The small size made me eat them up quickly! And for some reason, they were addictive and I couldn't stop eating... There were various unique options, but the classic Chao Chao dumplings were the most delicious. It's a great place to grab a quick bite or to relax and enjoy a drink.

I went all the way to Tokyo just to visit "Naniwa" (laughs). After doing a run around the Imperial Palace with a friend, we decided to have a drink in Yurakucho. Every place we went to was packed by 6 PM. We happened to find a restaurant with some empty seats, and it turned out to be "Naniwa". I'm not sure if it's the location or the menu, but about half of the customers were foreigners.

Tonight, I went to "Chao Chao Gyoza" in Hibiya! It was packed even at 8:30 on a weekday, showing how popular it is. They have 4-seat tables for 4 people and a counter that can seat about 8 people. I started with the great value casual set for 1310 yen, which includes a drink, appetizer, and 2 bite-sized gyoza. I chose quail eggs for the appetizer, which was consistently delicious. The bite-sized gyoza had a thin skin with lots of vegetables in the filling, making it light and tasty. They were expertly cooked to a crispy finish, and the wings were also crispy and delicious! I also tried the fried chicken (2 pieces for 300 yen) and spring rolls (2 pieces for 350 yen), both freshly fried and flavorful, perfect with drinks! I also enjoyed some unique gyoza varieties, ranging from 300 to 450 yen for 3 pieces. I ordered: - Chicken cheese gyoza: With mayonnaise, a peppery kick, and rich cheese, it was a favorite! - Plum shiso gyoza: Refreshing and not too sour, best eaten without any sauce. - Custom gyoza: Topped with sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and green onions, this was the most flavorful gyoza. - Shrimp gyoza: The plump shrimp added sweetness, and dipping them in salt brought out the flavors, but be careful not to overdo it! Lastly, they surprised us with complimentary soup to finish, with large bonito flakes and a rich clam broth that was very comforting. It's rare to find such reasonable prices in Hibiya, making it a great place to relax and enjoy drinks. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

During the daytime on a holiday, I took a leisurely stroll towards Yurakucho area. The streets were starting to get lively again, and everywhere was crowded. Suddenly, I felt like eating gyoza, so I decided to visit this restaurant. Until 7 pm, they had a Happy Hour where Asahi draft beer was only 290 yen per glass, so I couldn't resist ordering one. I had gyoza and beer in the middle of the day on a holiday, and it made me happy. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and the staff were busy preparing takeaway gyoza orders one after another. It was cheap, delicious, and I left feeling satisfied.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, intrigued by their "jinmen" (human-faced) ramen. The owner apparently knows someone who helped make this unique menu item possible. They only offer this one ramen option, with various toppings available. I watched as they cooked the noodles in a small pot that could barely fit two servings, while warming the soup in another small pot. The ramen is advertised as a "soy sauce ramen with a hint of bonito, without using pork bones or chicken bones," but I didn't find the bonito flavor to be very strong. The soup had a subtle sweetness and a slightly different oiliness compared to typical ramen. The noodles were chewy and medium-thick. The chashu was quite different from what I expected, and personally, I prefer the chashu at the other restaurant. However, as I was leaving, I found out that they are now operating under a new name, "Jinmen," as a separate genre from "Jinrui Minna Menrui" (All Humans Are Noodles).

It might be a good idea to be careful as ice from the kitchen's icebox jumped onto the counter. The ramen was delicious. The female staff's voice was pleasant to the ears, providing great customer service. I want to visit this restaurant again. Good service from the staff.

While wandering as a lunch nomad, I came across a sign that caught my attention! It said that in Kansai, there is a very popular soy sauce ramen that does not use pork bones or chicken bones, but instead has a bonito flavor. It comes in a set with fried chicken and gyoza for only 800 yen, which is quite reasonable for the Hibiya area. I think there was a gyoza restaurant called Gyoza Chao Chao here before, right? What is this? Is it a limited-time collaboration? Jinmen? What is that? Anyway, this amazing set with noodles, rice, and side dishes is a must-try! The ramen had a slightly sweet taste to the soup. While it didn't have the taste of animal products, it was quite oily. I wonder what kind of oil they used. The chashu pork slices were thin in this set, unlike the thick slices at Jinmen. Perhaps it's a limited edition collaboration product? Mysterious!! However, the price is great! I might have to go back again!

