It is a well-known izakaya chain that is mainly located in the Tokyo metropolitan area and has branches nationwide. I have used it a few times for company parties, but this was my first time having lunch there. It operates on a prepayment system where you buy tickets from a machine at the entrance. I ordered the beef stew set meal for 800 yen. Despite it being past the peak hours, the place was crowded with nearby office workers. The food arrived shortly after being seated. The soy sauce-based broth contained tender beef, daikon radish, carrot, burdock root, and konjac. It was topped with green onions and grated daikon radish. The dish was packed with ingredients, but the taste was just average. It came with rice, miso soup, and cold tofu, but for a lunch price, it felt a bit expensive.

I used it for my son's soccer team meeting. The large banquet hall is convenient for a large number of people. Regardless of the taste, it's nice because kids can be noisy without any problem. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is it. The price is amazing for a decent course in this area. Each dish was delicious. I would like to use it again.

The cocktails are delicious. The all-you-can-drink cocktails and beer for around 3000 yen are fantastic.

[Purpose of Visit] Second party [Ambiance] The atmosphere is relatively calm and nice. [Order] I had beer along with salad, potato fries, and some aged beef. [Taste] The beer was delicious! It was fantastic. The meat was also tasty. [Portion Size] Average. [Value for Price] It cost around 2000 yen for some light food and drinks. So, it's okay. [Overall Impression] A place with delicious beer leaves a good impression!

Visited on May 22, 2017 (Monday) around 12:03 PM. The restaurant is located a 2-minute walk from JR "Tamachi Station" and a 1-minute walk from Toei Subway "Mita Station," near the entrance of the Keio Nakadori shopping street. The entrance is on the second floor after climbing the stairs, where there were two lunchtime-exclusive food ticket vending machines installed to the left of the entrance. Although there were stairs leading to the third floor, it seemed like they were not being used on that day. During lunchtime on weekdays, the second floor was quite busy, with customers being rotated efficiently. The restaurant was quite spacious, with many two-person and four-person table seats arranged on the second floor, separated by small partition walls. The third floor seemed to be more suitable for banquets, with minimal partition walls, possibly accommodating up to 120 people. At the time of my review, the restaurant had 16 reviews and an average rating of 3.00 stars (Evening: 3.00 stars, Lunch: 3.00 stars). I stared at the food ticket vending machine on the left of the entrance and pressed the button for the "Pork Ginger Stir-Fry Set Meal 700 yen (tax included)." There was also a button for "Extra Large" next to it, but it was advertised that rice and miso soup were refillable for free. I wonder if there is any meaning to the "Extra Large" button? (laughs) The lunch menu was priced at 720 yen or less, including tax, making it one of the cheaper options in the area. The daily lunch special on that day was "Chicken Karaage with Grated Ponzu Sauce 700 yen (tax included)." I opted for the ginger stir-fry over the chicken. They also had Zaru Udon for 450 yen (tax included), but I felt like I needed something more substantial. Soft drinks like cola and oolong tea were available for 100 yen (tax included). Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a male staff member who led me to a two-person table seat as I was dining alone. It seemed like the rice and miso soup refills were self-service. The food was served in just 4 minutes, impressively fast and convenient for a lunchtime service. It appeared to be reheated dishes, but it was not an issue at all. The main pork ginger stir-fry was cooked with carrots and onions. The pork itself was not of the highest quality, but it was decent. The portion size was a bit small, in my opinion. The chopped green onions on top were unnecessary. The meal also came with rice, miso soup, pickles, and a mini cold tofu. The miso soup contained wakame seaweed and wheat gluten. Overall, it was a well-rounded lunch that would appeal to many. I found the rice bowl to be small, but considering the self-service refills, it was more environmentally friendly than leaving food uneaten. I regret not checking what was available for refills in the space where the extra rice was placed, as it was my first visit. After Sakura Suisan closed down, my quest for affordable dining options continues (laughs). The total bill for the day was 700 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Yamanote Line Tamachi Station, I had work near the station today. After finishing work and feeling hungry, I had about an hour until the last train, so I decided to explore the izakayas around the station. I found "Kuimonoya Wan" located right near Tamachi Station, just a 2-minute walk towards Keio University. Since it was about an hour before the last train, the place was quiet. They had private rooms which made it easy for conversations. I started with a draft beer. It's already autumn, so they had many autumn menu items that caught my interest. I ordered "Edamame" for 380 yen, just to start. It was just regular edamame. Warm edamame would have been more appreciated. Next, I tried the "Handmade Melty Cheese Tsukune" for 520 yen. I preferred the tsukune as it is, without any strange twists. The "Domestic Seseri Grilled Skewers" for 620 yen had a good amount for its price. It may look charred due to the charcoal, but the texture was great. The "Grilled Satsuma-Age with Nodoguro" for 580 yen was large and satisfying, although I couldn't really tell if it had nodoguro in it. Lastly, the "Men's Karaage, Juicy Fried" for 590 yen was like a chicken cutlet, but with excellent cost performance. The combination with green onions was perfect. Wan is a high-level izakaya even among chain izakayas, especially in terms of cost performance. I hope they continue to delight us with such dishes in the future. Thank you for the meal.

During my lunch break at work, I had lunch in Tamachi! I looked around at various places, but ended up at an izakaya called Wan for lunch♫ I ordered a very reasonably priced steak bowl with a free extra-large portion. It arrived in just 5 minutes - very quick! However, it was just average for the price. The meat was tender, but unfortunately, the portion was small. It felt more like a beef bowl than a steak. The rice portion was large, but the amount of meat was disappointing. My companion ordered a pork cutlet set, and I tried a bite, but the cutlet was thin and lacked flavor.

