It's my first visit in 1 year and 10 months. I visited during lunchtime. At this restaurant, orders are taken using a tablet. The basic lunch set is meatball soba with a soft drink for 850 yen. You can choose from fresh noodles with a crispy finish, steamed noodles with a soft finish, udon, or spicy noodles. I chose fresh noodles and added squid tempura (200 yen) as a topping. The taste is standard for Hiroshima okonomiyaki, so it is delicious. The crispy texture is just right, not too hard. The cabbage seemed to lack a bit of sweetness.

The restaurant opens at 11:30 and by 11:45 it's already full. Waiting on the emergency stairs for a table takes quite a long time (lol). If you're a bit late, you'll end up on the emergency stairs. If you can't get in on the first round, you'll have to wait a while. The order of the okonomiyaki is based on the order received. The order is placed using a tablet at the table. They have a 500 yen coin menu which includes pork belly, beef mince, and chicken options, each with a choice of steamed noodles, crispy noodles, udon, or spicy noodles. I ordered the usual pork with spicy noodles, and added a fried egg for an extra 110 yen. The total came to 610 yen for the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki lunch. I wanted to do takeout as well, but they seemed too busy to accommodate, so I gave up. They were churning out dozens of okonomiyaki right in front of me...why are they running this campaign? As a customer, it's appreciated, but why? I tried it on a Thursday and when the okonomiyaki arrived, I noticed it seemed smaller than usual. It's missing the drink service, which I don't know if it's just on Thursdays or a permanent change. It felt disappointingly small compared to what I'm used to. I normally eat a 1/6 cut, but today's was a 1/4 cut. I could have easily eaten one more piece, but I felt bad for the people waiting, so I stopped. The taste was good, but reducing the size for 500 yen doesn't make sense. The restaurant was crowded and the staff seemed overwhelmed, I secretly thought they should just stop if they can't handle it (lol). I paid with PayPay and left. Thank you for the meal, I like the taste, but a small Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is not really Hiroshima-style. But it's good that it's affordable and more people can enjoy it. Keep up the good work in cooking! (lol)

I went to Shinbashi to eat Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki for the first time in a while. The restaurant was filled with Hiroshima vibes, with everything themed around the Carp baseball team. It was bustling with salarymen. It was nice to see the okonomiyaki being cooked right in front of you on the hot plate. No matter which one you order, the okonomiyaki was delicious! You could choose from regular noodles, spicy noodles, or udon.

A shop in Shinbashi where you can enjoy authentic Hiroshima okonomiyaki. It is a famous restaurant in the area where people from the industry and various famous figures visit. The "Chinchikurin-yaki," which is also the name of the restaurant, is a must-eat menu! In addition to the classic topping of fried egg with an accent of large leaf, there are many creative Hiroshima okonomiyaki dishes, so it's best to go with 3-4 people with an empty stomach. There are also some Hiroshima local dishes, making you feel the love for Hiroshima in the restaurant. The lunch menu also seemed reasonable, so I would like to visit when the timing is right next time.

【Revenge in Hiroshima】Had a solo lunch at a client's place. Missed out on eating okonomiyaki during my last business trip to Hiroshima, so it's time for revenge! And to my surprise, I found a chain restaurant called "Chinchikurin" in Hiroshima offering a lunch set with pork okonomiyaki and a soft drink for only 850 yen! This price is not uncommon even in front of Hiroshima Station, right? The taste was, of course, delicious. Just watching them cook at the counter was so soothing. When I start missing Hiroshima again, I will definitely come back. Thanks for the meal!

I suddenly became worried if it's okay to offer all-you-can-drink with such a great deal at a place so close to the station?! Originally, I was planning to go to a highly rated okonomiyaki restaurant a little further away, but I saw a sign for Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki on the roadside after leaving the station. I thought, why not try somewhere new, and decided to change my plans and visit the restaurant. They had a really great deal on their courses! Even though it was past the reservation time, the staff kindly allowed us to make a reservation, so I was already in a good mood from the start. The food that came out was delicious, the drinks were brought to us promptly, and the staff were friendly and provided great service! Despite being so close to the station, the restaurant had a humble attitude and offered great value for money. It made me realize that sometimes you can't always trust the reviews on food websites. The only thing that might make people who have had a lot of authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki question it is the last dish, the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki itself. Maybe if they steamed it a bit more and made the cabbage softer, it would be perfect. A little bit of effort could greatly improve their ratings, but at the same time, I hope they don't get too popular and crowded. I will definitely visit again!

The round iron plate at the conclusion is surprising at first. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is delicious, with crispy noodles that are truly Hiroshima-style. There are also oysters, allowing you to fully enjoy Hiroshima. Overall, it was a great experience for a long-awaited drinking party. The restaurant was a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki place with walls painted in Carp colors. The most surprising thing was the round iron plate. The okonomiyaki we ordered was all delicious, with crispy and fragrant noodles. Both the oyster okonomiyaki and hormone okonomiyaki were tasty, making me want to bring someone from Hiroshima next time.

