After dinner, visited "Charyo Toruri" for a sweet treat and enjoyed the "Special Toruri Parfait". This parfait has become a regular choice for dessert with my wife after dinner. It is priced just slightly over 1,500 yen, but considering the brand value of Toruri, the price is reasonable. Highly recommended.

I lined up in the morning and was able to get in right away. The restaurant was spacious and clean. I had a set of green tea soba and parfait, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly. I also bought some souvenirs and left very satisfied. I would like to visit again.

The other day, I received a message from Mr. Doroji on LINE saying that they had a new menu, so I decided to go there right after my eye examination. It was a weekday afternoon, and there were about 5-6 groups waiting outside, but the wait wasn't too long. I was called in one by one and moved to the waiting area inside. Then I was seated by the window, where I could enjoy the view of Kyoto Station while eating. There was a wide range of customers, from young people to older ones. This time, I ordered the new menu item called "Moonlight Beauty." The name itself is lovely. It consisted of a roll cake at the top, baked sweets with plenty of caramel, matcha ice cream, fruits, whipped cream, and various other items like ice cream and jelly. Every part, down to the jelly at the bottom, was incredibly delicious.

It's hard to find the Tea House in the department store, but you eventually reach it. It's a convenient place to stop by while waiting for the Shinkansen or JR trains at Kyoto Station. The locals also visit this shop while shopping, so there's always a line. The Tea House has a calming atmosphere. Today, I had the special Toshu-ri Parfait and Matcha Float, which I shared with a friend. The chestnuts and white mochi with fragrant matcha cream make up a serious matcha parfait with an 800-year history. It's so relaxing to enjoy this. In addition to the classic menu items, they also offer seasonal parfaits with fruits. Check out their website for more information. It was a soothing and delicious experience. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the 6th floor of Isetan in Kyoto Station, this sweet shop had a line of about 5 groups by 11:30 on a Saturday. However, there were waiting seats outside where we could sit comfortably. We were given the menu while waiting, and could choose our order. After about 5 minutes, we were seated as a few groups left. I ordered the Toshori parfait. They asked about allergies when ordering, which was very polite. They also brought tea and a hot towel with the order. The hojicha tea had a nice aroma. The Toshori parfait was a decent size, with no cornflakes at the bottom, which was nice. The matcha whipped cream and matcha jelly were delicious. The seating in the store was spacious, and the counter seats by the window offered a view of Kyoto Tower. When we left around 12:45, there was already a long line outside. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, so I revisited with a friend later that evening. We ordered a dessert tasting set with shiratama dango, warabi mochi, matcha jelly, and hojicha jelly. The shiratama dango was moist and smooth, and each skewer had 3 dango balls. The warabi mochi had a rich flavor and was soft. And as expected, the matcha jelly was incredibly tasty. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I would love to visit again when in Kyoto.

After finishing a meal at Yakiniku Hayashi, I felt like having something sweet. I briefly considered going to Starbucks or GODIVA dessert at the nearby Aeon Mall, but then I suddenly remembered that there is a "Charyo Toshu-ri" at JR Kyoto Isetan. The deliciousness of their "Special Toshu-ri Parfait" crossed my mind. Last week, I visited the Gion main store after eating yakiniku at Aje Kiyamachi Danguri-ten, but I had to give up due to the long line. However, this time I remembered to check for crowds in advance. I only had to wait for 15 minutes before entering the store. I ordered the "Special Toshu-ri Parfait" again and was impressed by its taste. The sweetness after yakiniku, it was truly a blissful time.

I like matcha, but sometimes it makes my stomach feel heavy, so this time I tried hojicha ice instead. The matcha soda had a refreshing yuzu flavor. The air conditioning was strong, so by the time I finished eating, my body was completely chilled, but I revived with the warm hojicha served as a service. 😂

"Charyo Tsururi" in Kyoto is known as the epitome of matcha sweets. I visited with my wife as soon as it opened on a holiday. We ordered the recommended "Special Tsururi Parfait". The balance of bitterness and sweetness of Uji matcha was exquisite, and the elegant sweetness spread in my mouth, making me feel impressed with just one bite. Gion Tsujiri was born in Gion, where the historical atmosphere of Kyoto breathes for over 70 years. I was able to fully enjoy its deep history and tradition in the form of a parfait. The charm of Charyo Tsururi is not only in enjoying sweets, but also in feeling Kyoto's culture and history together.