Visited in June 2016. After drinking a lot at the meat LABO across the station from 17:00 to 23:00 (open until the last customer), I ended up here. I was irritated by someone who joined in without being invited and ended up getting drunk. Thankfully, the booth seating here was great. I enjoyed the tsukune skewers. Thank you for accepting my drunken self late at night. Drinking is only enjoyable with familiar company. Lesson learned.

It's a very ordinary izakaya in a business district. I used the private room on the second floor. The group of customers in the next room was quite noisy, so it wasn't very comfortable. We had hot pot as our main dish. We ordered chicken hot pot and sukiyaki-style hot pot. We didn't receive enough eggs for the sukiyaki-style hot pot. The taste was okay. For this price, I might have preferred to go to a cheaper sukiyaki specialty restaurant. I couldn't really understand what the specialty of this restaurant is despite its name. It just felt like a regular izakaya.

Located a 3-minute walk from Tamachi Station, this restaurant is situated on the upper floors of a major fast food chain. It appears to use the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, but during lunchtime, only the 2nd floor is used. With plenty of seating, there is no need to wait even during lunchtime. Each seat has partitions, so it's nice and spacious for solo diners. The lunch is ordered through a ticket system, with options like "udon with tuna bowl," "steak bowl," "daily special set," and "ginger pork set." There are sample displays before entering the restaurant, making it easy to understand. Purchase your meal ticket from the vending machine inside, and you will be guided to your seat where your meal will be served promptly. One great thing about this place is that the price remains the same even for a larger portion...! However, the larger portion only applies to the rice, and the main dish doesn't seem to increase in size. Due to a change in pricing where "rice and miso soup refills are free," there is no longer a need to debate between "regular" and "large" portions. To avoid any mistakes, I ordered the "Chicken Nanban set" (720 yen including tax). The main dish of Chicken Nanban comes with rice, miso soup with wheat gluten and seaweed, and pickled vegetables on the side. The rice is on the firm side. While there may be slight variations in the amount of Nanban sauce or vinegar on different days, if you're looking for a good lunch option in the area, this restaurant's dish is my favorite.

On Saturday night, feeling like a dog, I visited the restaurant "Kuimonoya Wan" that I had made a reservation for. Upon entering the restaurant, I was guided to a sunken kotatsu seat on the 3rd floor. The mini husbands were running around on the floor in a dog-like style. So, this time we decided to go with a la carte and all-you-can-drink. First, we ordered beer. However, since it was Saturday night in Tamachi, the staff seemed a bit short-handed. The alcohol service was a bit slow. But drinking beer on a Saturday night is the best. We ordered a variety of dishes. We didn't order any butter-like dishes, but the taste overall was just okay! I couldn't help but gulp down a mango sour-like drink. Next time, if I have the chance, I would like to try the butter-like dish!

Having lunch in Tamachi! Completely unfamiliar with the area, so I had no idea where to go. I ended up at a familiar place, Wan, which I had surprisingly never been to before. I bought a ticket for the Chicken Nanban set meal at the ticket machine by the entrance and went inside. It was quite empty as it was late. I had to wait a while, but the freshly fried food was delicious. Personally, I found the Nanban sauce to be slightly different from my taste... a bit too sour maybe. It's hard to find the perfect tartar sauce, but for 700 yen, I can't complain.

In the afternoon, I worked hard and finally finished closing the receipts. We had a light after-work get-together at a local izakaya. We had a salad, appetizers, dashimaki tamago, motsu ponzu, cucumber with sesame oil, and eggplant from Kumamoto. For the main dish, we had motsu nabe (offal hot pot) before and after photos. We also enjoyed horse sashimi, horse tongue, and futae go (a part of the meat). The sashimi platter included shrimp, grilled chicken, and raw meat. We also had eggplant stir-fry. Since it was the weekend, we had a two-hour time limit, so we had to finish our meal quickly.

A few months ago, a new restaurant called "Kuimonoya Wan" opened on the second floor of a building that used to house a material shop (where I had lunch before) with McDonald's on the first floor! The building is usually occupied by a chain izakaya, with groups of people coming out after banquets at night. The previous lunch at the material shop was reliable and affordable, and it was a good value for money. It's a shame that it's gone. As for "Kuimonoya Wan," the interior is very clean and mainly consists of private rooms. Even if six people come, they won't be separated! I was drawn to the "Specialty! Steak Bowl" and decided to try it. The steak bowl was around 700 yen, and the lean meat was good! However, when I tried it, the meat was tough and hard to chew. It was in a state where it needed to be cut. I hope they use softer meat even if it's a bit more expensive. Someone ordered the "Chicken Nanban Bowl" for 650 yen (which is cheap!). It was topped with tartar mayonnaise, and seemed high in calories with a lot of oil. The "Kake Udon and Choice of Mini Bowl Set" for 750 yen is still cheap! You can choose from a tuna bowl or a salmon and ikura bowl (the menu photo is different, though). The taste aside, this place seems suitable for "private lunches," "large group lunches," and "affordable lunches"!

There are two floors, but lunch is served on the second floor. The restaurant is spacious with many 2-person and 4-person table seats. Lunch time is from 11:30 am to last order at 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Lunch menu includes options like udon noodles with a choice of small rice bowl for 750 yen, grilled fish set for 780 yen, Japanese-style hamburger set for 800 yen, tempura sashimi set for 850 yen, chicken nanban rice bowl for 650 yen, salmon avocado rice bowl for 680 yen, and steak rice bowl for 680 yen. Rice refills are free. All soft drinks are 357 yen each. The steak rice bowl was served quickly, with the meat cooked rare in a sweet and savory sauce. There is grated radish in the center of the bowl, but I think a poached egg would be better. This review was posted on a blog.