Today I felt like having okonomiyaki, especially the soba-style Hiroshima okonomiyaki. I headed to Kuremori-guchi aiming for Hiroshima okonomiyaki. It's located close to the entrance of the shopping street, on the 3rd floor of a building. With a drink included, it cost 850 yen, which is reasonable. I decided to add extra pork. The counter in front of the teppan grill was warm and welcoming. The hot okonomiyaki arrived. It's been a while since I had Hiroshima-style, and I still love it. It definitely makes me crave a beer as well...

I have been to this place several times before. It is located on the third floor of a mixed-use building near the entrance of Shinbashi Nishi Shopping Street. This place is part of the PayPay Minato Ward campaign, where you can enjoy lunch with okonomiyaki for 850 yen. They serve drinks generously in large mugs. Ordering is done through a touch screen iPad. For lunch, there is only one option, but you can choose from four types of noodles: crispy, steamed, spicy chili, or udon. There are 11 drink options to choose from, and you can also select toppings for your okonomiyaki, although the default toppings are already sufficient. The okonomiyaki is cooked right in front of you at the counter and served on a hot plate at your table. You can add mayonnaise and additional sauce to your liking. I personally recommend the spicy chili noodles, as they add a nice kick to the dish. The crispy noodles also have a great texture and taste. For 850 yen, the quality and quantity of food at this Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki place is probably the best in the area. It's one of my favorite places to eat okonomiyaki. Additionally, there are autographs and messages from former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and current Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who visited the restaurant when they were still members of the political council.

I finished some business at Shimbashi Station Uchimaru Exit and decided to have lunch at a okonomiyaki restaurant called Chinchikurin on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building. I sat at a teppanyaki table and used the tablet menu to order the okonomiyaki lunch set (with a drink) for 850 yen including tax, and added rice for 150 yen including tax. I chose the softer noodles option, although there were also udon and firm noodles available. The background music playing was a mix of TV show tunes and 90s enka songs, and the majority of the customers were women. The okonomiyaki was ready in about 7 minutes. I customized it with lots of mayo, Otafuku sauce, and shichimi spice before digging in. The sweet, thick sauce mixed with mayo made it hard to distinguish the flavors of the ingredients, but it was delicious. I ended up with a carb overload by putting the okonomiyaki on top of the rice. It would have been nice to have some pickles on the side, but they were not included with the lunch set. Thank you for the meal. I paid with Rpay. There were many posters of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp inside the restaurant.

Chinchikurin, a familiar spot in Hiroshima. It was my first time visiting in Tokyo, and it was packed. The gans, konne, and teppanyaki were all delicious. The hormone dish was especially tasty. I prefer konne with a bit more fat. The okonomiyaki was a bit pricey compared to Hiroshima, but the menu was similar. The taste was not bad. It was nice that they were quietly streaming the Carp game.

Introducing Chinchikurin Shinbashi Honten, where you can enjoy authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and also watch the Carp game in Tokyo! This is a long-established okonomiyaki restaurant with many branches in Hiroshima, and now you can enjoy their delicious dishes in Tokyo as well. One of the unique items you can try here is the "Akahel Yaki," as well as the collaboration dish with Hiroshima's famous soupless tantanmen restaurant Kunimatsu, called the "Banzai Sansho Shibire Yaki." We tried this dish, which combines tantanmen sauce with okonomiyaki and sprinkled with Sansho pepper, creating a unique and addictive flavor.

I was looking for okonomiyaki and had visited this place before, but I didn't remember much about it, so I decided to visit again. The reservation process was smooth and the staff was very friendly. I came here specifically for okonomiyaki and oysters since it's in Hiroshima. The okonomiyaki here is delicious with udon, so I always order it with udon. The oyster okonomiyaki menu looked delicious too, making it an ideal okonomiyaki restaurant. I also ordered uni horumon, which added to the Hiroshima atmosphere. The dishes I ordered were Oyster Festival: Yaki Soba, Chinchikurin Yaki: Udon with a fried egg topping, Uni Horumon, Potato Salad, and Shio Kombu Cabbage. All the dishes were delicious, and it was a fun place to drink as they cook in front of you. I will definitely come back when I crave it again! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

@k2s.chinchikurin ✨I decided to visit a restaurant that I had checked out before when I couldn't finish the Shinbashi lunch crawl. The lunch set is ¥850!! And it comes with a drink! The price is so attractive for a lunch set!! I had to go there. It was a counter seat, and the efficiency of making the okonomiyaki right in front of me was really good! The restaurant had a Hiroshima Carp theme, with red as the main color. The okonomiyaki was finally ready and it looked delicious with sauce and seaweed on top. Despite the generous amount of cabbage, it cooked quite quickly and was served piping hot!! The cabbage was so sweet and well-cooked. The thin noodles in the okonomiyaki were a perfect match with the batter and cabbage. They use a lot of cabbage, so you can enjoy it without feeling too guilty even if you're on a diet (individual differences may apply). However, I always think "Don't you have white rice?" haha. Thank you for the meal.

