only thought there was a first floor, so it exceeded my expectations! Families, friends, and various customers were dining, enjoying a wide range of Japanese cuisine. There were various dishes available, including whale meat prepared in different ways. I opted for the ginger pork since I had already ordered the corn tempura. Since it was September, I decided to also try the matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot. It was a wonderful restaurant that lived up to my imagination of offering seasonal dishes at affordable prices. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely come back again.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while. I went with my friends looking forward to the drinks and food. They don't take reservations, so we had to wait in line. The drinks were delicious, and the food was amazing too. Every dish we tried was tasty, and all the staff were friendly. It's no wonder this place is so popular. They have a wide variety of menu items like sashimi, grilled dishes, and fried foods. We ordered squid tempura, grilled eel liver, Japanese peppers, sliced tomatoes, and some sake from Kyoto and Fukuoka which were all delicious. I definitely want to go back to this restaurant.

It was just before 2 o'clock on Sunday and there were 2 groups waiting. Since we were already full, we ordered sashimi, stir-fry, and bottled beer. The woman who seemed to be the landlady was very attentive and we were grateful for that. The dishes were served promptly and although they were inexpensive, they were all delicious. Next time, we'll come when we're hungry.

This place is not very cheap, but not too expensive either. The menu is wide-ranging, from sashimi to deep-fried dishes. It's a shame they don't have a proper way to end the meal. The food is delicious. It's a great place to have a few drinks at the counter with a small group, or even go with a large group for a party. It's casual and people come and go quickly, so the turnover is fast.

Sunday afternoon drinking party. Finally made a reservation at Moritaya, a place I always pass by while glancing at the long line. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has table seats. Both were full on this Sunday of the long weekend. Cheers with Akahoshi. Steamed abalone x2 / Grilled crab miso in shell each 650 yen Burdock tempura / Sashimi assortment price unknown Vegetable tempura assortment / Beef tendon skewers each 450 yen Braised pork 500 yen / Grilled beef belly 600 yen Braised pork tendons / Homemade dumplings each 350 yen Fried chicken wings x2 400 yen Ordered oden without beef tendon for an extra 100 yen. The staff seemed very busy, making it hard to flag them down. So, I placed all my orders at once. Everything was cheap and delicious. I especially loved the tendon skewers and braised pork tendons. The drinks kept flowing. It's a 2-hour limit during busy times, so after having a good time, we headed to another place. It's not the kind of place you can just drop in whenever you feel like it (because it's always crowded), but I will definitely come back when I want to drink in the afternoon again.

When I arrived, the restaurant was fully booked, so my friends and I waited in the back while chatting. The owner kindly offered us a small glass of beer while we waited, which was very thoughtful. We toasted and then moved to the available counter seats. The horse mackerel sashimi was fresh and delicious, the homemade sesame tofu had a nice homemade touch and was tasty, the cherry shrimp tempura was flavorful and filling, the grilled sardines with plum were a favorite, the mozzarella was generous, and the chrysanthemum oden was great too. I had only planned to have a few drinks, but the food was so good that I ended up ordering more and enjoyed drinking. The place was lively and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves with delicious food and smiles all around!

On Saturday afternoon, I felt like drinking beer and wandered around Tennoji. I found a nice place with a good atmosphere. It was moderately crowded and had a busy vibe, which was great. Luckily, I was able to get in without waiting. Drinking beer in the afternoon is the best. In the spring, they serve tempura bamboo shoots, sweetfish, and grilled bamboo shoots. I'll definitely go back.

It's been a while, so I took a stroll around Tennoji area. I had some time before my main restaurant reservation, so I decided to stop by Moritaya for some drinks in the afternoon. Luckily, there was a free seat so I quickly took it. I noticed everyone around me was ordering the tuna, so I decided to order the same. The quality was great for the price, so it was worth it. I couldn't resist ordering some gyoza, which was delicious. If I didn't have another restaurant to go to, I would have ordered more! It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I had some business near Tennoji. After finishing up, I was heading towards Tennoji Station when I stumbled upon this place. I saw the exterior and thought, "This looks like a good place." So, I decided to go in and it was the right choice! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable. I was planning to just have one bottle of beer and leave, but ended up staying longer. It was packed even during the day, which I understand why now!

