In front of Yurakucho Station, on the first floor of the Tokyo Traffic Hall, "GODIVA Bakery Godipan" opened on a sunny day on August 4th. This is the first store in the world by GODIVA, a bakery shop created by the famous brand. The concept is "town bakery meets GODIVA", offering a new sensation of pastries and savory breads that combine the nostalgia and freshness with the essence of GODIVA, a chocolatier, expressed by the high skills of Japanese people. Wanting to make GODIVA, which has a slightly expensive image, more familiar by incorporating it into bread. In order to bake in-store, a low-temperature room kitchen is prepared separately for chocolate, delivering the freshly baked taste. The lineup consists of 28 items, all of which allow you to enjoy GODIVA chocolates, with prices starting at around 400 yen per piece. Especially popular are the Corone, which come in three flavors: chocolate custard cream with dark chocolate bar, matcha, and strawberry. Another highlight is the unique GODIVA curry bread that combines chocolate and curry. The selection was limited to a maximum of 4 items per person. The carefully selected items purchased were as follows: - Corone (Chocolate) 453 yen - Cocoa Fruit Cream Bread 378 yen - Chocolatier Curry Bread 453 yen - Fluffy Mochi Donut (Rich Chocolate) 486 yen - Shopper (Paper Bag) 55 yen * Vinyl shopper (22 yen) is also available. Each item was carefully packaged and the Corone and Fluffy Mochi Donut were refrigerated with ice packs. First, the most intriguing Chocolatier Curry Bread. When opened, the aroma of curry spills out of the bag. The soft dough and the savory curry provide a comforting taste. The bitter cocoa scent adds an accent, creating a rich flavor that feels as if it has been aged overnight. The unique baked curry bread with a blend of GODIVA's charm is truly exceptional. The Corone Chocolate, which is the most enjoyable aspect of GODIVA, was next. The slightly hard surface, which had been refrigerated and felt cold to the touch, contained chocolate custard cream that was elegant and not too sweet. When you bite into the chocolate bar hidden straight inside, the texture of the chocolate becomes more pronounced, blending into the deliciousness of the soft dough. The Corone Chocolate is a luxurious treat that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the delectable taste of GODIVA. For a change of taste, the Cocoa Fruit Cream Bread was chosen. The custard, which is as moist and rich as the dough, is surprisingly tropical in taste as it contains cocoa fruit juice. The cream, which is as moist and rich as the dough, is surprisingly tropical in taste as it contains cocoa fruit juice. The aroma that escapes through the nose is also pleasantly tropical! The cream, which has a unified sweetness and fragrance, provides a new sensation of cream bread that dispels the image of cocoa. Lastly, the Fluffy Mochi Donut. The dough, which feels oily on the surface, is moist and well-combined, and the bitter scent of cold chocolate paste is amazing! The crunchy crunch of the added crunch enhances the enjoyable texture, and the bitter aroma of cocoa that exudes from the cold chocolate paste finishes off the taste. This donut, filled with the deliciousness of chocolate, is truly special. Each bread has a unique flavor with the essence of GODIVA's cocoa, making it a must-try dessert-like reward bread for GODIVA lovers and bread enthusiasts alike. As a new bakery brand by GODIVA, this shop is sure to gather popularity and is a topic of interest, spreading the charm of chocolate and cocoa through bread. I had some business at the clinic in the Traffic Hall and happened to pass by the famous "GODIVA's Godipan" at 9:00. I managed to get a ticket for 12:30. After finishing at the clinic and having lunch, I headed to the shop at 12:00, only to realize I had mistaken the time for 12:30. The tickets are given out in 30-minute increments. The air was filled with the scent of chocolate, making me feel happy. There is a purchase limit of 5 items per person. What I bought was: Corone (Chocolat) for 453 yen, Belgian chocolate cream bread for 378 yen, Wakuwaku Pan (Chocolat) for 648 yen, Chocola Stick for 540 yen, and Chocolat no Mi for 270 yen. I tried the Wakuwaku Pan, which was filled with rich chocolate and had a fluffy texture. Although it was expensive at 648 yen, the taste was addictive. The Chocolat no Mi for 270 yen had a simple appearance but was moist inside with plenty of chocolate chips that melted in the mouth. It was a great deal compared to the other bread. I also purchased the Chocola Stick, which contained three spiral stick breads in a bag, offering a good value. The bread had a crispy texture with well-baked and fragrant chocolate. I will add more details later. The Godipan Stamp Card allows you to collect stamps by spending 500 yen (including tax) per purchase, and for every 10 stamps, you can exchange for a free coupon to choose one bread item from the exchangeable products. I quickly got the app and earned 4 stamps. It looks like I'll be able to collect them quickly. 😊

