#ToroSei 800-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken Karaage Set 800- It's still hot. Today marks the 80th day of the year with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius. It was my first time having lunch at this place in Yurakucho during Happy Hour. I was torn between the karaage and ginger pork, but ended up choosing the karaage. I was pleasantly surprised to receive five large pieces of freshly fried karaage. It was delicious and came with a side of sashimi, which was a nice touch. The miso soup with clams was also good. I felt like a food fighter towards the end of the meal, as I couldn't finish everything. I was so full and satisfied that I even considered getting a doggy bag.

Shimbashi Station is very close. This restaurant occupies the first floor and basement of a building. My two old friends and I were seated in the basement for our dinner. The place seemed popular, probably because of its location or reasonable prices. The staff, all of whom appeared to be foreigners (from Vietnam and China), were able to communicate in Japanese without any issues. We ordered a sashimi boat platter (2,980 yen) in addition to a variety of sashimi as our appetizers. We also had potato salad, quail eggs simmered in soy sauce, deep-fried octopus, grilled mackerel, and pickles. For drinks, we had draft beer, chilled sake (sake and Kokuryu), and sweet potato shochu (Tomino Hozan). We ended up spending more than we had budgeted due to drinking too much.

Within walking distance of Shinbashi Station, there are countless dining options, making it quite difficult to find a good restaurant. With so many choices and the hot weather making it hard to walk around, it's clear that the most popular restaurant in the area is the way to go. The interior layout is spacious and comfortable, with a cool atmosphere. The quality of the drinks is a bit on the higher side, but they are made with care and taste delicious. The sashimi and fried chicken, which are classic menu items, are also very tasty and affordable. This is definitely a restaurant that should always be considered as an option.

Shinbashi Area Lunch Exploration: From Shinbashi Station's Karasumori Exit, it's about a 3-minute walk to Shinbashi Nishiguchi Street. A place near the station known as the holy land for salarymen. I had the sashimi set meal for 1000 yen. The specialty of the restaurant seems to be various lemon sours and fish dishes. The lemon sours looked tempting, but I resisted the urge today. The popular lunch item is the seafood bowl for 1200 yen, but I was impressed by the volume of the sashimi being enjoyed by the person next to me, so I went with the sashimi set meal. The sashimi platter included tuna, salmon, warasa, and bonito with large slices. It was very satisfying. Additionally, there were two large pieces of chicken nuggets, miso soup with clams, seaweed pickles, and pickled vegetables provided as side dishes. Whether to start with the sashimi or the chicken nuggets, both had substantial portions, making it a tough decision for the main dish. First, I mixed wasabi with soy sauce, enjoyed the large sashimi slices with rice, and felt happy. Then, for the chicken nuggets, I blended the mayonnaise with the special ponzu sauce on the table to enjoy it in a Chicken Nanban style. It was delicious. Although the rice portion was quite generous, I chose the regular size and slightly regretted it later. The amount of the main dish was overwhelming, so I adjusted my rice intake while enjoying the side dishes. There were various lemon sours available, so I would like to come back on a hot night to refresh myself with a sour drink. Thank you for the meal.

It seems like a tuna specialty store, but it is actually an izakaya where you can enjoy a variety of seafood dishes as well as sushi and meat. It was quite lively even though it was daytime on a Saturday. The atmosphere was high-energy, and everyone was enjoying themselves. We started with a sashimi platter and then had some sushi. The container for the sashimi platter was cute, like a lemon. They also had grilled hormone and horse sashimi, and a wide variety of lemon sour drinks to choose from. Overall, it's a fun place to enjoy a meal.

At the third stop of the Shinbashi day drinking tour, we were able to sit at an outdoor table at Toromasa. This restaurant offers fresh fish and sushi at reasonable prices. The appetizer consisted of a sashimi platter served inside a large lemon, which was quite surprising. We ordered two servings of Toromasa nigiri to accompany our final drink of the day. Shinbashi's bar district was bustling with many people. We wrapped up before 6 o'clock while it was still light out, but the Saturday night was far from over.

