At the Michelin-starred restaurant Misono Mita Honten, which has won the Michelin award for three consecutive years, you can enjoy that famous sukiyaki in Roppongi. First of all, the entrance of the restaurant is exceptional! The interior has a calm atmosphere, and when you enter a private room, it feels like a place where business meetings or gatherings take place. Although the restaurant has a high-class vibe, the beautiful and young female owner is friendly and provides attentive service, making you feel relaxed without even realizing it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is top-notch, and the dishes, including the sukiyaki that won the Michelin award at the main branch, are incredible and make you want to come back for more. ---Course Menu--- Appetizer The appetizer with fresh fish is beautifully presented in a winter melon, and the white soy sauce jelly complements the fresh fish perfectly. The Shine Muscat, caviar, and other high-quality ingredients make it a truly luxurious experience. Tomato Sukiyaki The large, beautifully pink piece of meat for sukiyaki looks incredibly delicious. The addition of tomatoes, which was unexpected, enhances the flavor to the maximum. Cooking the ingredients in the broth, wrapping tomato and meat together, dipping in the egg, and tasting it is just amazing. Clay Pot Rice When you open the lid of the clay pot, you will see the stunning pink meat. The clay pot rice uses rice and meat from the same region, which enhances the umami flavor. Watching the meat being grilled in front of you and waiting for the dish to be ready is a blissful experience. Lastly, the finale of the meal is the rice soup with dashi. The gentle taste of the dashi and the delicious meat complement each other, creating a perfect balance of flavors. It was a truly blissful moment of enjoyment.

Kaiseki Mitabasara Bessou / <Inheriting and surpassing the original taste> @Roppongi, 5 minutes walk from Roppongi Station, Budget: 15000~ @yokozuna_tokyo ----------------------- It has been about 4 years since I visited the main store of Basara. The main store, which has been awarded one Michelin star for 3 consecutive years, has inherited the famous dish, tomato sukiyaki, and added a new menu item, a clay pot rice, to provide a menu with a higher sense of luxury and arrangement. This time, the special course includes tomato sukiyaki, clay pot rice, and sashimi. - Rare cut of tuna toro served as ice sashimi - Tomato sukiyaki using Matsuzaka beef ribs - Kettle rice with Oki beef sirloin and summer truffles The regular course costs around 12000 yen, including appetizers such as sashimi. The price range is set higher than the original Basara, but with an increased number of dishes and individual rooms for each guest, the setting is divided accordingly. Although it's been a few years since my last visit, I personally prefer the taste of the bessou over the main store. The tuna toro served at the beginning was also excellent. I thought the sirloin could have retained a bit more texture, but I was very satisfied when the broth was poured over it and the meat's fat oozed out! The location in a quiet area of Roppongi adds to the luxurious atmosphere, so be sure to visit. 【Yokozuna Report】 Taste → ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Appearance → ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere → ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service → ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cost performance → ⭐️⭐️⭐️(subjective) ------------------------ <Payment methods> Cards accepted, electronic money not accepted <Business hours> 【Lunch】Tue-Sat 12:00-15:00 (Last entry 13:00) 【Dinner】Mon-Sat 17:00-23:00 (Last entry 20:00) <Tabelog rating> 3.08 (Main store 3.51) <Reservation> By reservation only #YokozunaGourmet #YokozunaGourmetRoppongi #KaisekiCuisine #ClayPot #RoppongiDining #TomatoSukiyaki #Kaiseki #Mitabasara #MitabasaraBessou

I couldn't forget Mita Basara's "Tomato Sukiyaki," so I decided to visit a detached house with a different atmosphere. There is only one special room with a garden and projection mapping with carp, so reservations are required if you wish to stay there! Enjoy Kochi, Shimae shrimp, and Mizudako in a winter melon vessel, mixed with white soy sauce and dashi from Kyushu. The saltiness of caviar and the sweetness of muscat grapes add a nice touch! Wrap the marbled meat around Michan tomatoes, which have a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness that pairs well with the secret sukiyaki sauce. Accompanying the meat is a dragon egg grown in paprika. Finish with a rare Oki beef "donabe rice," made with Oki seaweed salt rice carefully selected by rice master Toyozou Nishijima. This special meal, combined with the lovely hospitality of the young proprietress, became a truly memorable experience! Menu: - Seasonal sashimi - Tomato sukiyaki - Donabe rice - Oolong tea Thank you for the feast.

