Shogayaki is a home-style dish made with thinly sliced pork belly with a simple seasoning. The potato salad, while it's unclear if it's homemade, is delicious. On this particular day, the equivalent of soup was somen noodles. Even in the area around Nishi-Azabu intersection, there are reasonably priced and tasty restaurants in the backstreets and residential areas. This place is one of those kinds of restaurants.

After visiting the Nezu Museum, we searched for a bar and ended up here with three people. We were seated at a large table. The snacks, including okonomiyaki, negiyaki, and teppanyaki, were all delicious, and even after drinking a lot, it didn't cost more than 5,000 yen per person. We found a great restaurant.

The main focus is on the okonomiyaki restaurant, but they also have a great lunch menu on weekdays. It's exciting to have lunch in a trendy area that I don't usually visit. Today, I was in the mood for meat, so I chose the roast beef bowl. The combination of soft-boiled egg and lean meat creates a smooth and delicious flavor. The meat is cut into easy-to-eat pieces, making it very enjoyable.

Located on the road leading from Nishi-Azabu intersection to Omotesando, this okonomiyaki restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that feels like it used to be a coffee shop in the past. There are two table seats, a counter, and a large round table inside. It seems to be popular among locals, creating a very welcoming environment. They also offer delivery through Uber Eats. In addition to okonomiyaki, they have a variety of side dishes including cold dishes and teppanyaki dishes, making it enjoyable for those who may not want okonomiyaki. One recommended side dish is the negiyaki, which is grilled scallions wrapped in a dumpling-like skin, offering a delicious flavor. Some may find the overall taste of the dishes too salty, but it pairs well with alcohol. The okonomiyaki here has a fluffy texture with a slightly sweet sauce that complements the cabbage well, and the generous amount of vegetables is a plus. The restroom is located towards the back right of the restaurant and although it may be a bit spacious, it is well-maintained. The restaurant seems to support artists, as there are flyers for live performances and theater shows. The restroom is also decorated in a Western style with a blue theme. This cozy okonomiyaki restaurant in the depths of Nishi-Azabu may be a fun place to take someone, and the prices are reasonable, not reflecting the high prices of the area.

Okonomiyaki is delicious, of course, but everything tastes delicious thanks to the master's years of technique.

Let's go eat okonomiyaki! I received an invitation like that and visited the restaurant. Recently, I've been eating more carbohydrates, and while on a diet, I told myself that there are times when men have to eat, so I set out to the restaurant. I felt guilty about eating a whole plate, so I only had about 2 pieces. Of course, sauce and mayonnaise are the best! While enjoying the meal, here is the evaluation: [Modern Yaki] There are two types of modern yaki, the most popular Deluxe for 1200 yen and the recommended Kaion Yaki for 1600 yen. This time, I chose the Deluxe for 1200 yen. The ingredients include pork, squid, shrimp, and soba. The unique feature here is that the soba is fried for a long time. As a result, excess moisture evaporates, and you can enjoy the chewy soba in the modern yaki. [Asparagus Wrapped in Pork] Just as the name suggests, it is asparagus carefully wrapped in pork, with the pork tightly wrapped around the asparagus. [Ume Cucumber] This ume cucumber has wasabi in it, so it's quite spicy. The tangy taste that tingles in your nose may be different from what you imagined, but I quite liked it. [Crunchy Cabbage] Cabbage that can be dipped in salt sauce, miso, or mayonnaise. I like to dip it in both mayonnaise and miso at the same time. The restaurant has a retro Showa-era atmosphere. The quiet master is constantly cooking in front of you, which is somehow soothing. It's that kind of place.

I went to this restaurant with my drinking buddies for the first time. This place is quietly tucked away in the depths of Nishi-Azabu. While the restaurant mainly serves okonomiyaki, we ended up ordering too many appetizers and didn't get to try the okonomiyaki. We started with the crispy cabbage and miso mayo cucumber, which need no explanation. The sweet miso and mayonnaise went well together. The tonpei yaki we ordered was not rolled, which was a different style. My personal recommendation is the crispy cheese yaki, which had a satisfying texture and was delicious. Lastly, the miso sauce yakisoba had a subtle miso aroma and was different from other yakisoba dishes I've had. The topping of chicken went really well with it. I'll make sure to try the okonomiyaki next time I visit.

Located between Nogizaka and Omotesando, this okonomiyaki restaurant has a traditional izakaya atmosphere. There are tables and counter seats, totaling around 30 seats. - Potato with Mentaiko Butter: Crispy potatoes topped with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and butter, with a light and easy-to-eat flavor. - Okonomiyaki Canon-yaki: An okonomiyaki with about 6 oysters inside. - Deluxe Okonomiyaki: Contains shrimp, squid, and pork. The ingredients are slightly small. It's a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with cabbage, bean sprouts, and soba noodles that aren't soggy, and the sauce was a bit on the strong side. The okonomiyaki is very easy to eat, and the casual atmosphere makes it a good place to casually go for a drink.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant since it was called "Kakkou Waruyatsu" in another location, but I finally had the chance to visit. It is a bit far from the subway stations (Omotesando, Nogizaka). The restaurant is easy to find with the okonomiyaki flag outside, but once inside, it doesn't look like a typical okonomiyaki place. There are no seats with teppanyaki plates, and the teppanyaki inside the counter is not very noticeable. I visited in the evening and tried the Deluxe Okonomiyaki. It costs 1200 yen and is a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with pork, shrimp, and squid. The menu doesn't mention squid tempura, the bean sprouts are thick, the batter is slightly thick, and the shrimp and squid are small. The noodles are thin steamed noodles seasoned with sauce. It is cooked in a traditional way, taking time to cook thoroughly. The finished okonomiyaki is served on an iron plate. The cabbage is sweetened, but the noodles are overly seasoned with sauce, and there is too much sauce on the okonomiyaki, making the sauce flavor too strong and not bringing out the flavor of the cabbage.

I used to go there often as it was conveniently located near my workplace. Despite being in Omotesando, it has a cozy snack-like atmosphere and reasonable prices like an izakaya, making me stay longer than intended. I fell in love with Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, which I discovered through work, and it's my favorite dish. I've been to several locations in Tokyo (Baba Lemon-ya, Shinbashi Sonia, Kichijoji HIDE-bo, etc.), but I like this place almost as much as Sonia. Their grilled oysters are delicious too! It would be nice if they had a bit more variety in drinks though – they only have wine in half bottles. By the way, this time, they ran out of the red wine I had been ordering. Also, the location is a bit off the beaten path (past Nezu Museum from Omotesando), so if you're looking for a casual place with a down-to-earth atmosphere nearby, I recommend it.

The master is from Hiroshima and a Carp fan. We often used this restaurant for post-game analysis. All the dishes are very delicious.