The battle begins by getting a ticket online in advance. It's a momentary battle. Luckily, I won the battle this day! Filled with joy for getting the famous Godipan, I headed to Yurakucho. Arriving 5 minutes before the reservation time, a line had already formed in order of ticket numbers. I managed to purchase 5 and headed home. Personally, I think the chocolate cornet is my favorite. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the first Godiva bakery shop, "GODIVA Bakery Godipan Main Store," which opened on August 4, 2023, more than a month after its opening. There is no longer a line to enter because they have switched to a ticket system. Getting the ticket was tough (I used the online version). I bought 5 items priced between 378 and 648 yen each. My favorite was the curry bread - the combination of chocolate and curry was fantastic. I would like to visit again if I have the chance, but the reservation process is a bit challenging. Thank you for the meal!

Visited on September 14, 2023 (Thursday) at 11:29 with a reservation. I obtained a paper ticket for entry on this day. The 11:00 slot seemed to move faster than expected, so I was able to make a purchase as soon as I arrived. I bought the following items: Matcha Coronet (453 yen), Cocoa Cream Bread (Cocoa Fruit Custard) (378 yen), and Cocoa Cream Bread (Belgian Chocolate) (378 yen). - Matcha Coronet: Standard dough with matcha cream and stick-shaped chocolate inside. The cream is similar to whipped cream and melts quickly, so it's best to eat it right away. - Cocoa Fruit Custard: The cream had a passion fruit-like flavor, which was a pleasant surprise. After the Chocola Coronet, this is my personal recommendation. It was very delicious, although I found it slightly expensive for a cream bread at 400 yen. - Belgian Chocolate: Not as impressive as the Coronet. The amount of cream was not that much, and I also felt it was a bit overpriced.

I issued a ticket through LINE starting at midnight the day before. I clicked right at 0:00, but by morning it was sold out, and by 1:00, I couldn't get one. I managed to get one at 14:30, which was surprisingly 20 seconds early. I was having tea at Tokyo Station that day, so I extended my trip to Yurakucho to line up at a GODIVA bakery according to the ticket order. At the 14:30 slot, two types of cakes and one type of bread were sold out. I bought a stick bread, three coronets, and one more chocolate bread, each costing nearly 500 yen. When I got home and tried them, the coronets with chocolate cream were delicious, while the stick bread with chocolate inside was just average. The extra chocolate bread, which was packed with chocolate, was plain but tasty.

I went to the newly opened Godiva Bakery. The location is on the 1st floor of the Yurakucho Station Front Traffic Hall. I arrived around 15:35 and found out about the ticket system. After the last ticket entry at 16:00, if there is bread in stock, you can enter freely. The limit is 5 items per person. The types of bread can be checked on the Godiva app. First, I tried the Coronet. It is refrigerated and has a chocolate stick inside. The bread is firm with a solid texture. Next, I tried the donut, also refrigerated. The oil smell was strong, and the cream inside was not well balanced. Lastly, I tried the curry bread. It had a unique taste due to the addition of cocoa, with a strong cocoa flavor and a hint of curry spices. Overall, it's worth trying once, but I wouldn't buy it again. I recommend the Maritozzo from Godiva Cafe instead.

As of September 16, 2023: - Tickets are distributed in-store starting from 9 am. - LINE reservations open at midnight for the next day. - You can buy up to 5 items with one ticket. - You can line up with a companion and purchase together, as long as it's within the 5-item limit. - Separate payments are allowed. - It's recommended to arrive earlier than the ticket time. Line up in order of ticket numbers and enter the store when it's your turn. - If it's the last ticket, the curry bread might be sold out, so it's better to come early if you have a specific item in mind. - There were plenty of cornets, so they should be in stock. - Cornets are refrigerated, so it's advisable to bring a cooler bag. The cornets have a refined sweetness, and the chocolate is delicious! I might want to try them again. Next time, I also want to buy the curry bread.

