After watching a movie, I suddenly felt like drinking a draft beer and stopped by this restaurant. It's a chain store, but I ate and drank until I was full. It was a Sunday afternoon, but many people were already eating and drinking. It was just the right atmosphere for a casual drink and bite to eat.

I was drawn in by the 199 yen (excluding tax) Premium Malt's beer, thinking I would just have one drink. As expected, the appetizer was 300 yen... I kind of knew that would be the case, but it still felt like "ah, I knew it." However, the yakitori was tasty and the staff were nice, so it's okay. I ended up having two Premium Malt's beers, so I just missed the "senbero" mark...

I mistakenly entered the restaurant "Melon" instead of "Yaro" even though I looked at the menu outside. I didn't realize my mistake for a while and ended up choosing the all-you-can-drink option for 1,650 yen for 2 hours. I ordered using a tablet and was served raw cabbage as a complimentary dish. Eventually, I realized my mistake and ordered from the "Yaro" menu. The menu seemed a bit limited, but the food was delicious. The staff, both men and women, were attractive and worked hard.

The meeting ended early, so we were able to avoid the crowds and get a table, although it was fully booked. We enjoyed delicious yakitori and drinks that went down smoothly. The prices were reasonable, and it was clear why this place is so popular. Both the salt and sauce options were tasty, with the salt bringing out the flavor of the chicken and the sauce having a nice taste. The seating was a bit cramped, but it's understandable given the location. The Mega series drinks were a good deal and satisfying. Overall, I think this restaurant is very convenient for the office district.

The 3-hour all-you-can-drink for 1800 yen was great. In an area where many places are not cheap, this was a grateful find for us who happened to be drinking in that area. The food was decent. There was no long wait from ordering to serving. Despite the large number of customers, the staff handled it well and I am generally satisfied. However, I accidentally spilled beer all over my pants. Oh well, these things happen sometimes. It wasn't intentional. The manager came over and dealt with it sincerely. Thank you.

Summer. When it comes to the time of the Upper House election, I remember Ms. Miki Watanabe. Who is she? She is the chairman of the major food industry company Watami Food Service. "Sandaimeme Torimero" is one of the restaurants operated by Watami. It is an izakaya specializing in chicken dishes such as yakitori. The "Yurakucho Hibiya Entrance Store" I visited this time is located on the second floor of a mixed-use building near Hibiya Park. It's a bit hard to find, but the entrance is on the second floor up the stairs. As it was a hot day, I ordered a "Nama Super Dry" draft beer (tax included 199 yen). This is outstanding in terms of cost performance. If you're unsure, beer is always a good choice. The appetizer (tax included 299 yen) was cabbage with salted kelp. This appetizer might be the main culprit hindering cheap eating and drinking. I only ordered the fried chicken (tax included 599 yen) from the food menu. It was a menu I had ordered before and wanted to order again. Eat the crispy fried chicken with plenty of mayonnaise. Delicious. It goes well with beer more than anything.

I remembered that there is a chicken izakaya on the second floor next to the elevated track between Yurakucho and Shinbashi that has been serving lunch for about a year, so I decided to try their quick lunch. I chose the "Yurinchi" from the three one-coin lunch options displayed outside. In just 5 minutes, the "If you want to go all out!" subtitle, the oil-drenched chicken, came with a small portion of rice, lukewarm miso soup, a mini salad, and pickles as a set. As more diners arrived, I hurried to finish my meal, so I couldn't fully enjoy the oil-drenched chicken, but the portion was generous and the taste was not bad. I quickly made a cashless payment and felt the conscience of the one-coin price including consumption tax.

Although it was called a "one-coin lunch," there were actually three menu options available. I ordered the hearty dish of Yurinchi, which is similar to oil-drizzled chicken. The rice was a bit watery and lacked the sticky texture. The miso soup seemed to lack flavor and depth in the broth. The side dishes included stir-fried bean sprouts and pea sprouts, which were a nice addition. The freshly fried Yurinchi was crispy and satisfying, but the sauce seemed more like doubanjiang with a hint of Sichuan pepper, almost like mapo tofu. I thought Yurinchi was supposed to be a sweet and sour dish with green onions. Well, considering it's a one-coin lunch, maybe it's acceptable.

On Sunday nights, Ginza, Shimbashi, and Yurakucho are quite lonely areas. Most izakayas are chain restaurants. If you choose a chain restaurant, it's all about the price. Some people might find the way they pour beer a bit sloppy, but there's no complaint about the 199 yen small draft beer in terms of cost performance. I visit this place only considering cost performance. I don't say anything.

Tokyo's Yurakucho has a yakitori izakaya chain called Torimero. It is just a 2-minute walk from my workplace, but it was my first visit. I had always avoided it because I had the impression that it was a place where young people were drinking and making noise. Today, I decided to do some research on the comparison between the Kansai representative Torikizoku and the Kanto representative Torimero with a friend from Osaka. The beer, an Asahi brand, served in a 555ml glass for 333 yen, left a very cheap impression, as even in cheaper places, it would be around 450 yen. The price of 150 yen per skewer of yakitori is reasonably cheap, but the quality of the chicken meat seems to be better than Torikizoku. Perhaps the yakitori culture is of a higher level in Kanto after all. We ordered a variety of skewers, seasonal eel skewers, and chicken karaage, and all of them passed the test (though I may sound a bit pretentious). I used to think that Benishojo-ya was the best in terms of affordable yakitori, but the meat quality at Torimero might be better. Thank you for the meal!

At a recent gathering of fellow students from the same course, we met at Torimero, a restaurant affiliated with Watami. We spent 3 hours catching up and admiring each other's achievements. I indulged in the 199 yen draft beer, while others opted for the 299 and 399 yen options. Interestingly, the "Otoko Mae" 1-liter draft beer was priced at 699 yen, higher than three 199 yen beers combined. The staff, mostly foreigners, worked diligently but struggled with communication. The snacks were slow to arrive, so we snacked on the complimentary cabbage while enjoying our cheap draft beer. Finally, the grilled chicken arrived, and it was delicious. The overall meal was average, with some dishes being confusing. However, the bill came out to be surprisingly low at 2,000 yen for six people. It made me wonder if they can sustain in Hibiya with such low prices. Despite the uncertainties, the affordability of the meal was appreciated. It's a complex issue - cheap prices lead to low wages for employees, resulting in a reliance on foreign workers due to labor shortages. It's a difficult situation to navigate.

I used it for a second party with my colleagues at work. The yakitori and drinks were very cheap and easy to use. Other dishes besides yakitori are standard dishes like rolled omelette, mackerel, and fried potatoes. The taste is neither good nor bad, it's like the taste of a chain izakaya. However, the overwhelming thing is the cost performance, and if you go with multiple people, you can get full for around 1,000 yen. It's a place I want to use when I feel like having some yakitori for a second or third party.

I went there with my boyfriend before. We went on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was quite crowded with people. We were told we could stay for up to 2 hours. We chose Toriwameiro mainly because of the price! It's much cheaper than drinking and eating at other unfamiliar izakayas. We ordered the "Proud Assorted Tempura Skewers" with salt. We also ordered karaage and cartilage. The taste was surprisingly delicious for the price! The pandemic seems to be continuing, but I would like to go back once things calm down.
