Located in the Mashu area of Teshikaga Town, this restaurant is situated where the national highway overlaps. There is a spacious parking lot around the building. During a visit to my hometown, I stayed overnight at Kawakami Onsen, but the hotel I stayed at did not include dinner, so I decided to stop by this restaurant. Daisetsu Ramen has branches in various locations in Hokkaido, such as Sapporo Ramen Yokocho and New Chitose Airport, but this is the main branch. The interior is quite spacious with counter seats, table seats, and sunken kotatsu seats. Although it was a bit late for dinner, the restaurant was bustling with many customers, indicating its popularity. The ramen menu offers a variety of options, and while I usually order the "Fish Broth Soy Sauce" at other branches, this time I tried the "Daisetsu Soy Sauce (900 yen)" which was described as the origin of Daisetsu Ramen. It was ready in about 8 minutes. The Daisetsu Soy Sauce ramen had an old-fashioned soup that was light yet full of umami, evoking a sense of nostalgia for me, and it was delicious. The slightly soft and chewy thin noodles paired well with the soup. While preferences may vary, personally, I found the "Daisetsu Soy Sauce" to be more delicious than the "Fish Broth Soy Sauce," so I recommend it to those who enjoy soy sauce ramen.

Located near Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo, "Teshikaga Ramen" is a popular restaurant with long lines. I visited around 2 PM on a holiday, well past lunchtime, and the seats were quickly filled up. I ordered the "Seafood Shoyu Ramen (¥950)", which is the most popular menu item made with scallops from Okhotsk, various seafood, and vegetables cooked together with a soy sauce base. After a 5-minute wait, the ramen was finally served! The Sapporo-style yellow curly noodles had a firm texture that mixed well with the soup. The soup had a rich umami flavor from the balanced combination of pork bone and seafood. The layered seafood aroma that lingers in the nose reminded me of the vast Okhotsk Sea. The char siu had a tender texture and a lightly seared smoky flavor that added a nice touch. It was delicious and I finished it in no time! If you are exploring the area, I highly recommend this ramen shop. Thank you for the meal!!!

It was my first visit in years, but the soy sauce ramen still tasted as delicious as ever. The soy sauce flavor is light with a hint of sweetness. The restaurant is popular, so it can get crowded, but they use a calling bell system so you don't have to wait in line and the turnover is fast. The parking lot is fairly spacious and there are also terrace seats available.

Near the Moerenuma Park Station, there is a ramen shop with a spacious and easy-to-access parking lot. I visited on a weekday and it was a bit crowded during lunchtime. I thought the food might take a while to be served because of the crowd, but it was quick. I ordered miso ramen and wasabi rolls. Mixing the meat miso and ginger, I took a bite. It was THE Hokkaido ramen. The flavor was rich but not overpowering, creamy but not heavy. It was a dish that seemed like you could drink up all the broth. The wasabi rolls had a fantastic aroma of wasabi that cleared the sinuses. It had a sharp kick and made me tear up. The shop has a focus on different types of ramen with variations in chashu cuts, noodle thickness, and types. Despite being named "Teshikaga," there is only one shop in Teshikaga Town, which is a bit puzzling, right? (Many other shops in Sapporo)

This is the first stop on my trip to Eastern Hokkaido. It took about 6 hours to drive from Sapporo and we finally arrived. We arrived in the early afternoon and had to wait for about three groups ahead of us. We were seated after about 10 minutes. We tried the seafood soy sauce and garlic gyoza. The soy sauce tasted a bit light, but the gyoza was flavorful, maybe that's why? Both dishes were delicious.

Hokkaido Roaming Journey 105 In Shibecha Town Two weeks ago, I couldn't eat at Hanakoya because it was sold out Today, right after opening, they should have Crab Burger. Not available! It's delayed in arrival and will be available in the afternoon. Let's give up as it wasn't meant to be. I decided to try the Red Dragon that I was curious about just as they opened. I ordered the Red Dragon and Black Pork Dumplings. It tasted like miso-flavored Dan Dan noodles, not too spicy. The original spice with sansho pepper goes well with it. The black pork dumplings were just delicious. After that, I went to the entrance of Shirafuji Falls, but I had to descend a wet steep slope so I gave up. The weather is bad, so the view of Lake Onneto is not great. I went to see the Yuno Falls while being scared of bears.