Located a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station, this restaurant is like a hidden gem in a house at the end of a back alley. The menu includes dishes such as sashimi with Kochi fish, white shrimp, and water octopus served in a winter melon bowl with Kyushu white soy sauce jelly, tomato sukiyaki with Kagoshima wagyu rib roast and dragon egg, and clay pot rice with Shimane beef and selected rice by a rice sommelier, topped with truffles. The tomato sukiyaki is prepared by first adding garlic basil for aroma, then adding sauce, onions, tomatoes, and finally the meat, resulting in a surprising and delicious flavor. The attentive hostess takes care of everything, making the dining experience enjoyable. The Shimane rice and beef clay pot rice is a luxurious dish that is finished with truffles and can also be enjoyed as ochazuke by adding broth. The private room on the 3rd floor comes with a garden and features projection mapping of swimming koi carp. It is a quiet and peaceful place in Roppongi where you can enjoy a relaxing meal.

I tried the famous "Tomato Sukiyaki" made with premium Wagyu beef at Mita Basara. The new branch in Roppongi, which opened this year, is a hidden three-story house with a cozy atmosphere. The private room we were guided to had a terrace with a projection mapping of carp, creating a modern world with a mix of Japanese and Western elements. The seasonal sashimi, tuna otoro, and rare parts of the fish were incredibly delicious. The sukiyaki, with its unique use of olive oil and basil, brought out the best in the high-quality meat, and the combination of sweet caramel-like onions and tangy tomatoes was perfect. The chef's selection of tomatoes and onions added a unique touch to the traditional Mita Basara flavor. Another specialty was the luxurious dish of Kinki beef seared and topped with thick slices of truffle on rice cooked with selected five-star rice by a rice master. The firm texture and rich flavor of the rice, achieved through the challenging growing conditions, were truly captivating. The concept of "Basara," meaning to break common sense (a popular phrase from the Nanboku-cho period), was embodied in both the innovative ideas and the chef's dedication to sourcing ingredients. The warm and attentive hospitality of the hostess made the dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. This special meal would be appreciated for business entertaining or special occasions.

A restaurant in Roppongi known for its specialty "Tomato Sukiyaki" and awarded with one Michelin star for three consecutive years. It is a sister restaurant of "Nihon Ryori Mitabasara" and offers a blend of Japanese and Western cuisine in a Meiji-era style setting. The course menu (16,500 yen) includes seasonal ingredients and the famous "Tomato Sukiyaki". The dishes include Fuki Frith with Fuki Miso Sauce, Beef Fillet Rossini-style Sandwich, Awaji Island Cherry Sea Bream and Sweet Shrimp with Red Clam Jellied Broth, Grilled Spanish Mackerel with Garlic Oil and Simmered Spear Squid, among others. The highlight is the Akita Black Wagyu Rib Roast and Kyoto Tomato Sukiyaki, a western-style sukiyaki served with a special egg yolk. The meat is tender and juicy, and the addition of tomato gives a refreshing twist to the dish. It is recommended to pair the sukiyaki with Rose wine from California.

I was curious about the tomato sukiyaki and decided to visit the restaurant. I knew about the place but it was my first time going. It's located in a hidden spot in Roppongi, and when you enter, you forget you're in Roppongi with its luxurious traditional Japanese atmosphere. The restaurant has private rooms, and the menu includes dishes like deep-fried butterbur sprouts with butterbur miso sauce, beef fillet Rossini-style sandwich, and Awaji Island cherry sea bream and sweet shrimp in delicious broth jelly. The beef fillet Rossini-style sandwich was unexpectedly delicious. After dishes like grilled mackerel and fat greenling with kudzu starch, the tomato sukiyaki was served by the proprietress. The meat and tomatoes were delicious. I went with the intention of getting a second helping of meat, but there was so much food that I couldn't eat more (laughs). The sea urchin and Kyoto carrots, and thin bean clay pot rice was made with carefully selected rice by a rice master. It was my first time trying tomato sukiyaki, and it was delicious.