I got a numbered ticket through LINE and went to the bakery. I could buy up to 5 items of bread per ticket, so I carefully chose the following: Curry bread from the chocolatier for $453: Reheat it. The cocoa dough on the surface is slightly sweet. The curry inside is spicy. Sometimes it feels a bit like chocolate. Coronet (chocolate) for $453: The coronet dough is soft and sweet, reminiscent of brioche. Since it's refrigerated, the chocolate inside is firm. It's delicious, but is this what Godiva chocolate tastes like...? Chocolate-filled bread for $378: A hint of chocolate that lingers behind the sweet bean paste. If you eat it while thinking, you might not notice the chocolate. Chocolate bun for $270: A cocoa dough bun with chocolate. Well, it's just average. Soft mochi donut (hazelnut gianduja) for $486: I imagined there would be a soft gianduja cream inside, but there was something crispy with gianduja flavor, and I couldn't really taste the gianduja or the donut dough was not that great. I won't be a repeat customer. Maybe the high expectations from the name Godiva or the hurdle of getting a numbered ticket raises the expectations, but overall, it's quite average. If the taste is like this, there are other places where you can buy without waiting in line, and even cheaper... The bread bag is cute, and it's trendy, so it might be good as a souvenir.

I went to a popular shop and it was really difficult to get in. There are three ways to enter the shop: 1. Get a ticket through LINE, but the early slots fill up quickly so it's hard to get one. 2. Get a ticket in front of the store at 9:00 am and enter at the designated time. 3. Enter after 4:00 pm, but you have to line up before that. This time, I chose option 2. I happened to be in Yurakucho for work in the morning, so I went to get a ticket at 9:30 am and got a ticket for the 12:30-1:00 pm slot. I thought I would give up if I couldn't make it back in time, but I arrived just 5 minutes before and was able to enter. I could only buy up to 5 items per person. I had to skip the refrigerated croissants and tartines because I had to go back to work, but I got 4 types of bread: Godiva's Chocolate Curry Pan x2 for 906 yen, An de Chocolat for 378 yen, Motto Chocolanomi for 302 yen, and Chocola Stick for 540 yen. The Chocolate Curry Pan was a unique combination of mild chocolate and curry flavors, and it was delicious. The other breads were also tasty, but not exceptional enough to justify the difficult entry conditions and prices. Honestly, I think I'll wait until the entry criteria are relaxed a bit before considering this shop again.

I visited the bakery with a reservation on September 8th at 1:21 PM. I was able to get a ticket for the 1:30 PM slot as the 7th person in line. The bakery was crowded with about 15 people in each slot. I purchased a chocolate croissant, tartine (salad chicken), and fluffy mochi donut. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant was sold out when I tried to buy it, but a colleague shared one with me later. The prices were relatively high, ranging from 400 to 500 yen even for the cheaper items. - Chocolate Croissant: Probably the most recommended item. Made by Godiva, the chocolate cream and bitter chocolate inside were delicious. The chocolate was quite hard, so be careful. The croissant dough was yellow like brioche, which added a nice touch. - Tartine (Salad Chicken): Surprisingly tasty. Topped with chicken, tomato, salad greens, and a light French dressing on a chocolate pie base. The slight sweetness and aroma of the chocolate crust paired well with the savory toppings. - Chocolatier's Curry Bread: Slightly disappointing. The curry inside was mildly spicy, and the outer chocolate bread had a hint of bitterness that felt out of place. - Fluffy Mochi Donut: Also a bit disappointing. The donut seemed to have lost its fluffiness and become greasy over time. It might be better enjoyed freshly fried. There are still more items I'm curious about, so I'll give it another try in the future.

I received a numbered ticket after understanding the system, even if I couldn't come at the specified time, I could still buy without a ticket before 4:30 when sales start. I bought up to 5 items including Corone. However, Godiva, you cost me over 2000 yen. The chocolate is delicious, rich and creamy, but the bread itself is not that great. It's not that good. The chocolate is overshadowed by the dryness of the bread. Well, it's rare so it's worth trying once, for the sake of conversation.