Second day of exploring Tokyo! Looking for a place in Shinbashi where you can enjoy day drinking. They have a wide variety of lemon sour drinks! We had 6 drinks for about 6600 yen for 2 people! - Otoshi: Assorted sashimi. Surprised by the presentation with 4 different types. The taste was decent. - Aosa seaweed deep-fried tofu: 759 yen. Tofu soaked in broth, not very flavorful. The broth with aosa seaweed was tasty! - Kinka mackerel dried overnight: 1078 yen. Huge portion! Enough to enjoy sip by sip. Seafood and lemon sour restaurant. Smoking allowed outside. They have a variety of dishes such as sashimi platter, sushi, and grilled fish. It's a fantastic sushi izakaya. The thickness and taste of the grilled saury are excellent. The complimentary sashimi platter is also luxurious. Located in the heart of Shinbashi drinking district, so reservations may be necessary.

I visited this restaurant for the second time! After eating quite a bit at the previous restaurant, I decided to go for a lighter meal this time! The sashimi, which is their specialty, had a wide variety of fish to choose from! All of them were fresh and delicious! Another popular item on the menu is the lemon sour cocktail! They offer 30 different types, which is quite rare to see! I ordered the basic lemon sour as well as the ginger and mint flavors! Each one had a unique taste, making it enjoyable without getting bored! I would like to visit the first restaurant I went to next time! Thank you for the meal!

It was Tuesday lunchtime. I was wandering around the station area looking for a place to have lunch before my meeting in Shinbashi in the afternoon. Surprisingly, I couldn't find many open restaurants, so I decided to try this place for the first time. I entered at 12:25 and it didn't seem too crowded, but they directed me downstairs. I sat down immediately and noticed that about half of the tables were already occupied. I ordered the chicken tempura set with extra rice. The fact that they served water in a beer mug gave the place a pub-like atmosphere. As more customers came in, the place started to fill up. About 20 minutes later, my meal was served. The tempura was freshly fried and delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the tuna sashimi. The side dishes, miso soup, rice, and chopsticks, were also good. All of this for 800 yen was a great deal. I finished my meal in less than 10 minutes, which felt like a waste considering how good it was. I'll definitely come back when I have more time. Thank you for the meal.

■March 9, 2023 at "Toro Sei" in Shinbashi, a large serving of seafood bowl! Toro Sei (Shinbashi) Seafood Bowl (large serving) 1,200 yen Located on the west side of the salaryman's holy land "Shinbashi" on Nishiguchi Street, the seafood izakaya "Toro Sei". Lunch is only available from Monday to Friday, and on weekends, they operate as a day drinking establishment. The store opens at 11:30 am on weekdays with no prior customers. Welcome! The energetic waitress greets you with a smile. The interior of the table seats has a bright and casual atmosphere reminiscent of a seafood izakaya. The lunch menu includes a seafood bowl for 1,200 yen, chicken tempura set meal for 800 yen, grilled fish set meal for 1,000 yen, and sashimi set meal for 1,000 yen. For the first time, I ordered the seafood bowl for 1,200 yen with a large serving (free). After a 10-minute wait, it's ready! Here it is! It looks so delicious! A large serving of seafood bowl served in a 14cm diameter bowl! The seafood toppings are meticulously arranged higher than the rim of the bowl, creating an impressive presentation! Additionally, it comes with two pieces of chicken tempura, and miso soup, making it a hearty meal. The variety of toppings includes tuna, salmon, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, sandfish, negitoro, and tamago! I transfer the toppings to a separate plate and immediately dig in. Oh, this is irresistible! The toppings are thickly sliced and seem to be fresh! When dipped in wasabi soy sauce, they are moist and delicious! The vinegar rice has a mild vinegar flavor, which I like! I become completely absorbed in eating! The chicken tempura has a crispy texture with a crunchy coating! However, it lacks the juicy texture of chicken meat. The tuna looks unappetizing in color and has a watery taste. With a variety of toppings, it's enjoyable to eat without getting bored. I savor each bite and finish it all in one go! I also finish the clam miso soup and feel 100% full. The seafood bowl for 1,200 yen looks luxurious, but the bowl is very small, so it felt a bit pricey. There are parking meters around Shinbashi Station. Visited around 18:00 on Sunday. The basement is non-smoking, while the first floor allows smoking, but there is no need to worry about smoke coming in, unlike other places where the areas are somewhat separated. As a non-smoker, I appreciated this. The complimentary dish was sashimi served in a container with lemons, which was a pleasant surprise! I was excited to see sashimi as a complimentary dish! There was a wide variety of lemon sour drinks available, so even though I can't drink beer, I was able to enjoy many different drinks.