Arrived at around 1:00 pm during the summer vacation period. Even at this time, the lunch rush was in full swing, with several groups already waiting in their cars. We checked in and waited. After about 30 minutes, we were seated. The seafood shoyu ramen was popular here, so my companion ordered that, while I opted for the Shishikotan spicy miso ramen, and we also got 5 pieces of Jizou garlic dumplings. Our order arrived in about 10 minutes. First, I tried the spicy miso soup... It had a stronger salty taste than sweet, with a toasty aroma that added a nice touch. The minced meat miso on top seemed to be the key to the spiciness, so I mixed it in and took another sip... Huh? Not spicy at all. Well, I guess everyone's sensitivity to spiciness is different, so I sprinkled some shichimi pepper from the table to enhance the heat. There was also grated garlic available, so I added that too and enjoyed it until the end! The seafood shoyu ramen (no photo) had a prominent dried fish flavor and a savory soy sauce taste, which was also delicious. Even though the dried fish flavor was prominent, it was not too overwhelming, so even I, who isn't a big fan of super fishy broths, could enjoy it. Both ramen featured thick curly noodles that provided a satisfying chew. The noodles really soaked up the soup! The Jizou garlic dumplings were bite-sized and easy to eat, and I finished the plate in no time! However, I couldn't really taste the Jizou garlic flavor... Well, maybe my taste buds have been dulled since I eat Jizou garlic directly in dishes like salads every year when it's in season. In any case, it was a satisfying and reasonably priced meal, and I left feeling content with my lunch! Thank you for the meal! ✨

Hokkaido Wanderlust Trip 78 In the town of Teshikaga, I thought it would be empty at 2:00 PM, but it was full with a lot of people waiting. There was a person like a manager next to the register who gave me a pager. When I asked if it would be about a one-hour wait, he said it wouldn't take that long. I decided to wait in the car, but then felt the pager vibrating. The manager said, "It's ready now," with a grin. There are four stores in Sapporo, one in Chitose, and surprisingly one in Nagashima, Mie Prefecture. There are a total of six stores. The most popular menu item at all stores is the Seafood Soy Sauce Ramen for 950 yen. The main store had a limited 20 servings left. The ramen has a rich and mellow soy sauce flavor with two pieces of char siu with a sear and half an egg. Even though it's 950 yen, it's worth it. Furthermore, the Thick Char Siu adds a considerable volume to the dish. The Thick Char Siu is so tender that it falls apart when picked up with chopsticks. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

I went to see otters at Cape Notoro and then visited Michi-no-Eki Bihoro-toge for a late lunch, but it was already 4 pm. I decided to revisit the popular restaurant in Abashiri, where it quickly filled up with customers after I entered. I ordered the seafood soy sauce ramen for 950 yen and a mini fried rice for 300 yen from the evening menu.

Fish broth soy sauce ramen for 950 yen and five pieces of garlic gyoza for 320 yen. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles. The soup is strong in seafood flavor, much richer than Kushiro ramen, but well-balanced and delicious. The gyoza is quite small, but is it worth the price? I just wished it had a stronger garlic flavor. It was not satisfying enough. My wife had the Shibetsu spicy miso ramen for 950 yen. This is also a rich and flavorful miso ramen. It's not very spicy, but for an extra 50 yen, you can make it extra spicy. We went on a summer Saturday around 1 pm and waited for about 15 minutes in line with six groups ahead of us. The ramen is delicious, but the prices are on the higher side. Whether it's worth waiting in line for is debatable.

There were many cars lined up around the store, and I finally found a parking space. When I entered the store, I was given a menu and a pager. I was told I was the fourth in line, but the wait wasn't long, so I went outside to look at the menu. After about 5 minutes, the pager went off and I went inside to take my seat. I ordered the "Tokachi Miso" ramen for 950 yen and waited. The store was busy with customers coming in one after another, but the turnover seemed to be good. The ramen arrived quickly, with half a boiled egg, wakame seaweed, meat miso, stir-fried bean sprouts and Chinese cabbage, and chashu pork. The noodles were curly and the miso had a rich flavor, with the soup being delicious. I melted the meat miso and enjoyed the increasing richness of the flavor. Initially, I thought this store was famous for its seafood soy sauce ramen, but the miso ramen was also quite flavorful.

I have reviewed this place many times, so I'll keep it simple. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday, a bit past the usual rush hour, so I was able to get in easily. I ordered the seafood shio ramen after a long time. It was really delicious! The seafood flavor was strong and the saltiness of the shio was just right. I almost finished all the soup, it was so good. That's the sign of a tasty ramen, right? Come to think of it, there are still some menu items I haven't tried yet. I should go back when it's not too busy. Thank you for the meal!