This is a gyoza izakaya along the elevated tracks in Hibiya. Their specialty is the thin-skinned gyoza, and while they don't offer lunch set menus, they provide a variety of handmade gyoza options along with a decent selection of izakaya dishes. I ordered the pork belly gyoza, which are bite-sized, easy to eat, with a crispy thin skin and juicy filling, very delicious. If you're looking to enjoy gyoza with a beer, this place is recommended for you, although it might be a bit light if you're looking for a hearty meal.

During the state of emergency, alcohol was available until 7:00 PM, but thanks to happy hour, we were able to enjoy it quite affordably until 8:00 PM! Highballs for 99 yen! The food prices are reasonable, and the dishes are crispy and flavorful, which goes well with the drinks. However, when I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken and it came without green onions, I asked about it and was told they were out of stock! It would have been nice if they had mentioned it when I ordered. Other than that, the service was good. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy and delicious.

I entered a restaurant that specializes in dumplings. Even though I arrived after 7 pm, the draft beer was only 300 yen. I ordered the recommended Chao Chao dumplings for 600 yen (1 serving) and a set of 5 different dumplings for 750 yen. The dipping sauces available were vinegar soy sauce, chili oil, and miso. The Chao Chao dumplings were small and flavorful, arranged in a row of 6. The shrimp dumplings from the set were delicious when eaten with salt as recommended. The portion size was a bit small compared to other restaurants, so the cost performance was slightly lower.

In the evening on a regular day, I casually stopped by this restaurant located in the Corridor Street in Ginza. It's a place where you can eat quickly and affordably. I had been there before and around 7 o'clock, there was only one group of customers. After that, a few more customers came in. I ordered pork belly dumplings and a mandarin sour drink. There were many types of sours to choose from, and they were all delicious. I think the regular dumplings were tastier than the pork belly dumplings. The best dish I tried for the first time was the fried chicken cheese dumplings. The beef stew was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. I had a light meal and it cost around 2,000 yen. It's a great place for a casual drink!

While walking down the street, I stumbled upon a dumpling shop and decided to check it out. I was surprised by how cheap the prices were! They offered a variety of dumplings in a set of 5 kinds, 2 pieces each, for 750 yen. It was nice to be able to try a little bit of everything. I also tried the "Chao Chao Dumplings" for 320 yen, which were small and had a crispy edge. They were flavorful even when eaten as is. I also tried the "Apple Pie Flavored Dumplings & Vanilla Ice Cream" for 390 yen, which had a slightly crunchy texture from the apple wrapped in dumpling skin. I also had a black oolong tea for 290 yen. The menu had pictures and was available in multiple languages. They accepted credit cards, offered d-point rewards, and had Wi-Fi. I was a bit skeptical of the low prices, but the dumplings were surprisingly delicious. The customers were mostly foreigners.

This gyoza specialty restaurant, which has stores not only in Japan but also overseas, seems to have many locations in the Kansai region, with a focus on the Tokyo area. When I visited, I found that the staff's service was generally not very good, and the fact that smoking is allowed in all seats could be bothersome for some people. They offer a set called "casual set" for 1200 yen excluding tax, which includes 2 servings of gyoza sticks (8 pieces each), a draft beer, and a choice of one side dish. I chose the vinegar miso for the side dish. The draft beer was 480 yen, one serving of gyoza was 600 yen, and the vinegar miso was 350 yen. So, the set is indeed a good deal. The gyoza surprisingly doesn't have much volume. You can easily eat one piece in one bite. I would say 2 servings go well with 1 to 1.5 beers. In terms of cost performance, places like Osho may be better at 600 yen for gyoza. The gyoza is soft. The wrapping is sweet, so it easily falls apart, but the thin skin doesn't make you feel too full. Also, the filling is soft. It's okay to eat it as it is, but it might be tastier with the miso or sauce on the table. The sauce with added spices is probably the best.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure by my doctor, so I need to be careful about my diet. It's difficult to control salt intake when eating out. So, I decided to experiment with reducing salt intake while eating out. If I order mori soba, I can control the amount of salt by dipping it in the sauce. Similarly, with gyoza and shumai, I can control the salt by dipping them in the sauce. Since I recently had soba, I decided to have gyoza today. I ordered gyoza at Chao Chao Gyoza near my office. It was quite empty, maybe because I went at a different time. As I watched the kitchen, they started frying something in the fryer. That customer over there probably ordered the fried chicken set. After a short wait, the gyoza arrived. Oh? I thought I ordered a set where you can choose two types of gyoza, but it came with two pieces of fried chicken! They were frying them. Well, it can't be helped. I was planning to eat the gyoza with vinegar and pepper, but they had vinegar soy sauce on the table. They did an unnecessary thing (laughs). I dipped the gyoza in a little bit of vinegar soy sauce and ate it. It was delicious. This is good enough. Everyone is too used to strong flavors. The miso soup that came with it was light in flavor, which was good. I felt bad leaving both pieces of fried chicken, so I ate one. Next time, I'll make sure to say in advance that I don't need fried chicken. Back at the office, I finished with roasted barley tea (laughs).

