Located in the food court on the basement floor of Yurakucho Station's ItoCiA Marui, this Taiwanese tapioca shop offers milk tea with tapioca as an option. Personally, I prefer the milk tea without tapioca as it is quite filling. You can customize the sweetness level and whether you want ice or not. While there is seating available, the space is limited, so this shop is mainly for takeout. It seems that the tapioca boom has passed, as it is not as crowded recently, making it easy to grab a quick drink.

It's been a while since I visited. I ordered a mango frappe and an Earl Grey frappe, both of which were delicious! They were quite generous in size, so it's better to drink them in a warm place. Perfect for summer! There were many other tempting options on the menu, so it was hard to choose.

There is a tapioca drink shop in Itoshia, located conveniently in the underground of the station. I stopped by for a sugar boost after shopping. I ordered the classic milk tea with tapioca topping, but the menu was so extensive that I want to try a different menu next time.

This is my third time trying tapioca drinks! I've been wanting to try the bonsai tea from Jiarei for years. It was Assam-based black tea with cocoa cookies crushed into powder and topped with mint. I ordered it unsweetened with black sugar tapioca and less ice, but it was still quite sweet. I usually don't like the spiciness of Assam tea, but this one was surprisingly easy to drink and delicious.

There are only 3 counter seats available in the Marui underground store, so you can also eat in. The frozen tea drink was cold, not too sweet, creamy, and delicious without making you thirsty. The kitchen where the staff makes the drinks is nearby, so it seems like it would be more relaxing to take out, but it's hot outside and the space is small with direct access to the subway, so if there are seats available, it's cooler to eat in.

I haven't tried it yet. The staff is friendly and always smiling. If there were seats, I would stay longer. The best thing about Jia Lei is the tapioca with the spread of the sweetness of brown sugar. Despite being a small shop, it's always crowded because the tapioca is delicious.

The underground food court "Itosia Food Avenue" in Yurakucho Itosia, Tokyo, gives off the impression of having a subtly diverse selection of international eateries. One of the establishments, a tea specialist called "Kamon Port THE ALLEY," offers Taiwan's famous Tapioca Milk Tea. The seating area is limited and cramped, so it's recommended to take your order to-go and enjoy it outside. The menu includes milk tea, straight tea, milk lattes, with options to add toppings like tapioca pearls or nata de coco. The signature item is the Tapioca Milk Tea. I ordered a medium-sized cold milk tea without tapioca for 486 yen. Even without tapioca, the milk tea was delicious. It had a slightly ethnic flavor but was still suitable for Japanese taste buds. The balance of flavors is excellent, but the high prices may be a drawback.

First time trying Jiarei. The eat-in area is small, so many people are seen drinking their drinks on benches outside. I ordered the Cheese Cream Maple Milk Tea in size M with ice. It's taking a while for a small store with only 3 staff members. Although it's a tapioca shop, I ended up ordering a menu without tapioca. The drink has a rich cheese cream with three-color jelly, white peach oolong, and maple for a new texture. I don't dislike it, but it's not something I would want to drink regularly. Jiarei originated in Taiwan but is expanding rapidly in central Tokyo. Of course, there are no stores in Chiba.

You can enjoy a stable and delicious tapioca milk tea at this shop. The brown sugar tapioca milk tea has a strong brown sugar flavor, which is delicious. When I tried the mild hot version, it was not too hot and had a comforting taste. The seasonal fruit teas also look very delicious. The staff work efficiently, so even if there is a line, you don't have to wait too long. There are only about 3 high chair seats at the end of the shop, so it might be a bit difficult to relax and enjoy your drink inside. It might be better to take it out and find somewhere to relax while drinking.

This time, Piyopiyo visited "Gelaei Yurakucho Store," located about a 1-minute walk from Yurakucho Station. The store is on the basement floor of ItoCiA, so you take the escalator down. Be careful not to trip. The shop seems to be mainly for takeout, with a few chairs placed near the wall but not very comfortable. Maybe I'll go drink at Tokyo International Forum nearby? Visit time: 17:00, Wait time: 5 minutes. Ordered item: Sweet Veggie Milk Tea - Pumpkin & Carrot. Piyopiyo Note: You can enjoy various seasonal tapioca milk teas. The Sweet Veggie Milk Tea this time is a hot drink without tapioca. The tapioca is chewy and sweet. Thank you, Gelaei Yurakucho Store.

Thank you every time. I only drink Alley's tapioca. I love it so much that I have no interest in anything else. How many cups of brown sugar tapioca have you had? I want to conquer Alley nationwide. Thank you always.

I had 'THE ALLEY Assam Tapioca Milk Tea (sweetness: normal)' which I had been curious about for a while. I thought the shop would be crowded, but I was able to order smoothly on this day. I chose normal sweetness. The sweetness was gentle and had a refreshing taste. It was delicious with the deep aroma of Assam tea. The tapioca was chewy, with a subtle taste of black sugar, but not too strong. Honestly, I wasn't as impressed as I expected from a popular shop. Thank you for the meal.

