I arrived at around 9pm on Friday without a reservation and was able to enter smoothly. When it comes to Torimero, the draft beer is cheap, so I ordered menu items that go well with beer. The main dishes are mainly chicken, but there are also side dishes with fish, and most importantly, the prices are reasonable, which is a lifesaver for drinkers! I stayed for about an hour, but I was very satisfied with the great cost performance.

I visited Torimero in June 2018. With Torikizoku dominating the industry, other major companies have started to attack the market. It's common in the food and beverage industry for companies to capitalize on successful business models, either by expanding their own stores or by adopting a "TTP" (Thoroughly Take and Copy) approach. This restaurant is part of the Watami group, which initially stood out from traditional chain izakayas with its service and atmosphere. However, as they rapidly expanded, the quality of service seemed to decline. It's a shame, as I remember when Watami first opened and it was great. Torimero seems to be Watami's attempt at redemption. I visited late at night and the place was bustling with customers, even after other restaurants had closed. The variety of yakitori dishes like Tarachan, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, and yakitori platter were enjoyable. While Torimero is a chain izakaya like Torikizoku, the quality seems to be a step above. It makes me wonder if Torikizoku's originality is being recognized, especially with the TTP approach of Tori Jiro. I want to support restaurants that genuinely care about their food and service. I'm grateful that Torimero is open until morning. Thank you.

Four of us went together, and the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I really liked the assorted tsukune skewers. The staff were friendly, and the seating was spaced out nicely so we could relax and enjoy our drinks. Beer was 199 yen and highballs were 55 yen, so even though we drank quite a bit, we only spent a little over 2,000 yen each. I will definitely come back for another girls' night out!

Asahi beer for 199 yen and highballs for only 39 yen until 9 pm! Amazing prices! The food is also cheap and great! The assorted tsukune skewers were all delicious and satisfying.

After returning from the public bath, I decided to have a solo izakaya experience at a chain restaurant. It had been years since I last visited a Watami chain. The beer was surprisingly cheap and made me smile. The salted cabbage and salted kombu appetizer was simple but enjoyable. I ordered seared spicy cod roe and stingray fin. The spicy cod roe was okay considering the low price. The stingray fin was very safe and enjoyable, especially when grilled on the charcoal grill. I also added grilled chicken skewers, tamagoyaki, enoki mushroom skewers, and whole garlic cloves. The grilled chicken skewers with leeks and skin were a good side dish, especially the thickly grilled ones with a flavorful broth. The enoki mushrooms were delicious no matter how they were cooked. The garlic cloves were okay. For the finale, I had tenderloin with wasabi, thigh meat, and a hot pot of meat. The tenderloin was quite tasty. The hot pot was not to my liking due to the broth, but I couldn't resist indulging in it after drinking. Some people may have reservations about Watami chain restaurants, but this one was a cheap and enjoyable option.

(・_・)Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] This is "San-daime Torimero" (Third Generation Bird Melody). It used to be "Watamin-ya." Grand opening on August 25th! Well, more like a renewal open, I guess? Well, it's basically just changing the signboard, but since the content has also changed, I'd say it's a grand opening. Recently, there have been various things happening with the Watami Group, so I thought it might be a desperate measure, but surprisingly, it's well done. The new business style of the Watami Group is not just this, they have also started to expand with a new izakaya called "Mirai-zaka." I have only used "San-daime Torimero" so far, so I can't evaluate the entire group, but I think there is a high possibility of improving performance with this. However, it's clear that they don't have enough staff (^^;) I didn't feel it at the Gakugeidaigaku Nishiguchi store where I last visited, but at the Hatagaya store I visited this time, it was definitely understaffed. The attitude of the staff in handling customers was impeccable, but being left alone for 10 minutes after being seated at a chain izakaya is tough. They started taking orders fairly quickly, but since we weren't given oshibori (wet towels) at first, it was sudden (^^;) Anyway, this is a point that needs improvement. Due to the large size, it only adds to the anxiety when there are not enough staff. Later, the staff increased and the supply became more stable, but the previous neglect resulted in a series of small mistakes. Well, since everyone is still not used to it, it's somewhat understandable. So, it's not at a level where it's unforgivable, considering that they have the basics of customer service. Therefore, I think that this issue will be resolved over time. This time, unlike last time, I decided to actively order the specialties. First, I started with the "Torimero Highball" for 299 yen and the "Seiryu Wakadori no Momo Ippon-yaki" for 999 yen. The "Torimero Highball" with blood orange and tomato was good. In comparison, the "Super Dry EX Cold" for 299 yen is not recommended. Since the "Nama Draft Super Dry" is 199 yen, you might feel like you're losing out in terms of quantity (^^;) The "Seiryu Wakadori no Momo Ippon-yaki" is definitely worth recommending. However, it took quite a bit of time to be served, so you'll need some snacks while waiting. So, I decided to order the "Nanohana Kushiyaki," which is recommended by the restaurant. It consisted of lotus root for 120 yen, nagaimo for 100 yen, stuffed shiitake mushroom for 150 yen, and maitake mushroom for 100 yen. I ordered 2 of each, but it also took time to be served (^^;) By the time we finished the o-toshi (appetizer), we were left empty, so it seems necessary to order 1-2 quick menu items in advance. However, the taste was quite good, especially the sauce. The sizes were quite different, but overall, it balanced out. This "San-daime Torimero" is outstanding in terms of affordability. It's quite impressive to have all this food and drink for less than 4000 yen. Considering that, the effort put into the "Seiryu Wakadori no Momo Ippon-yaki" is evident. I also felt the determination in cutting it in front of the customers. Helped by the secret plump sauce, the taste was quite good.