I visited the Charyo Tadashiro Kyoto Isetan store on the 6th floor of Kyoto Station Isetan and ordered the Shiratama Cream Anmitsu (1111 yen). The matcha used in the shiratama and ice cream is rich and delicious. The red beans, shiratama, and agar are all delicious on their own. I also enjoyed the roasted green tea that was served with it. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In Kyoto, I decided to have my last snack at "Miyako Sato" in Isetan Kyoto Station. It was around 4:30 pm on a weekday, and there was a long line. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was able to enter the store. Among the many parfaits available, I chose the White Dumpling Parfait (¥1,265) because I love white dumplings! When it was brought to me, they advised me to eat it quickly because the white dumplings would harden over time. I immediately tried it, and the handmade white dumplings were soft and chewy - so delicious! It also had matcha cream, sponge cake, and agar in it. The portion was just right. This place is convenient in the station, and I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

When I go to Kyoto, I always feel like having a matcha parfait from Tolo Ri. This time, I visited after a long time. It was a Monday on a weekday, so I was able to get in without waiting. I ordered the special Tolo Ri parfait - matcha flavor - and the seasonal limited edition Tsukigeshi. The Tolo Ri parfait is delicious, but the Tsukigeshi is a refreshing summer parfait with sencha jelly, red bean paste, roll cake, jam, and peach ingredients, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. I look forward to checking out the limited edition parfaits in the future.

I took a short break as I had some extra time. I ordered the chilled zenzai for 1397 yen. It came with vanilla ice cream, red bean paste dumplings, chestnuts, and red bean sauce, creating a harmonious blend that you can easily enjoy in one bite. If your mouth gets too sweet, you can try the salted kelp. The chilled matcha served with it is not too sweet, making it a perfect match with the zenzai. I also enjoyed the hot hojicha after the meal.

The restaurant had many seats, and even on my day off, there were people waiting to be seated. The interior was a bit cool with the air conditioning. They mainly served matcha and hojicha with a variety of sweets, and I had a parfait. It wasn't too sweet, and the shiratama was soft and delicious.

My wife and I visited a popular restaurant on the 6th floor of JR Kyoto Isetan during our trip to Kyoto. It was so popular that we had to get a ticket and wait for 60 minutes. We wandered around the station underground while waiting. When we received a notification, we were guided to our table. The straight tea was delicious, as expected in Kyoto. The restaurant was always full and very popular. Thank you for the meal!

I visited in the early afternoon and decided to stop by the restaurant. I was able to get a table without waiting for more than 30 minutes. By chance, I was seated by the window with a nice view of Kyoto Tower. I ordered the special matcha parfait, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. They also served me hojicha tea to go with the matcha parfait, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time. Next time, I would like to try the hojicha parfait.

I have been going to a popular restaurant on the 6th floor of JR Kyoto Isetan for about two years now. There are chairs outside the entrance where you wait, and the staff checks the number of people waiting. As each person enters, the chairs are moved closer together. When called, you move to the chairs inside to wait. When a seat becomes available, you are called in order. They greet you with "okoshiyasu" instead of "irasshaimase," which is very Kyoto-like. This time I was alone, so I preferred a counter seat, but it was not available, so I agreed to a table seat. I ordered the roasted green tea parfait this time. They mentioned that the white rice cakes can become tough over time, so it's best to eat them quickly. The parfait had a balanced taste of roasted green tea, not too sweet or bitter. The diced roasted green tea jelly was especially delicious. It turns out this is my third time ordering this menu item. They serve hot roasted green tea regardless of the season, which goes well with cold desserts. I went back again on 6/1 and ordered the white rice cake parfait. The plain and matcha white rice cakes were delicious.

I stopped by this place alone during my trip. It was around 3 pm on a weekday, and there were about 5 people waiting ahead of me. Despite that, the turnover seemed to be good, and I was able to enter the shop in about 15 minutes. When you think of Kyoto, you think of matcha, right? I had always wanted to visit Toru-Sato. It was my first visit, so I was debating whether to go for the standard parfait, but I ended up ordering the limited-time Chagetsu. I couldn't resist the words "limited-time". It was perfect for this hot season with the refreshing acidity of lemon. Of course, the matcha ice cream and jelly were rich, and the balance with the lemon was exquisite. It was delicious. The soft cookie was moist and tasty, so I bought a hojicha flavor as a souvenir for myself. You can also enjoy the view of Kyoto Tower right in front of you. If I ever come back to Kyoto, I will visit again. I think I'll go for the standard parfait next time, but I'll probably be drawn to the limited-time option again...

After a long time, I came to Isetan and had lunch at Miyako-ri ♡ I tried the cold tea soba and the special Miyako-ri parfait (^^) I changed the ice cream from vanilla to matcha! Under the matcha ice cream, there was matcha sherbet, and underneath that, more matcha ice cream ♡ It was sweet and delicious (^^) I usually don't like whipped cream, but the one here was delicious! I was surprised by the amount of tea soba, but then I realized there was ice hidden inside! The special Miyako-ri parfait is very voluminous and very good ♡ I was thinking of adding shiratama, but there were already 5 or 6 pieces inside the parfait, so I'm glad I didn't order it! Very satisfied (^^) My friend had warm soba and Miyako-ri parfait.
