I arrived at 1:00 and was able to sit down right away. I ordered the mapo tofu for 950 yen, which came with unlimited rice, soup, and pickled vegetables. The mapo tofu was average, nothing special. It was a bit pricey considering everything else on the menu was over 1100 yen. However, the place was constantly busy with customers coming in even after I sat down.

This is a Chinese restaurant located in the restaurant area of Tokyo Shiodome Building. Due to the coronavirus, I hadn't been to the restaurants in this building for a while. I was surprised to find that most of the shops had disappeared when I finally visited again. I entered the restaurant at 6:30 PM, but no staff came out to greet me. I even raised my voice, but still no one appeared. I had to go inside and call out to the kitchen before someone finally came out. They offer dinner sets, noodles, and rice dishes. I ordered the dinner set with twice-cooked pork. The set included twice-cooked pork, rice, pickled vegetables, soup, and cold oolong tea. The food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, which was surprisingly fast considering there were no other customers. The portion sizes were generous, especially for someone like me who doesn't eat much. The twice-cooked pork was decently tasty. The pickled vegetables were delicious with a light and thick cut. The soup was more like miso soup. The service was mediocre as they didn't bring water throughout the meal, but since cold oolong tea was included, I didn't bother to ask for it.

At the end of the usual lunch hour, I revisited the restaurant. The atmosphere inside was bustling, perhaps due to the lifting of COVID restrictions and the relocation of major companies that were previously housed in the building. Many customers were present, which was a rare sight considering how quiet it used to be. Several other dining establishments in the area had closed down, leaving only this place and a Japanese restaurant across the street. I ordered the A lunch set, which was the Mapo Tofu set for 1,020 yen. I always wonder why they can't just round it up to a nice even number during lunchtime. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The Mapo Tofu had a miso flavor at first, followed by a tingling sensation of Sichuan pepper. It tasted slightly different from the last time I had it. The spiciness was mild, with the miso flavor being more prominent, giving it a stir-fried tofu in miso taste. The rice seemed to be of commercial grade, lacking in gloss and depth of flavor. It was cooked in a dry, fluffy style, which might be suitable for fried rice. My friend loves this place, so I will definitely revisit, but I wish they would at least round off the lunch menu prices to a nice round number!

During a regular lunchtime, I reluctantly revisited a coworker's favorite restaurant. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal for 1,020 yen. Although it looked spicy, it wasn't at all, so I ended up adding a couple of rounds of chili oil. The portion was small, so it might be more suitable for those with a smaller appetite or women. Personally, I found it a bit lacking in quantity. I don't really want to revisit this place, but my coworker loves it, so who knows?

Today's lunch: "Pork Kakuni Yakisoba" Pork kakuni is chopped and stir-fried with plenty of vegetables to create a fragrant yakisoba! It was quite delicious. The seasoning may vary, but I really like it and come here often. The Chinese staff members are also very friendly and welcoming!

This month's lunch menu includes A lunch with oil-splashed chicken and steamed dumplings for 1,020 yen. The Chinese-style service, mediocre pricing, and flavor of this restaurant are not to my liking. However, my colleague insisted on dining here, not giving me a choice to choose another place. The oil-splashed chicken is sweet and the portion is small. The rice tastes like commercial-grade rice, similar to the free rice at a ramen shop. The soup still lacks flavor. And yet, the lunch menu is priced over 1,000 yen. What a disappointment.

I revisited the restaurant at the usual time of 2:30 PM. The service here is still Chinese-style, so I'll mention that upfront. If you're looking for Japanese-style service, it's best to avoid this place. The mapo tofu seemed to be Sichuan-style, with a generous amount of spicy chili oil and plenty of minced meat. However, I felt that the portion of tofu was a bit lacking, maybe about one-third of a regular serving. You can have unlimited rice and soup refills, but the rice lacked gloss and stickiness, tasting like cheap, bland rice. The taste of the soup was also lacking as usual. I always feel like the taste and the price don't match up, but my colleague highly recommends this place! I might end up coming back tomorrow, despite my reservations. (bitter smile)

I ate too much at dinner today! I had stir-fried beef with oyster sauce and garlic chives. It was a combination of a night set meal and an additional dish. The chef is Chinese, so the seasoning varies, but the taste is decent. There are no major changes, and the quality is reliable. I come here quite often.

I was invited by a favorite colleague to this Chinese restaurant and we arrived at 14:50 on a weekday (note the time). We ordered the A lunch set, which was Stir-fried Mushroom and Egg priced at 1,020 yen. They do not accept cashless payments, which left me feeling uneasy with the odd 20 yen change. The set meal included a watery Chinese-style soup and a dish of stir-fried egg with shimeji mushrooms, black fungus, and a small amount of baby corn. The taste was quite bland. They offered free refills of pickled vegetables and rice, but I don't like pickled vegetables and we were rushed to pay at the register as they were closing at 3 o'clock. To be honest, I don't plan on returning.

Today was my 8th visit to this restaurant, with two colleagues. One of my colleagues is a big fan of this place. We arrived around 12:30, and there were no other customers yet. It seems that the impact of the coronavirus is still significant. We ordered the Chinese-style grilled meat lunch set for 1,020 yen. This restaurant is located in a prime area where major companies like NTV, Dentsu, and SoftBank are located, so it seems to cater to elite salarymen with its prices. However, they offer free refills for rice and pickled vegetables. The portion of meat in the Chinese-style grilled meat dish was quite small, with about 20% meat to 80% onions. It also came with two very thin stick dumplings and tasteless soup. The soup had no flavor at all, and we ended up leaving more than half of it untouched. Just a note, they do not accept cashless payments and the service style is more traditional Chinese.

I visited the restaurant for lunch after 1 pm. The place was almost empty with only about two groups of customers. I ordered the lunch set with mapo tofu. I chose the steamed option for the rice. It arrived in about 10 minutes. Both the mapo tofu and rice had no steam coming off them. Only the miso soup was hot. The mapo tofu was not heated through to the core, with some parts feeling cold, making me suspect if it was microwaved. The rice was dry and lacked moisture, and the lukewarm dumplings were served. Only the miso soup was hot. For a price of 1020 yen, I will not visit this place again. I hope this review prevents others from having a bad experience.

The food is delicious and the interior design gives off a bar-like atmosphere. It's quiet and great for small groups to have conversations, but can also accommodate large groups for dancing by moving tables and chairs. Thanks to the excellent interior design of the restaurant, our New Year's party was a lot of fun.
