This is definitely the best place. It's a bit pricey, but the hospitality and quality are outstanding. There's a yakiniku restaurant nearby, but it feels more like a butcher shop. The meat is so delicious that there are no photos of it. The recommended seating is, of course, the private room. Perfect for a special occasion!

I love meat and have been curious about this restaurant for a while. It is recommended for those visiting Kyoto, as there are various sightseeing spots nearby such as Kennin-ji Temple. The entrance alone will get you excited, it's Kyoto after all! I had made a reservation, so they were waiting for me at the entrance. The private room was spacious and relaxing. There are several lunch options, with the main difference being the final dish. I chose the lunch set with white rice from Yagyū Hōeisan. The side dishes like namul and kimchi were average, but the meat was amazing! The salt variations were delicious, especially with freshly grated wasabi. The two sauces paired well with the rice. The pork loin was incredibly tasty, especially when it cooled down. I also ordered the limited quantity Yuke made with Yamagata beef, but it was just okay for the price. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal and the excellent service. I highly recommend the lunch course. I look forward to visiting again in the evening. Thank you for the delicious meal! ♡

All the red meat is tender and delicious. The upper mino is normal. Anyway, everything else is amazing. It's delicious. The soy sauce-based sauce tastes like sweet soy sauce poured over rice cakes, and it's delicious on meat or offal. I tried it when I got tired of salt. Both are the best.

This year, the best yakiniku restaurant I went to was a place where I made a reservation for a course meal. The first dish, Negi Shio Gyutan (green onion salted beef tongue), was absolutely amazing. I wish I could have eaten 10 more pieces of it. It was so delicious that I thought it would be great if they had other flavors like regular salt or thick-cut beef tongue. The second photo shows the high quality of the beef ribs and sirloin. Despite being ribs, they were not greasy at all, and the sirloin had a rich flavor. The third photo is of the yakiniku being cooked by the staff and dipped in egg. They cut it in half, so you can enjoy it with rice, which was truly irresistible. The fourth photo shows the quality of the triangular and skirt steak. The meat itself was incredibly flavorful. We wrapped it in lettuce and tried different condiments, all of which were delicious. The kimchi and namul (seasoned vegetables) platter was also surprisingly tasty. It had been a while since I had such a delicious meal at a restaurant. For dessert, we moved to the second floor and enjoyed ice cream and tea in a nice atmosphere. It was a highly satisfying dining experience. The staff were also very polite. I definitely want to go back again.

I used lunch and dinner consecutively ^-^ I have been to many yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto, but Karoku is definitely the best ♡ Everything I ate was delicious~! They also served unique cuts during lunch, which were also delicious! Thank you for accommodating my many requests, such as additional orders ^-^ Personally, the egg over rice was absolutely delicious (^^)

I had a meal in Gion, Kyoto. I wanted to eat at a place that felt like Kyoto, but many nearby restaurants were either expensive or crowded with tourists, making it a difficult decision. However, I ended up visiting this restaurant. It is located inside a well-known tempura restaurant and doesn't look like a yakiniku restaurant from the outside. The meat was excellent, but the drinks seemed a bit pricey, typical of Kyoto. I felt a bit guilty for not having a more humble mindset. Nevertheless, it's nice to visit such a restaurant occasionally, not just for entertaining guests. Also, the makgeolli was delicious.

Located on Yasaka Street facing the back of Kennin-ji Temple, this yakiniku restaurant is surrounded by famous shops like Tempura Endo. This time, we tried the Yakiniku Deer Six Course at night. It starts with a platter of 5 kinds of namul and a light salad with green onions and lettuce. The grilled dishes feature carefully selected black wagyu beef, including tongue, kalbi, and sirloin seasoned with salt. For the marinated dishes, we had skirt steak, skirt meat, and tenderloin. The skirt meat had a nice chew to it, and all the meats were rich in fat. The rice dish was a mini bibimbap. You can also enjoy white rice with the marinated dishes. The wakame soup had meat in it. Finally, we enjoyed a refreshing yuzu sherbet. We dined in a private room on the left side as soon as we entered, which was spacious enough for about 6 people and had a view of the garden. The staff adjusted the speed of serving the dishes to our pace, making our dining experience comfortable.

A calm restaurant on Yasaka Street in Gion, Kyoto. Located in an area with many traditional Japanese restaurants, they offer private rooms and a 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink option. Menu items include Namul, Kimchi, Tan Salt, Kalbi, Shintama, and more. They also offer a selection of wine, shochu, Chita whiskey, and plum wine. The quality of the meat is good and the service is excellent, making it a great place with a nice atmosphere.

After a long time, I had a luxurious lunch at Karoku. The Negitan in the Kawasho course was very delicious! It was a weekday, so it felt almost like a private room as they guided us to a private room. The Harami, Hare, Karubi, Kainomi, and Sankaku Bara were all very tender and delicious, although I didn't take a photo. There was also kimchi, and all the meats were thick and very satisfying. The finale of cold noodles was also voluminous and good. The Kinako ice cream was also delicious. I will definitely come back again.

This is my second visit. I had the 8800 yen lunch course. The meat and side dishes like Namul were delicious, and you can relax in a spacious environment with a view of the garden. You can choose from rice dishes like Kuppa and Stone Pot Bibimbap. I chose Bibimbap again this time, and it was incredibly delicious. The service was excellent, and I hope to visit at night next time.

I visited the yakiniku restaurant "Gion Karoku" on Yasaka Street. I was looking for a yakiniku restaurant with a good atmosphere and this place came up. Although we didn't have a private room this time, the tables were spaced apart so we didn't feel crowded by other customers. We ordered a la carte dishes, including seared prime rib sushi with caviar, special salted green onion tongue, and yukhoe, and they were all excellent. The meat was tender and delicious. This is a great place to visit for special occasions.

