I was surprised that it was affordable even though it was fugu. I found it in a building with various shops in front of Shibuya Station, the Mizuho Bank building. I had heard that the prices at Genpin were reasonable, and it turned out to be true. We could choose a course for each person, so I ordered one serving of fugu karaage and one serving without karaage. Since I drink a lot, I opted for the all-you-can-drink option for 2000 yen. There were many tourists among the customers. They seem to know this place well. The bill came to about 16,000 yen, but I was satisfied with being able to enjoy fugu at this price. The atmosphere was light, making it perfect for a late dinner. I heard that if you make a reservation by the day before, you can change the zosui to noodles from Iida Shoten for an additional fee. I was excited about Iida Shoten, so I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The food was delicious, but the attitude of a couple of staff members was unpleasant. We reserved a 10-person course meal, which wasn't cheap, so being treated that way after paying 100,000 yen is not acceptable in the service industry. I won't be going back again.

Well, if they are beginners, they can improve on this. I have been a regular customer for 16 years, so I will still come back, but the disappointment is inevitable. I made a reservation for a 6-course fugu lunch set for 3,800 yen in total. The set includes: boiled fugu, fugu sashimi, collagen jelly for the hot pot, fugu hot pot, porridge, and dessert. I also ordered grilled fugu milt as an additional dish! I was surprised that I could enjoy fugu at this price (*'▽'*). I went on a weekday for lunch and it was not crowded!

The location was great, close to Shibuya Station. It was my first time trying pufferfish, so there were some parts I didn't understand, but I found the taste to be very mild. I couldn't taste the ponzu sauce. I think the concept of being able to eat pufferfish at a reasonable price is wonderful. The eel was delicious.

I visited a restaurant to refresh my memory on what fugu tastes like, as I have plans to enjoy a slightly upscale fugu meal next week. I opted for the "Kuro" course, a 5000 yen fugu course which I found to be just right for enjoying fugu. I was able to try all the basic fugu dishes such as tessa and tetchiri, and the staff prepared the tetchiri and zosui for me. The tetchiri fugu was soft and went well with ponzu sauce! The interior and service had a chain restaurant feel, but it didn't bother me. In fact, I think having a lower barrier of entry like this is good for foreigners and those who don't usually eat fugu, as it makes it easy and enjoyable for them.

A strong cost performance restaurant where you can enjoy a fugu course for around 3,000 yen, directly connected to Shibuya Station. The fugu sashimi is thick and chewy, and the hot pot, porridge, and deep-fried fugu are all delicious. Plus, it's so affordable that you can order additional items without hesitation, such as extra deep-fried fugu and grilled fugu. The premium fugu sake sounded interesting, but I enjoyed the regular fugu sake so much that I'll save it for next time. It was concerning that it was empty on weekends and so cheap. The following week, news came out that the water temperature in Fukushima had risen, leading to a bountiful fugu catch.

I had the noon course meal for lunch, and it was a great value for money as a result of the company's efforts. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and mature, not what you would expect in Shibuya. The fact that you can drink alcohol during the day is also a big plus. Starting with hot pot and sashimi, having a drink is the best. The grilled shirako might have a slightly fishy smell, but overall it's delicious if you don't mind that. I was satisfied with the dessert as well. In the summer, I recommend trying the grilled fugu. This place is great for casual dining, whether you're dining alone or with a small group of friends. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more upscale experience, especially for special occasions like anniversaries, it might be better to go to a higher-end restaurant to have fugu.

