えせがねーぜ
I rarely eat tonkatsu. I like it, but I never feel like eating it. However, on this day, I felt like having some delicious pork, especially locally sourced, so after a meeting at Sapporo Grand Hotel, I walked towards Susukino and saw the Aoki sign. Although there was no line (it was too hot that day to bother looking), I decided to go in. I usually consider the pork loin to be the most delicious, so I ordered that without hesitation. It took about 15 minutes to be served, which I appreciated. The low-temperature cooking method made me imagine a pale-colored coating and pink meat like Narihirari, but surprisingly, it had a crispy appearance. The meat was cooked medium, firm yet tender to chew. The meat quality was excellent, as expected from SPF pork, juicy and moist. The rice was shiny, and the miso soup was packed with meat, making it a satisfying meal with just this and rice for those who eat lightly. The 300g portion was quite filling, and I felt quite full towards the end. There were three types of salt and sauce, so it didn't get boring, or so I'd like to say, but it did get a bit repetitive. I wonder if adding curry would have been a good idea. Despite the slight sense of monotony, I managed to satisfy my craving for delicious meat. I enjoyed the combination of high-quality ingredients and a well-established franchise. Perhaps the reason I don't feel like eating tonkatsu often is because of this slight sense of monotony. I finished the meal thinking about how to enjoy tonkatsu in the future. The food was really delicious!!! (out of the blue) The quality of the ingredients and a well-established franchise seem to go well together. (I don't know, though) However, some people come to Hokkaido to enjoy its simplicity, so they might prefer local set meals. There seems to be a second floor as well, so it's suitable for large groups! So, that kind of use is also recommended!
