Located in the Deli Zone of Tokyu Food Show in front of Shibuya Station, "Shibuchika" is a bento shop that specializes in fish-based bento boxes. The shop is situated in what is commonly known as the "depachika," with a display case showcasing food samples of the bento boxes. It is operated by the long-established seafood processing company from Tsukiji, "Aji no Hamafuji." The bento boxes are priced starting from 1,080 yen for a single compartment, with the most popular option being the Gindara Saikyo-yaki bento priced at 1,890 yen. All the bento boxes sold are under the brand name "Tsukiji Fish Bento." The one I tried was the Red Salmon and Takikomi Gohan bento priced at 1,280 yen. The red salmon used in the bento is a high-quality type of salmon, different from trout or silver salmon. It is cooked using a steaming or warm air method, resulting in a tender texture. The side dishes are all substantial, with the simmered ganmodoki in broth being particularly delicious. The seasonal takikomi gohan features clams in spring, cooked in a ginger soy sauce base that imparts a subtle flavor to the rice. The simmered fuki and carrots are cooked in a standard dashi broth. The seasoned hijiki has a rich flavor and a pleasant aroma. The bamboo shoot beneath the red salmon is seasoned with sansho pepper, adding a nice fragrance. The tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) has a slightly sweet flavor, reminiscent of the tamagoyaki served at sushi restaurants. Overall, this bento shop offers elegant, high-quality, and delicious bento boxes with a touch of sophistication, typical of depachika establishments.

I purchased a bento box called "Nori Bento" from a Japanese food shop inside Tokyu Food Show near Shibuya Station. The main dish is grilled salmon belly, with various side dishes such as simmered dishes. It is delicious. On top of the rice, there are bonito flakes and seaweed, so you can eat it even without the side dishes. It's a good bento box that can be enjoyed as a snack with alcohol or as a meal.

Located in a food market beneath a private railway station in Shibuya, this deli shop offers a variety of delicious options. While initially mistaking it for the main store, I found it under a rival railway's food market. After narrowing down my choices on Tabelog, I decided to look for dinner, separate from the yakitori I had purchased elsewhere. Upon browsing the showcase, I came across an eel liver skewer for 432 yen, which was perfect. I paid with my transportation IC card, received a complimentary paper bag, and took it home. The eel liver skewer, paired with the same sauce and seven-spice seasoning as my yakitori, was a delightful combination of tender liver and occasional bitterness that I enjoy.