On June 1st, 2020, I revisited Marui Yurakucho, which reopened on this day! Since the parking lot is the same, I decided to stop by after shopping (●´ω`●). I thought I had drunk too much tapioca drink before and got tired of it, but recently when I tried it again after a long time, it was delicious, and I got hooked. Whenever I find a tapioca shop, I end up stopping by. There was only one customer ahead of me, so I was able to order quickly ♡ Green Tea Tapioca Milk Tea M size 500 yen (excluding tax) Tapioca double portion 50 yen (excluding tax) Slightly sweet, no ice This is my favorite at Giarei! I have tried the slightly sweet version before, but the taste of the tea is properly enjoyed and it is still delicious ♡ I can feel the dedication to the tea leaves. The container is cute too, and it was a soothing experience after a long time (*´◒`*). I was very satisfied to be able to buy it immediately without waiting in line and enjoy the delicious taste! When you drink it after a long time, you might become addicted again. It's still quiet during weekdays in the daytime, but I hope it will become lively again soon! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal (*≧∀≦*)

On Friday at 9pm, I was looking for Shime Tapi and surprisingly, there was no one in the eat-in area where you can drink it on the spot! Many people were hanging out near the station and drinking. I was able to buy Iron Kannon Mild Low-Sugar for 540 yen without waiting at all. The restaurant has a rating of 3.28 on Tabelog (as of February 2020).

The tea was delicious and had a nice flavor. Unlike other tapioca specialty shops which tend to be very sweet, the sweetness here was just right. You could taste the flavor of the tea leaves properly. The tapioca pearls were small and chewy, with a smooth surface.

During my work break, I decided to take a walk and miraculously found no line at the bubble tea shop! There were many options, but since it was my first time, I chose the brown sugar tapioca for ¥702 after looking at the photos. I opted for the mild hot (65°C) temperature, another first for me. The indoor seating was all taken, so I enjoyed my drink on a bench just outside the shop. I noticed a few people drinking Starbucks or Seven Eleven beverages nearby. It was a convenient spot to shield myself from the rain and wind. At first, it was a bit challenging to drink the hot tapioca, but as it cooled down, it became more enjoyable. I had never seen warm tapioca drinks in Taiwan (it's always hot there, so warm drinks aren't popular), so it felt fresh. It wasn't as sweet as I feared, and the tapioca was chewy and delicious. The milk tea felt elegant somehow. The only downside was that the tapioca wasn't visible due to the opaque paper cup. As I drank more, the tapioca started to fill me up, making it feel more like a snack than a drink.

After attending a Def Tech live show in Shin-Kiba, I went to pick up my down jacket that I had left at TATRAS and then headed to Midtown. Midtown was closing at 9pm due to facility inspections, so I decided to quench my thirst at ITOCiA. Despite being hesitant at first due to the long line, I eventually decided to wait in line as I didn't want to wander around with all my belongings. The line was long at The Alley (though The Alley and Gong Cha should have similar quality, I wonder why it's so crowded here?). I ordered the Bonsai Tapioca Milk Tea in size M (648 yen) with default ice level and reduced sweetness. It was my first time trying a bonsai drink. The crunchy chocolate bits were delicious but tended to accumulate around the edges, making it a bit difficult to drink. When the drink was about one-third gone, I shook it gently (without spilling the contents) to mix the cocoa wall with the drink, and I personally didn't mind the result.

The bonsai tapioca milk tea at the Shinjuku store was so delicious that I decided to come back for more! I'm starting to think that I don't even need tapioca anymore, so I tried the limited edition Devil's Dark Cocoa. This is delicious! It's not too sweet and the cocoa flavor is rich.

When I visited Yurakucho after a long time, I felt like having a tapioca drink, so I decided to line up. The line was long, but it moved quickly, and I was able to order in about 10 minutes! I ordered the Royal No.9! I was a bit indecisive, but I chose this one. It had a lot of tapioca pearls, which were chewy and bouncy. The taste of the milk tea was a bit unique, but it was delicious! After finishing it all, I felt full (*ˊᵕˋ*). If I have the chance, I would love to drink it again.

Deer Horn Lane is written as THE ALLEY, right? After eating a lot of yakiniku, I heard the girls shouting, "Tapioca, tapioca!" so I headed to ITOCIA. It was past 9 o'clock at night, but there was a line of over 30 people. Most of them were women. Oyama Matcha Tapioca Milk Tea 500 yen "Jasmine Green Tapioca Milk Tea" is written. "A cup that allows you to taste the nature that means 'small mountain' in Chinese, with the scent of jasmine flowers in green tea milk tea." Hmm, what's that supposed to mean?? I waited in line for about 30 minutes and finally got it. White milk tea. I was expecting it to be green because it was called matcha, but it was completely different. When I tried it, it was a milk tea with a faint jasmine scent. The sweetness was normal, but it wasn't sweet at all. Even though I searched hard, I couldn't taste the matcha flavor. There were a lot of tapioca pearls in it, and they were large. A mysterious texture that is chewy and bouncy. Tapioca itself doesn't have much flavor. Is it something to enjoy the texture of? I was expecting a sweet tapioca milk like the one served as an ethnic dessert, so it was quite a gap. Tapioca is very high in calories, so be careful not to drink too much. Well, I probably won't drink too much of this. I didn't understand the appeal, yes.