I was invited by an acquaintance to this restaurant. I had been to the main branch in Mita before and it was delicious, so I had high expectations. The restaurant is located in a back alley in Roppongi, with a simple and sophisticated exterior. I was led to a calm private room, different from the main branch, and this time I had a 7-course meal with wine pairing. To be honest, I was looking forward to the tomato sukiyaki, but all the other dishes were also delicious, pleasantly surprising me. Especially tasty was the beef fillet Rossini-style sandwich. The combination of lotus root, beef fillet, foie gras, and sauce was exquisite and delicious. And of course, the main dish, the tomato sukiyaki, was exceptional. The aroma of the cooking filled the room, and wrapping the tomato in meat, dipping it in egg, and eating it was recommended. The acidity of the tomato harmonized with the richness of the meat, creating a very elegant taste. The seasoning of the sauce was also perfect, leaving me completely satisfied. The rosé wine served with the sukiyaki also paired very well, enhancing the flavors. I was impressed by the choice that made the sukiyaki stand out even more. The sukiyaki alone was already satisfying, but the sea urchin and Kyoto carrot mixed rice served at the end was also very delicious. With the luxurious ingredients used in the course, the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, and the pleasant service, I would definitely like to come back again.

The place has a sophisticated atmosphere, and the young hostess provides excellent service. You can feel confident bringing guests here. The food is fantastic, and the facilities are great. The hidden location adds an interesting touch. However, the cost of drinks is a bit high. It can be 10-20% more expensive than expected, so please be aware of that.

The private rooms are very convenient for receptions. The location is great, close to Roppongi Station and easy to move on to the next place. If you don't choose expensive wines, you can be satisfied with around 20,000 yen per person.

Roppongi [Kaiseki Mitabasara Betten] Grand Opening on 3/17✨ I was invited to a media tasting event ahead of time and attended. The kaiseki course with alcohol pairing is recommended. Mitabasara Honten has earned one Michelin star for three consecutive years, but this renowned restaurant has now opened a new concept in Roppongi. The name "basara" represents the social trends and cultural fads of medieval to the Northern and Southern Courts period in Japan, meaning "breaking common sense." The fusion of Japanese and Western kaiseki dishes I tried truly reflected the origin of the name. The famous "Tomato Sukiyaki" from the Mitabasara main store was also served. The pot had a pleasant aroma of olive oil and garlic. Initially, it seemed Italian, but when the sukiyaki sauce was poured in, it instantly became a proper Japanese "sukiyaki" dish. The black wagyu rib loin had just the right amount of marbling and was impressively large. The juicy and acidic Kyoto tomatoes paired perfectly with the sukiyaki. The meal ended with a clay pot-cooked rice dish, "Seasonal Clay Pot Rice," individually prepared for each guest. The rice master, Toyozou Nishijima, selected the rice, and the dish featured sea urchin, Kyoto carrots, and light beans. The atmosphere of the three-story building in the backstreets of Roppongi incorporated a modern touch with a base of Japanese aesthetics. I was seated in a spacious private room on the third floor with a small garden. The pairing included four drinks from sparkling wine to red wine, sake, and rosé. The tasting menu included: - Appetizer: Fuki Shoots Fritter with Fuki Miso Sauce, 22-Month-Aged Mimolette Cheese - Main Course: Beef Fillet Rossini-style Sandwich - Sashimi: Sakura Sea Bream, Sweet Shrimp, Ark Shell with Delicious Broth Jelly - Soup: Steamed Ainame with Kudzu Starch - Signature Dish: Akita Black Wagyu Rib Loin Sukiyaki with Kyoto Tomato - Rice Dish: Sea Urchin, Kyoto Carrot, Light Bean Clay Pot Rice - Dessert: Matcha Financier with Amaou Strawberry Enjoying delicious food in a relaxing private room setting may be quite a luxury in today's world.

I had the chance to attend a tasting event the day before the opening of this restaurant. The combination of tomato, marbled meat, sukiyaki sauce, beaten egg was surprisingly perfect. The course meal costs 15,000 yen and includes dishes like caviar, foie gras, caviar, marbled meat, sea urchin, and amaou strawberries, arranged in colorful plates that women will love. The taste is also excellent. If you want to see a woman's happy face, this is the place to go. I will definitely come back!