First of all, I visited this place for ramen, which seems to be quite popular as there were many people eating outside. It seems like I ordered the wrong type of ramen, as they brought me miso instead. They told me to go ahead and eat it, but I didn't want to waste it, so I ended up eating both. It was really spicy and I don't like being wasteful.

I stopped by a famous ramen shop called "Teshikaga Ramen" while driving near Teshikaga, known for New Chitose Airport and Ramen Alley. I tried the three main menu items: Teshikaga Shoyu, Teshikaga Miso, and Mukashi Shoyu. Among these three, the Mukashi Shoyu was the most delicious. It is a classic soy sauce ramen with a rich umami flavor that feels modern. It's a rare and tasty bowl. The miso ramen had a healthy taste with the flavor of vegetables. The seasoned meat miso and the chunky chashu were also good. The signature shoyu ramen was just a decent soy sauce ramen. The restaurant was popular with a few people waiting even after 3 pm on a weekday. I was a bit concerned about the atmosphere of the restaurant, the taste of the ramen, and the slight impression of it becoming a chain store.

I visited in the early evening on a weekday (18:30). There were only a few customers, mostly individuals dining alone. I was seated in a raised tatami seating area and ordered the original "Teshikaga Shoyu Ramen" and a side of mini fried rice set for ¥1,200.

After sightseeing, I chose this place for dinner. I actually wanted to eat here for lunch, but there were about 40 people waiting in the scorching heat, so I gave up. I ordered the Miso Chashu Soup, and it was amazing. The miso soup had a rich flavor with miso minced meat balls that melted in your mouth. When combined with the bouncy noodles from Sagamiya Seimen, it was absolutely delicious. The chashu was also perfectly seared and tender. I now understand why there were 40 people waiting in the heat. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I conquered the miso flavor at all the ramen shops in Chitose Airport Ramen Dojo, and among them, I chose Shikaoi Ramen as my personal top 3 because it was delicious. So, when I went on a trip to Eastern Hokkaido, I brought my family to the main shop. My daughter had miso ramen, and for the first time, my wife and I ordered Shikaoi soy sauce ramen. As someone who prefers lighter flavors, the soy sauce ramen was too strong for me, and I realized that miso ramen suits me better. My wife also liked the miso ramen (she ended up sharing my daughter's soup). We also ordered some gyoza, which was delicious with a very gentle flavor. My daughter loved the miso ramen so much that the next day, we stopped by to buy some ramen as souvenirs.

After walking, I visited around 2 pm and it was crowded, but I was able to find a seat. I usually don't drink much of the soup when eating ramen, but this time I ended up finishing the soup before the noodles. Maybe it was because I had just exercised. It was delicious. The smiles of the staff were also lovely. Seafood soy sauce ramen 950 yen, Mountain wasabi roll 320 yen.

After soaking in Tokachidake Onsen, I went to this recommended restaurant. Even though it was past 1 PM, there were quite a few customers waiting, indicating that it is a popular place. I ordered the seafood soy sauce ramen and Tokachidake miso ramen. The seafood soy sauce ramen had a slightly overpowering seafood flavor... maybe salt would have been a better choice. I wanted to try the salt version. The noodles were medium thickness and delicious. The staff were friendly and it made me happy.

Located in the bustling town of Teshikaga, which is also a key transportation hub, we visited the popular ramen shop "Teshikaga Ramen Main Store." Even after 1:30 PM, there were plenty of cars lined up in front of the shop, indicating its popularity. I ordered the miso ramen, while my child ordered the nostalgic ramen. The ramen from this popular shop was topped with elaborate ingredients, giving it a luxurious feel. However, I felt that the taste was overly complicated, lacking a good overall balance. In particular, the seaweed (nori) topping on the nostalgic ramen had a strange fishy smell that bothered me while eating. It may just be my personal preference, but I believe that the satisfaction level would be much higher without that seaweed. On a positive note, the staff at the shop were very friendly and provided good service.

The ramen shop in Shibecha is still crowded as usual. This time, I ordered the Red Dragon ramen. I was looking forward to it being very spicy, but the spiciness was only at the level of other shops' spicy miso ramen, and the flavor was a bit weak. It would be better if they added a bit more punch and sharpness to it...