It has been 8 months since my last visit. It seems that Chin-Chukurin's Tokyo store has been reduced to just this one in Shinbashi during the period of Corona. There is another store in the Ion Mall in Kawaguchi in the Kanto region. I visited during lunchtime and had the Okonomiyaki with soba noodles, pork, and squid tempura lunch set. It comes with a soft drink for 1000 yen. You can choose from fresh noodles (crispy finish), steamed noodles (soft finish), spicy noodles, or udon. Today, I debated between spicy noodles, but I wanted to try the crispy noodles after a long time, so I chose fresh noodles. They use noodles from Isono Seimen, boil them, shape them on the griddle, and finish them crispy with oil. When I tried it, the cabbage was too sweet and not very tasty, but the noodles and squid tempura were delicious. Personally, I would prefer the cabbage to be cooked a bit more carefully at this time of year.

Recently, I have been struggling with a difficult work-related issue, and it's been affecting my appetite. I find it hard to eat when my mind is preoccupied with work. I know I can be sensitive at times, but it's not easy to shake off this feeling. I envy those with an optimistic outlook. So, I decided to boost my spirits with my favorite Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at Chin-Chakurin in Shinbashi. As I climbed the stairs and entered the restaurant, I noticed several customers inside. I proceeded to the counter, where each seat was separated by acrylic panels for safety measures. I ordered my okonomiyaki with steamed noodles using a tablet and opted for Oolong tea as my drink. While waiting, more customers continued to arrive. Soon, my okonomiyaki arrived, looking delicious as always. I eagerly cut into it with a spatula. The cabbage was so tasty! The timing was perfect for cabbage season, and the steaming was just right. I devoured it eagerly, adding more okonomiyaki sauce for extra flavor. Before I knew it, I had finished every last bite. Perhaps I should have ordered double noodles (laughs). Thanks to the okonomiyaki, my appetite returned, and I returned to the office in a good mood. I was able to solve the work issue that had been troubling me with a simple idea. Okonomiyaki works wonders indeed.

It's been 2 years and 3 months since my last visit, and I was surprised by how long it had been. I visited during lunchtime and had the okonomiyaki set with fresh noodles topped with squid tempura. The set included soba, meatball, squid tempura, and a soft drink for 1000 yen. The noodles were made by Isano Seimen and boiled on the spot, then cooked on the hot plate with oil until crispy. I usually like crispy noodles, but I felt that the flavor of the noodles was somewhat diminished. However, the sweetness of the cabbage was brought out well, which I appreciated.

Located just a 1-2 minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station (Ueno Exit), Hiroshima Dasshutsu Teppan Sakaba is a popular izakaya that serves delicious Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. I visited with two friends on a weeknight, making a reservation (by phone about 20 minutes before our visit). We took the elevator up to the 3rd floor and were greeted by the entrance to the restaurant. I enjoyed a highball while we ordered the Pork Tamago Soba Okonomiyaki (double size) for 1200 yen (excluding tax) and a variety of other izakaya dishes a la carte, including Renkon Butter Soy Grilled (580 yen excluding tax), Squid Legs Karaage, Hormone Yaki (980 yen excluding tax), Hot Fried Small Sardines in Nanban Style (590 yen excluding tax), and Creamy Mentaiko Cheese Omelette (650 yen excluding tax). Every dish was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Thanks to our company's shift to mostly remote work, I only have to go to the office in Yurakucho about once a month now. It's always a challenge to decide where to have lunch on those rare occasions. Today, I decided to try Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at Chin-Chikurin in Shinbashi, since it's something I can't easily have at home. The restaurant was moderately busy, with a few customers at the counter and several groups in the tatami area. After having my temperature checked and sanitizing my hands with alcohol, I took a seat at the counter. I was hungry, so I debated between ordering a double portion of noodles or sticking with a single. I ended up choosing the single portion of boiled noodles. I placed my okonomiyaki order using an iPad and was served a cup of oolong tea. I watched the manager cook the okonomiyaki in front of me across the counter. I remembered seeing a okonomiyaki competition on TV the other day, where they lost with a score of 88 (applause). My okonomiyaki arrived, and it looked smaller than I expected. But it tasted just as I had hoped. It's true that as someone from Hiroshima, I need to regularly consume okonomiyaki. I wish I could come here more often. I tried the "spicy sauce" that I had been curious about, and it added a different flavor with a hint of acidity. I finished my meal and thought I should have ordered the double portion of noodles. Oh well, I'll remember that for next time. I may not be able to come back often, but I hope the restaurant continues to do well.

Located in a mixed-use building not far from Ueno exit of Shimbashi Station, this shop is entered by taking the elevator from the bright side. The interior is small and somewhat challenging due to the slanted walls of the building. Despite being a weekday night, the shop was not crowded, possibly due to shortened operating hours. I ordered the grilled cheese and cod roe okonomiyaki using a tablet. Since I sat at the counter, I could see it being cooked right in front of me. It was then transferred to a hot plate in front of me for serving. The flavor of the cod roe was not very strong, making it taste like a normal Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.
