Had dinner with a friend at Isomaru Suisan on Nakamachi Street in Ueno. This restaurant has a stove where you can enjoy seafood barbecue. It's quite crowded, but the surroundings are still a bit sketchy. A guy in black clothes kept bothering us with his loud voice. It was not a very pleasant area to be in.

We used it for the second party of the company drinking party. The first party asked a woman to be the organizer, but the second party was completely in old man mode. The shop is located near the entrance of Ueno Nakamachi Street. It was the end of October on a weekday, and the state of emergency had already been lifted, but the city was still far from its usual lively atmosphere, and we were able to enter the shop immediately without waiting. The smoke from grilling fish is billowing, but it's been a while since I've seen this kind of thing, and it's nice. Although everyone has received two doses of the vaccine and tested negative on a PCR test, we had fun after agreeing that poking eyes with chopsticks was off-limits. I wonder when the time will come when we can go out for a drink normally.

Today's drinking session was at my favorite restaurant, Isomaru♡ I looked up Isomaru and was surprised to find that it's a favorite of Natsumi's. Among all the places she likes, Isomaru is her favorite. First, we toasted with a dangerous drink made by mixing shochu and plum wine, and then we started with the appetizers. I really like this appetizer! The assorted shellfish platter was delicious, especially the whelk, as I'm not a big fan of turban shells. I love seafood salad, so I pretty much finished it all by myself. The crab miso here is a must-try, it's so creamy and delicious. And the crab fried rice with crab miso on top was as amazing as Kenkoba said on TV. The octopus wiener was a fun dish, and the seaweed omelette was also great. I ordered a few other dishes, but as usual, I forgot to take pictures. I just love Isomaru♡

Yesterday's lunch was my first visit to Isomaru Suisan on Nakamachi Street. It was a bit cold with light rain, so I hesitated to order sashimi. Instead, I went with the recommended salmon set meal. Thick-cut sweet salted salmon set meal for 979 yen. This was a jackpot. I had to wait for about 20 minutes after ordering, but when I saw the thickness of the salmon, I understood why. The thick sweet salted salmon had a satisfying texture, and the weekly special side dish included fried white fish, potato salad, seaweed soup, pickles, and a small dessert, making me feel full. This is just for this one dish, but it was a very satisfying lunch!

I had a meeting with a client on my day off, so I decided to have a seafood meal at Isomaru Suisan Ueno Nakamachi-dori store. It's a chain restaurant, but the Negitoro Maguro bowl, Kanpachi sesame dressing, etc. were delicious and good value for money. The Pacific saury this year didn't have much fat, but since it was the first of the season, I was satisfied. The deep-fried fresh squid was perfect as a snack. It's really convenient that Isomaru serves alcohol from lunchtime.

On Friday night before 11pm, the restaurant was full. But the seafood rice bowl came out quickly! It's a good value and recommended for those who want to eat in a short amount of time. Even for those with sensitive tongues! Haha The whole meal took about 10 minutes! It cost 1280 yen. It was more satisfying than conveyor belt sushi.

I entered the restaurant around 7pm on Sunday. Since it was the last day of the holiday, there were hardly any Japanese customers, but the place was bustling with tourists from East Asia. There was a large tank near the entrance with live scallops and shellfish. I ordered a variety of dishes, but my favorite was the self-grilled Hamayaki. The butter soy sauce scallops grilled on the beach were incredibly delicious. I love Hamayaki, but I have a weak stomach, so I often end up eating them half raw while drinking, leading to discomfort the next day. Despite this, the Hamayaki at Isomaru Suisan never disappoints and is consistently delicious whenever I visit.

Hello. It's Ruu. This is my first post of the new year. I really wanted to eat crab miso, so I came to Isomaru Suisan! I couldn't decide between Kanidouraku and Isomaru, but since I wanted crab miso and not just crab meat, Isomaru was the right choice! And ta-da! This is seriously delicious. It's probably mixed with various ingredients, so it's different from regular crab miso, but that's why it's so tasty. I wonder why it's so good. By the way, crab miso is apparently related to organs like the liver. My wife thought it was brain until recently... I had grilled clams for around 2000 yen! They bring live clams from the tank. I struggled with the turban shell, but the lady took it out for me! Thank you (・∇・) I'm always unsure how long to grill them, but they were delicious. Sushi at Isomaru! It cost around 1000 yen. It's in the same price range as Sushizanmai, but the toppings here are significantly larger and thicker. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. My wife ordered the shrimp mayo because it had good reviews online. The shrimp were surprisingly large and had a good texture. Overall, I was satisfied with the restaurant. They have branches in various drinking districts and are open 24 hours, so I understand why they are thriving. Just be aware that your clothes will smell bad, so dress in something you don't mind getting smelly. In winter, the smell sticks to your coat, and you'll feel down on the way home because you smell too much.

The food is still delicious as always, but the service from a certain girl was bad.

We used it together. We used it for the first time, but it was an interesting restaurant where you can grill seafood on your own table. The alcohol was at a normal level, but the atmosphere and fun factor might add some points. The food was delicious. It was the first time I grilled scallops and clams myself. It's a restaurant that makes you want to go back for the fun of it.

It is a casual izakaya chain restaurant where you can always feel comfortable. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively with many people enjoying drinks, typical of Ueno.