Visited on a regular Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Located on the 1st floor of the Kyobashi exit of JR Yurakucho Station, just across the street, in the same spot where the Osaka Antenna Shop "Osaka Department Store" used to be. I visited after donating blood at the blood donation center on the 6th floor. Godiva, founded in 1926, is a well-known Belgian chocolate maker. In Japan, the first store was opened at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi in 1972. This is the world's first bakery shop created by Godiva. The concept is "Town Bakery meets Godiva", aiming to familiarize customers with Godiva by offering a mix of new and nostalgic bread. On the opening day on August 4, 2023, there were over 200 people lining up before the store opened. Due to the chaos, they started distributing numbered tickets the next day, allowing only ticket holders to enter the store. Even after a month since the opening, it remains very popular, with a need for numbered tickets still in place on the day of my visit. However, entry without a numbered ticket was allowed starting from 4:30 PM. However, some items may have been sold out. Each person with a numbered ticket could purchase up to 5 items, and only one person per ticket was allowed to enter. The store is quite small, with one shelf by the window, and one table and a glass showcase on the wall side. There is no seating area. There are a total of 28 bread varieties, which is relatively few for a bakery. All bread sold here contains cocoa-derived ingredients, as Godiva is the provider. The kitchen inside the store has a low-temperature room and a tempering machine for chocolate. They finish not only baking the bread but also the chocolate and cream inside the store. I purchased two pieces of "Corone (Chocolat)" for 453 yen each, "More Chocolat Seed" for 302 yen, "Chocolatier's Curry Bread" for 453 yen, and "Cacao Fruit Cream Bread" for 378 yen, reaching the limit of 5 items. Each bread was individually wrapped, and the Corone, which needed refrigeration, came with an ice pack. - Corone (Chocolat): A Japanese-born Corone with added essence by Godiva's chocolatier. It is their most popular item. I chose the standard Chocolat flavor, which also comes in Strawberry and Matcha. The cream and brioche dough are made in-store, with a dark chocolate bar inside. The chocolate cream has a rich cocoa aroma and a deep flavor typical of Godiva chocolate. The chocolate bar is quite large and hard, providing a nice crunch. - More Chocolat Seed: Shaped like a cocoa bean, this bread has chocolate chunks inside cocoa-infused dough. It's like an enhanced version of their "Chocolat Seed" with even more chocolate, so be careful as the extra chocolate tends to fall off when eating. It has a perfect level of chocolate flavor and a soft, moist texture. - Chocolatier's Curry Bread: A round baked curry bread with cocoa dough on top instead of fried. The curry filling, with 55% cocoa chocolate, is a unique creation by Godiva. The curry has a rich aroma and spice, while the chocolate provides bitterness, sweetness, and a cocoa aroma. The combination of curry and chocolate is surprisingly harmonious and may appeal to many. - Cacao Fruit Cream Bread: This bread features cacao beans, the raw material for chocolate. The cream inside is made from cacao fruit, and the bread has a unique and delightful flavor.

On Sunday, September 3, 2023, I received a ticket around 9:20 a.m. that allowed me to enter the store between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. I bought a cocoa cake for 378 yen, a chocolate nomi for 302 yen, a chocolatier's curry bread for 453 yen, and an andou chocolat for 378 yen, totaling 1,511 yen. They were all delicious, but more on the sweet side and a bit pricey. Among them, the cocoa cake was particularly delicious.

I was able to visit the shop I was interested in. They started distributing tickets at 9:00, so I lined up in front of the shop at 7:30 and got number 3. People with tickets 1-30 could make purchases between 11:00-11:30, and then purchases were made in 30-minute intervals. Today, ticket distribution for the same day ended at 10:00. Since foreigners also come to this place, I wish I could speak a little more English. If not, I hope they consider putting English translations next to the Japanese signs.