Today, I went to the annual "Uemachi Yose" at Isshinji Minami Kaisho to listen to the comedy show. It was a performance by two comedians, Katsura Sanshichi and Katsura Choba. After laughing a lot, I got hungry so I went to a nearby old-fashioned pub. When I entered around 4 pm, it was packed! I waited on a bench inside for about 5 minutes until I finally got a seat at the counter. I started with a glass of draft beer and ordered some snacks: fresh tuna sashimi, homemade sweet potato tempura, grilled squid with sauce, and grilled cutlassfish with salt. They all seemed like they would go well with sake, so I had a glass of Toichi Junmai (Saga) and Manazuru Tokubetsu Junmai (Miyagi). The total bill came to 2,960 yen. I paid in cash and said thank you for the meal♪♪♪

I heard about a good restaurant from an acquaintance and decided to visit. It was just before 6 o'clock, but luckily I was able to get in without waiting in line. The menu had a lot of options, so first-timers might find it difficult to choose. I ordered the grilled chicken skewers and sashimi based on the recommendation. The taste was average, but the portion was suitable for sharing between two people. There were several types of sake available, and this time I chose the Tokiichi and Kaze no Mori. The atmosphere of the restaurant was always busy, so you need to speak loudly when placing your order. Overall, it's reasonably priced and I think it's a good place for a first stop of the night.

The streets of Tennoji are bustling and it can be quite challenging without the help of locals. So, I went to Moritaya. The place was packed with both young and old customers at the counter. They serve dishes like grilled eel liver, fish, and dashimaki tamago. You can eat as much as you want. Let's go to one more place.

"This guy is really popular!" With that, the boss finished a job and was already in a good mood, having a drink. He praised his friend, whom he had arranged to meet with just one word. The meeting place was Moritaya, a local seafood-focused restaurant popular with young people. Ah, it was nostalgic for me, too, as I visited it for the first time in 10 years. The day before, my friend and I tried to visit but it was so crowded that we couldn't get in. Even on this day, when I went alone to scout two hours before, the reality was that it was still packed with customers coming in one after another. However, as the time got later, the place started to calm down, but most of the dishes were sold out and they had to inform new customers that there were hardly any dishes left. Moritaya lived up to its reputation for delicious, fresh seafood. Despite the sold-out situation, we ordered a sashimi platter with the remaining fish carefully selected. The freshness was just as good as it was 10 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see red clams on the sashimi platter. The local sake was also quite well-selected. I still remember the excitement of drinking Shichihonyari from Shiga for the first time at Moritaya 10 years ago. The style of overflowing sake cups was a signature of Moritaya, but the artisan recommended a 1-go tokkuri for two people as a better deal than individual glasses. However, some artisans forgot to bring the tokkuri and even the ochoko, which was a bit disappointing. It may have been due to being busy. The issue of sake vessels could have been resolved if the customers had any requests. In Osaka, "Negima" refers to green onions and tuna, which can also be found in oden. When asked if we wanted it grilled, it was to be added to the oden as is on the skewer. When we asked for it grilled, it was surprisingly delicious, with a texture similar to meat, despite being a tough part like the neck or tendon that is deliberately heated for use as a dish. The spiciness and umami of the fatty part, whether it be beef or pork, with pepper sprinkled on top, combined with the refreshing taste of the green onions, exploded in the mouth. By the way, at the beginning of the meal, when my friend introduced me as coming from Saitama, the boss jokingly said, "Oh, the lame Saitama..." Despite being slightly drunk, I playfully chopped him on the side. Even if he's drunk, I hope the boss will remember me the next time we meet.

For first-time visitors, this restaurant can be a bit confusing to understand. It seems like the norm to line up behind others in front of the shop, then go inside and wait at the back of the first floor, but it's not clearly explained. The restaurant had high ratings and I had high expectations, but the food was just okay, nothing special. The cost performance was average. The owner's service was a bit disappointing. When I went to Tennoji with a friend for a daytime drink, we visited two places and it was still only 3:30 pm, so we decided to go to one more place. The next place we went to was Moritaya, a popular casual izakaya serving seasonal dishes and seafood located just a short walk from JR Tennoji Station. When we entered the restaurant, it was full, so we sat on chairs inside and waited. The staff kindly served us a cold beer in a glass while we waited, which was a nice gesture. When a seat at the counter opened up just as we finished our beer, we moved there. Looking at the drink menu, I decided to order sake this time, opting for the Daiginjo Namachozo sake from Ozeki. We also ordered various dishes from the menu, including the recommended Toro Skewer, Grilled Beef Harami, Snow Crab, Negima Yakitori, Fried Corn, and Nikujaga. The food was delicious, and the sake paired well with it. The staff were friendly and the overall experience was great. I would love to come back for another drink sometime. Cheers!

I don't usually come to Amataro Tennoji, so I made a reservation for a fresh experience at a drinking party with another company. We were seated on the second floor, but I don't remember what we ate at all because I was drunk. It's sad, but I posted some photos. I will go again next time. Thank you for the meal.

In Tennoji, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 3 PM for a casual drink, but the place was almost fully packed with only one table available on the second floor. We tried the Sazae sashimi for 450 yen, which had a crunchy texture and a hint of bitterness in the liver, very delicious! The swordtip squid sashimi for 500 yen and the horsehair crab for 550 yen were also tasty, especially the horsehair crab which we had seconds of (laughs). We had two large bottles, six chu-hai and shochu highballs, and the total bill for two people was around 5,000 yen. It was quite cheap considering the quality.