Today I had a reunion at a long time no see alumni meeting in Shinbashi. I was surprised by the first dish, a sashimi platter, it was amazing. We toasted with beer and ordered various dishes. The conversation got so lively that we forgot to take pictures. The restaurant was packed with customers drinking since noon, the first floor was full but the basement had more seats and a spacious atmosphere. Maybe they can accommodate around 50 people? The food was delicious as well. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Toromasa Shinbashi store after seeing a reviewer with a similar taste history giving it a thumbs up. I ordered the seafood bowl for 1200 yen with a free extra-large portion. The seafood bowl, piled high with vinegared rice and seafood, was a bit difficult to eat as is, so I moved the toppings to a separate plate. After enjoying the first bowl, I put the toppings back and made a second bowl while eating some fried chicken. I had a sudden idea to try dipping salmon in mayonnaise, which made it even more delicious. The hearty miso soup was a nice break between bites of the seafood bowl, and I enjoyed it to my heart's content. d(´ڡ`๑)

I entered Shinbashi Nishiguchi Street and found this place a little way in. It was bright outside, so I chose to sit on the terrace. It's a Japanese-style izakaya, but with a terrace? The otoshi was surprising - it came with 4 types of sashimi served in a lemon-shaped bucket. With that, I didn't even need a sashimi platter. They recommend lemon sour, boasting 30 varieties, but I actually think the regular lemon sour is the best. For snacks, we had butter-grilled mushrooms and whelk, octopus bites, young chicken karaage, and beef cheek steak. We went all out and it was a high-quality, affordable izakaya. Highly recommended!

8/20, Second stop at Toromasa in Shinbashi. Both drinks and dishes are expensive. We didn't order any food, just had two appetizers and two salt lemon sours, totaling ¥2,112. The sashimi appetizer was not bad, but the salt lemon sours had too much salt on the rim of the glass.

Next is Toromasa after Horiuchi's Shimbashi ginger pork set meal. It seems like they don't use premium pork, but the pork belly is not tough, and the seasoning is decent. The portion size is good too. The rice and miso soup are not bad, and there's also a small serving of sashimi. Yeah, this seems alright. Shimbashi ginger pork set meal for 800 yen. There were salarymen who left because there was no all-you-can-drink option during the day, a group of spirited elderly men and women who came for daytime drinking, it was quite amusing.