Godiva's bakery is always sold out, but I took advantage of my weekday off to line up before 9 am and get an entry ticket for the 11:30 am opening. With one ticket, you can buy up to 5 items. If you want 6 or more, you need to get another ticket. I passed the time for about 2 hours and went to buy at 11:30 am. This time, I bought a chocolate croissant, chocolate curry bread, chocolate cream bread, and a chocolate sharing bread (chocolate flavor). The cream bread was milk chocolate-based, the croissant was bitter with chunks of chocolate, the sharing bread was also bitter, and the chocolate curry bread had a rich cocoa flavor. Each pastry was elegantly flavored with various types of chocolate typical of Godiva. I hope it becomes easier to buy in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I received a ticket at 9:30 a.m. for a 1:00 p.m. pickup. I bought a fluffy mochi donut (486 yen), torn bread (648 yen), chocolate curry bread (453 yen), cocoa pod (270 yen), and chocolate stick (540 yen). The curry bread is, in my opinion, the most delicious curry bread I've ever had. I think the secret to its deliciousness is probably that it's not fried. Of course, it also has cocoa in it. The fluffy mochi donut is incredibly delicious. It's not filled with cream but has a crunchy cocoa filling inside. It's not greasy like regular donuts and is very tasty. The torn bread is perfect for sharing among four people. The chocolate stick is good for sharing among three people. Personally, I find that the bread with the cooling gel inside the case is much tastier than the bread outside. Even the coronet. If you can only buy up to five items, why not try purchasing all the bread inside the case?

It seems that they distribute numbered tickets starting from 9 am, but I don't have time during weekdays at that hour. However, I heard that you can buy without a ticket from 4:30 pm. So, I lined up from the 3 pm, being the 10th in line, and you can only buy up to 5 items. It's a tough decision, but I made sure to get the curry bread and eliminated other items like the coronet. I bought a paper bag and an eco bag, but when asked which one to use, I was at a loss. I collect points using the GODIVA app, so it's great! ♡

#GodivaPan #GodivaPanMainStore #godivabakeryThe first day was amazing, right? This month? GodivaPan, which just opened recently, is very popular. I got a numbered ticket in the morning around 9 o'clock, and then went back with the ticket at 12:30. Even with the ticket, you can only buy 5 items per person. You can choose 5 items from all the products. My friend said that the atmosphere with the numbered tickets seems to have calmed down a bit. This is the only GodivaPan in Japan, maybe even in the world, so it was a hot topic even before it opened. According to a friend's friend who has already tried almost all the varieties, the Corone is the best. Based on the pre-information that curry bread and cream bread are not that great, I bought 5 items focusing on chocolate-filled Corone and bread with chocolate chips. Well, that's about it. I think it's great for snacks, but it's a bit pricey. I'm grateful to be able to get the popular bread. For those who plan to buy it multiple times, you can install the Godiva app and become a member to get a stamp card. I, on the other hand, think one time is enough. #Want to connect with bread lovers #Bread lover #Bread club #Hot shop #Bakery #Bakery #Breadstagram #panstagram↓more photos↓GODIVA Bakery Godipan Main Store03-6665-7916Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku, Yurakucho 2-10-1 Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan 1Fhttps://tabelog.com/tokyo/A1301/A130102/13286557/

The high price of Godiva bread raises the bar for my rating. Despite my usual reluctance to buy bread or cake due to overindulgence, the unique offerings at Godiva prompted me to join the long line before 9 am. I debated which items to choose, ultimately opting for the spicy curry bread, which had a cocoa-flavored outer dough and a delicious curry filling, making it the best curry bread I've ever had. The Tartine (Dark Chocolate) was pricey but truly delicious, with a crispy pastry crust. I also bought two croissants - Strawberry and Matcha - both filled generously with cream and a surprise Godiva chocolate stick. However, the Cream Bread was disappointing, with a thin outer dough and a cocoa fruit cream filling that lacked volume and flavor. While the Cream Bread needs improvement, the other items deserve a 5-star rating. I would gladly line up again for Godiva bread in the future.

I visited the shop around 10:00 on a holiday, but they were distributing numbered tickets starting at 9:30. I received a ticket for 3:00-3:30, so I came back at 3:00. The shop is located in a corner of the building where the Osaka antenna shop used to be. I purchased the following items: An de Chocolatier's curry bread, choco coronet, and cocoa cream bread. There was a limit of 4 items per person. Starting from August 21st, you can buy up to 5 items. The curry bread had a cocoa curry flavor, with a strong cocoa taste. The cocoa cream bread used cocoa pulp, giving it a refreshing sweetness and acidity instead of the typical chocolate flavor. It's a bakery that fully utilizes cocoa... I would love to try their products again.