[Date] Visited on a weekday at 1 pm by myself. [Reservation] Not needed. Entered the restaurant without waiting. There were about 2 groups of customers before me. [Location] Excellent access, about a 3-minute walk from Yurakucho Station. Also within walking distance from Shinbashi Station. [Interior] Tables and counter seating available. [Order] Cheers with a highball! A wide selection of alcoholic beverages, recommended for daytime drinking. - Chao Chao Gyoza: The skin is thin and crispy, with wings attached. The filling is juicy and meaty, with a strong garlic flavor, making it a great appetizer. It's small-sized, so even two portions seem easy to finish. Thank you for the meal! [Service] Prompt and friendly service. [Final thoughts] Crispy skin and juicy filling! The Chao Chao Gyoza, which can be eaten like a snack, is recommended!

I wanted to have lunch but also wanted to have a light beer, so I wandered around Yurakucho. I was intrigued by the lunch menu and decided to visit. I had gyoza, karaage, and shumai. I can't remember the price, but the beer was discounted during lunchtime. The gyoza was decently delicious, perfect as a beer snack. When I want to have a light drink with gyoza, I usually go for Hidakaya, but this place offers unlimited rice, so it's better when you're really hungry. I didn't want to overstay, so I quickly drank, ate, and left. It was more convenient than I expected! I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I want to eat gyoza like snacks, trying out different flavors. It's difficult to do this when going out with friends as I usually eat alone. If I had known I could order half sizes, I would have tried the gyoza challenge. Happy hour is until 7 pm with 300 yen gyoza, but I don't drink so it doesn't matter. I ordered black oolong tea and started the gyoza battle. The Chao Chao gyoza half seems to be a popular menu item, crispy and small so you can eat two at a time without feeling full. The filling is basic with a hint of shiso flavor. The ponzu sauce is refreshing with a slight thickness. The shiso flavor is not too strong. The chicken cheese half goes well with miso sauce, the chicken flavor is subtle, and eating with salted lemon is a new experience. The Kujo green onion half had a decent amount of green onion, but it would have been better if it was more crunchy. The cream sauce half was the least favorite, the creamy sauce overpowered the taste, but it matched well with chili oil. Eating only gyoza made me really full. The one-bite gyoza is easy to eat like snacks. The half size option is great. I wish there was a bit more filling in the gyoza.

I went to a restaurant where you can enjoy various types of dumplings. I ordered a Chao Sour, which is a lemon sour with amino acid, but there was one ingredient I couldn't figure out. The dumplings were delicious, especially the cream dumplings. There were various sauces available such as vinegar soy sauce, chili oil, miso with chili, and miso sauce. When I asked the staff, they also gave me vinegar and pepper.

It was delicious! The Chaohao Gyoza? The original stick-shaped gyoza was the most delicious. The others were tasty too, but the portions were small so they didn't leave a strong impression (lol). With Chaohao Gyoza, you can definitely eat more than one plate by yourself (it's smaller than you think), so I recommend ordering 3 plates as soon as you arrive.

03/14☆I'm glad they had the option of ordering half and half dumplings at Chao Chao Gyoza. The portion size looked sufficient in the photos. Even for someone like me who eats lightly, it seems like I could finish it.