I visited with a friend in Kyoto. I was surprised by the atmosphere and taste near Yasaka Ennodo, famous for tempura! The slightly dim lighting that makes you feel like you're in Kyoto, the traditional Japanese courtyard. The staff's service was also wonderful, recommending wine pairings that were also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This was my first visit to "Gion Shakuro" located on Yasaka Street, where many famous shops in Gion are lined up. I made a lunch reservation in advance and went there. The restaurant is located in the atmosphere of Yasaka Street. As you walk on stepping stones, you will reach the entrance. We were guided to a room with 4 tables. The room had a traditional feel to it. We ordered the "Rikyu" course for 7700 yen (about 8000 yen including tax), which included a selection of 5 types of namul, kimchi assortment, selected black wagyu beef (upper tongue, salt-grilled 2 types - Shinshin from Miyazaki, Sayukakubara), grilled with sauce 2 types (Kainomi, Kuri from Omi beef), choice of rice dish (stone-grilled bibimbap for me, Yukkejang kookpa for my wife), and yuzu sherbet. The meat was delicious as it seemed to be a rare cut. The namul and kimchi were served in cute portions, but the quantity was small. The price was reasonable. We paid 8000 yen for lunch, and although the food was delicious, we felt disappointed because the portions were small and we didn't feel full. We wished there was more to fill our stomachs. The bibimbap also had a small amount of rice and ingredients, which was disappointing. By the time we left, there didn't seem to be any other customers besides us.

Yasaka Street. Next to Gion Sasagi. Tempura Endo and Yakiniku Hiro are also nearby. I remember that a few years ago they served beef from Okinawa prefecture. This time, we had a table in a sunken kotatsu. I forgot to ask where the beef was from this time.

I was recommended to go to a very delicious yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto by my family, located in the beautiful Gion area, next to Tempura Endo. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and having private rooms was a plus. This time, I ordered the Karoku course with all-you-can-drink option. The course menu included Namul assortment, salad, 3 types of salt-grilled meat, 3 types of sauce-grilled meat, rice (choice of white rice or Bibimbap), and dessert. I was already full after this, and couldn't even finish the 3 pieces of sauce-grilled meat, but my companions (male) seemed to want more and ordered additional white rice and 2 more types of meat. The meat was indeed very delicious! I was happy to see my favorite Kalbi included in the course. The wine in the all-you-can-drink option was also tasty and satisfying, but for those who don't drink alcohol, the only options were oolong tea or carbonated water, which might be a bit challenging.

I used it for dinner with friends. The private room was very cozy with a Japanese-style building. The yukhoe was delicious, worth the price. The side dishes like namul and kimchi were also tasty. I had mochi for dessert, which was a fun and fresh experience as you don't often have mochi for dessert at a yakiniku restaurant.

Gion Shakuro is a yakiniku restaurant located a 12-15 minute walk from Gion Shijo Station. It has a beautiful atmosphere similar to a traditional Japanese inn and offers attentive service. The restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants in the west in 2020. While dinner can be a bit pricey, their lunch menu offers a more affordable option to enjoy rare cuts of beef. I tried the Gion Shakuro lunch set which included kalbi, marushin salt-grilled beef, loin, and kuri tare-grilled beef. Each set had 2 pieces of 4 different cuts of beef, all of which were flavorful and satisfying. You can also order additional meat if you'd like. This is a perfect spot for those looking to have a satisfying lunch before exploring Kyoto. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had lunch at a traditional yakiniku restaurant located in a quiet area of Higashiyama. The restaurant, renovated from a machiya, offers a stylish and relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious yakiniku. The tongue is a specialty here. The meat is delicious, and the staff's service is excellent. The yuzu sherbet was the best I've ever had. It's a restaurant where the price matches the satisfaction.

First visit. Alcohol prohibition in Kyoto during the state of emergency. Private room use. The meat is thought to be chilled and has a rich flavor. The offal is also fresh and delicious. The location is easy to find, the service is attentive. A great place for meat lovers. I will visit again next time!

I had lunch at a yakiniku restaurant, it's been a while since I had yakiniku. The tongue is supposed to be a specialty, but I already knew that. It's been a while since I last visited. I had marushin, sankaku, rosu, and tonbi. There was too much sashi. It was tender but the flavor was a bit light. It was delicious with the juice! It was delicious!

The recommended course costs 11,000 yen. The meat comes out in a portion of two slices per person, which feels quite substantial due to the thick cuts. However, the grilled meat stuck to the grill and was a bit disappointing. Also, there were leftover eggs which seemed wasteful, especially since they were from Nagoya Cochin chickens. The kimchi was particularly delicious. I ended up ordering an additional serving of it. It had a strong sweetness and was very tasty. For dessert, I had Yukkejang Kuppa which filled me up nicely. My companion had the cold noodles, which I tried a bit of and found the thin noodles to be quite unusual. It made for a light and easy-to-eat dish. After the meal, we moved to the second-floor seating with a view of Kyoto Tower and enjoyed coffee gelato. I really liked the atmosphere on the second floor.

When I looked it up, there were many yakiniku restaurants, but I found one with a limited-time lunch plate and made a reservation. You can choose from two types of meat - charcoal-grilled plate with loin, harami, or kalbi, and it comes with rice, kimchi, salad, and wakame soup. I ordered harami and kalbi, both were tender and satisfying. Harami was refreshing while kalbi had more fat, so alternating between the two and having salad in between made it easy to keep eating. The vegetables included were satisfying, with thick green onions. The meat was delicious without any complaints, so I want to try different meats at dinner next time.
