On my way home from work, I was planning to stop by Senbayashi to eat some boiled dumplings, but I had to go to Minami-Morimachi for an urgent matter, so I took the Tanimachi Line in the opposite direction. After finishing my business, I looked at the clock and it was already 7:30 pm. I debated whether to continue to Senbayashi or to eat in the Minami-Morimachi area. When I searched for "Minami-Morimachi boiled dumplings," I found a restaurant that caught my eye, so I headed there right away. The location faced Keihan Kodo and was easy to find. There were about two customers ordering takeout in front of the shop. I peeked inside and saw that there were empty seats, so I quickly went in. I placed my order at the counter near the entrance. I had planned to eat boiled dumplings, but it seemed that the restaurant's specialty was pan-fried xiaolongbao, so I ordered boiled dumplings, 4 pan-fried xiaolongbao, and a Szechuan-style ramen. The pan-fried xiaolongbao arrived first, with instructions on how to eat them posted. Following the instructions, I tried the first one without any additional condiments. As I cautiously broke it open with my chopsticks, the juice squirted out. It was more amazing than I had expected. I proceeded more carefully with the second one. Since they were piping hot, I had to be careful not to burn myself. They were flavorful enough on their own, but they also tasted good with the provided vinegar and chili oil. The boiled dumplings and Szechuan-style ramen also arrived, adding more color to the table. The boiled dumplings, which I had been looking forward to, were bite-sized and slid down easily. I even tried putting some on top of the ramen, which was also delicious. During this season, I feel like eating cold noodles, although I end up sweating (laughs). Before I knew it, I had finished all the dishes, and my enjoyable solo feast time ended in no time. As the weather gets warmer, cold noodles sound appealing. Of course, having some beer with pan-fried xiaolongbao would be devilishly delicious. I would say that even if I don't have any business in Minami-Morimachi in the future, it's worth visiting this restaurant just for the experience. Repeat visit confirmed. Thank you for the meal!