So, we decided to go for blowfish (fugu) lunch instead. I found out that there are restaurants like "Narumi," "Genpin Fugu," and "Tora Fugu Tei" in Shibuya where you can have lunch and drink. When I checked the course menu, I realized that you can eat from around 6,000 yen! I always thought blowfish (fugu) was expensive, but the price seemed more affordable now. Since it was a special occasion, we decided to go for the high-end course. I made a reservation through the internet for the blowfish (fugu) course. The restaurant is located in the Gourmet Town near Hachiko Exit of Shibuya Station. Next to it, there's a pasta restaurant called "Gouemon" and a Kura Sushi downstairs, so it's surrounded by quite casual dining options. ★Hearty Natural Blowfish (Fugu) Course 9,150 yen (tax included) with all-you-can-drink ・Yubiki (blanched blowfish) Clear and crunchy, you can enjoy the texture with grated daikon radish and green onions, very refreshing. ・Natural Thickly Sliced Tessa Each person gets their own plate. The blowfish (fugu) slices are thicker than I expected, almost like sashimi. I went to Genpin in the building above Mizuho Bank at Shibuya Station to have blowfish hot pot. The building has a subway entrance, so it's almost directly connected to the station. The area around the scramble intersection gives off a chaotic impression, and the Gourmet Town seemed to have many shops targeted towards young people, but this place was truly a quiet, upscale space for adults. [Ordered items] Finned sake (880 yen) (Nest sake 550 yen) "Gen Course" 4,500 yen (tax included) Appetizer (boiled dish), tessa (blowfish sashimi), tecchiri (blowfish hot pot), zosui (rice porridge), dessert It had been a while since I last had blowfish. Personally, I like blowfish sashimi. The blowfish sashimi that came with the Gen Course, along with the condiments, was delicious. Everything in the Gen Course was delicious, but the blowfish broth zosui was incredibly tasty and left a lasting impression. Also, I tried finned sake for the first time, and I was very interested in the performance of lighting it on fire. It had a very fragrant and good aroma, more like a soup than a sake, and I ended up drinking it down quickly.

If you want to eat fugu, always go to Genpin Fugu. In summer and winter, I always come to eat fugu at least once. Fugu skin with ponzu sauce, tessa (thinly sliced fugu), fugu nigiri, fugu tempura, tetchiri (fugu hot pot), and zosui (rice porridge) are all delicious options here. The ponzu sauce is addictive and the prices are reasonable. Eating collagen-rich fugu always puts me in a happy mood! In addition, you can also enjoy grilled fugu in the summer, making it a recommended season to visit. Eating refreshing tessa in the summer is also recommended. While winter is the season typically associated with fugu, you can enjoy it all year round. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!

A few minutes' walk from Shibuya Station, past the scramble intersection next to Mizuho Bank's building on the 8th floor. This new restaurant opened in December. I tried the Daigo course, which includes a standard course with fried chicken. The appetizers were served quickly upon seating. The texture of the fried chicken was thick and bouncy. The blowfish sashimi was also served promptly, one portion at a time. It had been a while since I last ate blowfish, the last time being at Torafugu-tei, and I must say the blowfish here was more delicious. The texture was slightly firmer and the taste was stronger than I expected, and I honestly thought it was very tasty. The fried chicken came with shishito peppers and ginkgo nuts on the side, which was a nice touch. I also ordered the blowfish milt hot pot separately. It was cooked for less than a minute in the pot, and the creamy texture was delicious. The staff made a porridge with the remaining broth, and the rich yolk was very impressive. The broth was light from the beginning, allowing for personal seasoning adjustments. The nut ice cream with chunks of nuts was the best today. The restaurant had just opened, and the interior was clean. Each seat was separated like in a family restaurant, so I didn't have to worry about the neighboring tables. However, I don't think I would come here on my own.

I ordered the Noon Meal with 8 dishes, with the fugu sashimi changed to thick slices. The chewy texture of the boiled fugu at the start, the firmness of the fugu sashimi, and the deliciousness that stimulates the appetite from the beginning. I usually don't eat fried foods, but fugu is an exception. The fried fugu had a crispy texture and was full of the flavor of the fugu. The hot pot was just the right amount, and although I was quite full overall, I was very satisfied.

Despite being right in the center of Shibuya, the seats were spacious and comfortable, making it a pleasant dining experience. The cost performance was good, and personally, I liked the blowfish tempura. The all-you-can-drink option was available, and both the alcohol and juices were delicious. In this day and age, having a smoking room was appreciated. I would definitely visit again when I have business in Shibuya.

I was taken to this restaurant by a friend for my birthday celebration. It was the season for conger eel, and we enjoyed a course meal featuring various conger eel dishes for the first time. We had conger eel tempura, shabu-shabu, and other dishes that filled us up. We visited on a Saturday, and there were plenty of available seats, making it a calm and relaxing place to dine. I went from inexpensive places like Fuguichiro to high-end places like Osaka Torafugu-kai... but when it comes to Genpin Fugu, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They may not engage in standout conversations, but they always respond with a smile when you mention how delicious the food looks. They pay attention to the seasoning when mixing the special egg in the porridge, and it's these little touches that make a difference. It's common for staff at a restaurant to be friendly, but smiles and small talk really make a person feel at ease. Thank you always. My recommendation at Genpin is the fried fugu and the grilled shirako with sauce. Everyone, please try them while they're hot!