After finishing work in Shinbashi, I had the unhealthy thought of "I need to drink to survive!" and went in search of a place where I could drink. Shinbashi has so many tempting drinking spots, right? I was in the mood for beer and feeling more like "Japanese" than "Western" and more like "seafood" than "meat," so I chose "Toro Matsuri Shinbashi Branch." It looked like a Japanese seafood restaurant, and I saw an empty counter seat in the bright, fisherman's hut-style interior, so I decided to go there. [Food Experience] As expected, I secured a seat at the back of the counter. I started with a toast with a draft beer. The appetizer was a sashimi platter! Although it was a small portion, it was filled with delicious-looking sashimi, which made me happy. I felt like I made the right choice coming to this restaurant, and I thought the price (680 yen) was cheap. I ordered the "Thinly Sliced Flounder Sashimi," which seemed like a good deal. Yes, this is good! Even though it's thinly sliced, it has a firm texture and a delicious taste. After enjoying the seafood with the flounder, I ordered the "Grilled Chicken Gizzards over Charcoal." It has the unique chewiness of gizzards and, most importantly, the savory aroma of charcoal grilling, making it delicious! This goes well with yuzu pepper. The flounder sashimi cost 680 yen, and although the grilled chicken gizzards cost 780 yen, it may seem a bit expensive, but the quantity is sufficient for two people, and I still think it's cheap. This place seems to be promoting lemon sour, so I also ordered a "Lemon Sour." Lemon sour seems to be a good deal for the restaurant, but it was not thin or bad at all. It was a solid and delicious lemon sour. The refreshing fizz and lemon acidity increased my appetite. For additional snacks, I ordered the "Fried Tofu with Seaweed and Miso" and the "Grilled Crab Miso in Shell." Oh! The fried tofu with seaweed and miso is extremely delicious! The seaweed aroma combined with the rich miso flavor, yes, this calls for shochu. I quickly finished the lemon sour, so I moved on to shochu on the rocks. Crab miso - shochu - crab miso - shochu... Oh, I'm getting relaxed now. I came here with an unhealthy desire to drink, but now I don't care about that anymore. Thank you for the meal! [Bill] - Sapporo Black Label Draft Beer (Medium) - 480 yen - Thinly Sliced Flounder Sashimi - 680 yen - Grilled Chicken Gizzards over Charcoal - 780 yen - Lemon Sour - 380 yen - Fried Tofu with Seaweed and Miso - 680 yen - Grilled Crab Miso in Shell - 550 yen - Onekakusha (shochu) - 480 yen - Appetizer - 480 yen ---------------------------------------------- Subtotal - 4,510 yen Consumption tax - 451 yen ---------------------------------------------- Total - 4,961 yen

A lemon sour-themed izakaya recently opened in the Shinbashi and Uchisaiwaicho area. I had been curious about the same-named shop in Yurakucho, which offers alcohol lunches even during a state of emergency, engages in customer solicitation, but I decided to stay away. Instead, I visited the newly opened Shinbashi branch for lunch on a weekday, only to find out they were closed. I returned on a Saturday afternoon and found out that the first floor allowed smoking while the basement was non-smoking, so I went downstairs. However, I was told that the basement was closed, leaving me with the dilemma of dealing with smoking, dining, and no partitions. I ordered a Mega Lemon Sour for 680 yen (excluding tax). As I was considering ordering sashimi, a 480 yen appetizer was brought to me. To avoid having too much raw fish, I decided to skip the sashimi and ordered a plate of lean horse meat for 680 yen. The appetizer sashimi was not very appealing, but the wasabi was good. As a lemon sour specialty shop, the lemon flavor was enjoyable. While waiting for the horse meat, I ordered the "Nanko Ume Suisho" for 580 yen from the "instant dishes" menu. It arrived in about 8 minutes. The horse meat came with grated garlic and ponzu sauce, along with green onions and onions, which I liked. After 3 minutes, the Nanko Ume Suisho arrived, and I added a Kuro Kirishima soda for 480 yen. I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the Nanko Ume Suisho. However, as more dining customers arrived, the non-smoking area was full, so I felt disappointed and decided to leave after 30 minutes to reduce the risk of close contact. Cashless payment was available, but I only saw it being used.

I found a new restaurant that opened today while passing by. It is a chain izakaya that can also be found in Yurakucho. They opened on March 9th, and for the next two days (March 9th and 10th) they are offering sashimi at a special price. A sashimi platter with red snapper, amberjack, and horse mackerel is only 290 yen! And bluefin tuna is 390 yen! The first floor was full, so we were guided to the basement. We ordered drinks and the special sashimi at 290 yen and 390 yen. As soon as we sat down, we were served a drink and a yellow item, which turned out to be a sashimi appetizer. Then the special sashimi arrived, and it was a generous portion. Since it was already our second stop, we didn't order anything else, but the sashimi was quite good. At this price, you can't really complain. I wonder how much it costs at the regular price?
