Earlier, I left a review about an intriguing older sister and on the way back from "Yoshino," we stopped by a second place around 4 am. It's a bit hard to find as it's located along Roppongi Street. When you go down the stairs, you enter a dimly lit, sophisticated space. There were only two customers, a couple, at the time. I love wine, so I ordered red wine. The taste was just average. I recognized the other wines on the menu, so I decided not to try them. Well, at least the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The owner was friendly and had a wild vibe, he was a foreigner. There is a table charge of 1000 yen. The downside was definitely the wine. They claim to focus on their wine selection, but there is still room for improvement. That's all.

A hidden wine bar on the basement floor of a building along Roppongi Street. I randomly dropped in. The interior is not very spacious, fitting around 15 people. It has a French colonial style decor, creating a nice atmosphere. 80s R&B and rock music plays at a decent volume. The drink menu mostly consists of wines, surprisingly extensive for the size and vibe of the place. I had a 750ml Perrier and a bottle of 2008 Savigny-les-Beaune. It had a light color and charming impression, not very intense or well-aged, but still enjoyable. I also tried a glass of Chardonnay and a glass of Cremant de Bourgogne Rose, both of good quality. Ended up staying longer than expected. The owner is friendly and entertaining.

It is an entrance that is not very noticeable, to the point where you might pass by without realizing it, and it is located underground, so you need a strong desire to go there in order to not overlook it. The landmark is a splendid sign that reads "Chojusan," standing among ordinary soba restaurants. The owner has a dark complexion, and when I first met him, I mistakenly thought he was a foreigner and spoke to him in English. However, he clarified that he is Japanese and upon talking to him, I learned that he is actually half Japanese. I vaguely remember that he used to be a model in a fashion magazine called "Men's Club" in the past. I used to read "Men's Club" when I was young. The iconic owner of "Easy Bar" in Azabu Juban, Eizo-san (who has already retired), was also the first model of Men's Club. It seems that once mature male models retire from modeling, they transition to running bars. The owner is not the flashy type of half-Japanese model like those in JOY magazine, but rather has a traditional model-like handsome appearance that even men would admire. He is friendly, so I think anyone can easily become friends with him. Initially, the restaurant did not focus much on wine when it first opened, but recently, it seems that wine enthusiasts gather there, as they started offering reasonably priced wines. The food is not anything special, but they have snacks that you can nibble on, making it a good place to stop by for a quick drink as your second or third stop of the night. For those who prioritize the interior and atmosphere of a restaurant, this might not be the best choice, but for those interested in the personality and atmosphere of the owner, or for those who enjoy drinking with good company, this restaurant is recommended.

Around this area, there was a need for a casual drink. However, while there are plenty of bars in Midtown, Nishi-Azabu, and Hills, there are relatively few bars in the 7-chome area. So, while strolling around, I discovered this shop. It is a wine-centered bar with two tables and around 10 seats at the counter. The customers at that time were of a wide range of ages, from young to elderly. The lighting is dim and you can relax. Also, the conversation is led by the Italian-Japanese master who has been here for about 7 or 8 years. It might be a good place to have a drink alone.
