First visit to MUJI Café. Ordered a hot café au lait for 350 yen. I was wondering if they just heated up the canned coffee they sell in the MUJI store, but then I heard the sound of a coffee machine extracting coffee. They're brewing it properly. My bad. The interior of the cafe is spacious and has a nice wooden theme throughout. The tables and chairs are made of natural wood, but some of the seats along the wall are sofas. I was feeling tired so I wanted to sit on the sofa. The café au lait was quite delicious. I might come back again.

During the spring to summer season, I always feel like my health is not at its best. I couldn't resist my craving for pudding, so I decided to try the pudding at the MUJI cafe, which is not far from my home and I had been curious about. First of all, it's affordable! I visited during off-peak hours to read a book, but it seems there is a time limit for using the store, so I decided to leave after a while. The pudding lived up to its good reputation and was delicious. It's a decent size, so maybe ordering just a little bit of something sweet is not a bad idea? The sweetness is gentle, similar to the sugar used at Fukuka Cafe, so surprisingly easy to eat even if you're not a big fan of sweet treats. If I ever have a sudden craving for delicious pudding while in a big city, I'll make sure to look for a MUJI cafe. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal~♪

Got off at Ueno Station. From the Shinobazu Exit, go outside and turn left. The entire B2F floor of "Marui Ueno Store" is occupied by MUJI. They have a wide range of clothing, goods, and food, with a MUJI cafe (Cafe & Meal MUJI Ueno Marui Store) located in one corner. In the past, there used to be both GAP and MUJI stores on the same floor, but after renovation, MUJI now occupies the entire floor. GAP is now operating on a different floor. I remember the exceptional service from the GAP staff when I was wandering around before the renovation. The new MUJI store surprised me with refrigerated sweets and frozen food for sale. I decided to buy the "Irregular Bite-sized Baked Cheese" (Cheetara) and the "Crispy Sesame Wakame" (snack) as they seemed less sweet. After comparing the calories, I chose the Wakame as it had fewer calories. I also found a drink that caught my eye, so I bought it as well. The items I purchased were as follows: Crispy Sesame Wakame: $1.90, Chestnut Green Tea: $1.00, Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea: $1.00. The Wakame had a crispy texture with a hint of sesame and a mild sweetness. However, be careful as it may get stuck in your teeth. The Chestnut Green Tea had a unique sweet flavor that reminded me of chestnuts, but also left me a bit puzzled. The Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea was a strong oolong tea.

It's unfortunate that there's no free refills, but I'll definitely be coming back for the large portions of rice.

3.0 Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Parfait for 800 yen. I didn't particularly like the soy milk pudding and pumpkin pudding.

The soft serve ice cream is delicious. After trying the soft serve ice cream from MUJI, I can no longer enjoy the soft serve from Mini Stop. The cakes created by the seasonal chef are also delicious. I imagine the lunch must be delicious too, although I have not tried it yet.

I went around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. It's a cafe located in the basement of Marui in Ueno, attached to Muji. I stopped by to have a coffee to pass the time. The cafes in front of the station were crowded, but this one had some seats available, so I was able to sit down right away. There are counter seats and table seats. They also have food options, so it's good for when you want to eat a meal. Maybe the timing was just good this time, but if you want to sit down and relax for a bit, I recommend checking this place out!

Muji puts a lot of effort into their curry selection, making it seem like they are a curry restaurant. The variety of curries is extensive, and they have a large display area dedicated to them. Not only in the curry section, but they also prominently display them near the checkout area. It's clear how much they want to promote their curries. On this day, I purchased the Sweet Onion Pork Curry for 300 yen, Keema Curry for 300 yen, and the Frypan-made Naan for 210 yen.
[Sweet Onion Pork Curry] This curry uses pork and potatoes as ingredients. It is a flavorful curry that highlights the sweetness and umami of caramelized onions.
[Keema Curry] This curry is made with ground chicken and various spices, creating a smooth and fragrant dish. It is based on the Keema Curry from North India.
[Frypan-made Naan] You can easily make fluffy naan by kneading the dough and frying it in a pan. Enjoy it with dishes like Butter Chicken Curry.
On Father's Day, my daughter Koina (pseudonym) kneaded and baked the naan for me. It could be considered her first attempt at cooking. This delicious naan was a first for me. It's a bit exaggerated to say 100 out of 5 points, but it's a fluffy and delicious naan. It's much better than many other places. The curry has a nice spicy kick to it. Both the curry and naan are truly outstanding. It was delicious. Thank you, Koina!

I used it for tea time at 4:00 PM. There are many seats available, and the style is to secure a seat upon entering and then go to the register to order. Matcha cake (Gâteau chocolat?) Limited time offer ¥550, Iced café au lait ¥350. The matcha cake was small, but very rich and dense, so it might be just right for enjoying during tea time. I love MUJI Café, and I also recommend the pudding. For those who love matcha, please try the matcha cake once!
