On a Friday night, I decided to make a reservation at my favorite sukiyaki restaurant in Ginza/Yurakucho, but everywhere was fully booked. I found the same restaurant in a search and called immediately, and they had availability. I mentioned it was my first visit and said I would call back if I changed my mind. I initially confused the location with a famous gas stove brand, but eventually found the small, old building with a sign and stairs leading to the 2nd floor. I met my friend who was wandering around with a map, and we entered together. The restaurant had 4 tables, including a sunken table. We ordered drinks and asked for a variety of meat for sukiyaki. The waitress prepared the eggs skillfully, separating the yolks and whites before whisking them together. Then, she cooked the meat and served it with sauce. The quality of the meat was excellent. We also enjoyed side dishes like potato salad and simmered bamboo shoots. The meal ended with vegetables cooked in the remaining broth. The waitress mentioned they used to have a larger restaurant in Toranomon, serving government officials. The current manager is the daughter of the owner, who now lives in New York. The hospitality of the staff, including the manager, was very welcoming. At the end of the night, we greeted the owner in New York over video call.

I visited for the first time. There were two female staff members who were very friendly and provided enjoyable customer service throughout. For the appetizer, we had a selection of edamame, tamagoyaki, and the recommended fish dish. For the main course, we enjoyed plenty of sukiyaki from lean to marbled cuts. When we expressed our preference for fat in the meat, they recommended just the right cuts. We also tried two recommended types of sake, both of which were delicious. The highlight was the fluffy scrambled eggs made right in front of us! They carefully separated the whites from the yolks, whipped the whites until foamy, and then mixed in the yolks at the end. I tried to do it myself, but I accidentally touched the yolks and couldn't do it well. The texture of the scrambled eggs was smoother and tastier than regular ones.

I recently discovered a hidden gem for sukiyaki that I've been obsessed with. Tomitaya is a long-standing restaurant that has been around for 90 years, offering sukiyaki made with domestic black wagyu beef at a reasonable price.
The attentive staff will cook the sukiyaki for you, but the highlight is how they beat the eggs. They mix it meticulously to incorporate air, creating a delicious egg mixture that enhances the flavor of the meat multiple times.
In addition to the sukiyaki, side dishes like simmered beef tendons and pickled radish are all delicious. Even the finishing udon is satisfying, making it a wonderful dining experience overall.
I'm looking forward to continuing to visit this amazing restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal!
I also post on Instagram, so I would be happy if you could follow me.

A truly hidden gem of a restaurant that serves exquisite sukiyaki. This long-established restaurant, with a history of 90 years, offers sukiyaki made with domestically produced black wagyu beef at a reasonable price.
What sets this place apart is their exceptional hospitality. The staff is dedicated to preparing the sukiyaki for you, including expertly mixing the egg. The way they beat the egg results in a smooth texture that pairs perfectly with the meat.
The quality of the meat is outstanding, whether it's marbled cuts or lean cuts, showcasing the restaurant's sourcing expertise. Each beef is labeled with an individual identification number, providing a sense of security.
This is a restaurant that I want to keep coming back to. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The biggest feature of this shop was the eggs. The staff carefully beat the eggs for everyone. The sound was lovely and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The fluffy eggs enhanced the deliciousness of the sukiyaki beef. I visited during Christmas, and it felt like I received a gift from Santa who arrived with the sound of bells.

We went with 7 colleagues to celebrate at this restaurant. We ordered the 3500 yen meat dish for 9 people, and it was delicious. Even though it was the cheapest meat option, it was tender and had a good portion size. The staff helped with cooking the hot pot, plating, and even cracking eggs. The cost performance was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was slightly upscale izakaya. While sukiyaki is usually served at higher-end establishments for entertaining, here you can enjoy authentic flavors in a casual setting. I would definitely want to come back.

Located on the second floor, up a steep staircase in a cluttered corner of Shinbashi, this restaurant is like heaven for women. The place is filled with women wearing pink aprons, who take care of everything from serving to cooking in pots. Under the guidance of the female owner, these women work efficiently yet have a warm and soothing presence that is quite comforting for men. Today, I had sukiyaki. Prices range from 5,500 yen with increments of 1,000 yen for higher quality meat with more fat content. However, even the cheaper option had tender meat that was satisfying. In terms of value for money, this place offers a high cost-performance ratio. They also serve shabu-shabu and steak, providing a variety of options to enjoy. One unique feature of this place is their meticulous preparation of beaten eggs. The pink ladies pair up and vigorously stir the eggs with chopsticks until they are thoroughly mixed. The resulting mixture, when poured over the sukiyaki meat, creates a delicious combination. The meat, vegetables, and even the final udon dish were all excellent. Despite the reasonable prices, the overall experience does not feel cheap. This is because they use good quality ingredients while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant. We had sukiyaki and drinks for four people, totaling just over 30,000 yen. It had been a while since my last visit, but I will definitely be coming back!

A shop located at the top of a slightly steep staircase. The interior has a traditional Japanese atmosphere, similar to a high-class izakaya or small dishes restaurant. The meat was beautifully marbled and delicious. One of the unique features here is that the staff will prepare the beaten egg for the sukiyaki. They first beat the egg white and then the yolk, resulting in an incredibly smooth egg mixture.

On September 6, 2013 (Friday), I visited a restaurant for dinner with a friend who brought me here for my birthday. We started with chilled tomatoes as an appetizer, followed by simmered daikon radish. Then, the highlight was the sukiyaki beef that was served! We didn't opt for the all-you-can-eat option, so the staff at the restaurant kindly helped us mix the eggs and adjust the heat and seasoning of the pot. The sukiyaki vegetables, beef, shirataki noodles, more beef added (haha), and finally, udon noodles for the finish were all delicious. Even though I had the udon noodles for the finish, the refreshing cucumber was recommended. The rolled omelet was also a must-try. The atmosphere was very friendly, from the staff to the other customers, making it a very comfortable dining experience. I can't wait to go back with friends!

I visited a sukiyaki all-you-can-eat restaurant. The price for the all-you-can-eat course is 4,950 yen (tax included) for 90 minutes, with a seating limit of 2 hours (minimum 4 people). The menu includes sukiyaki (additional meat and vegetable sets), draft beer, sake, shochu, oolong tea, sour cocktails, ice, mineral water, and hot water. Eggs can be added for 100 yen. Additional items like lemon and plum for drinks are charged separately. The meal consists mostly of vegetables (Chinese cabbage, onions, carrots, rehydrated dried white konjac, tofu), with meat served in 150g portions. The concept is more like a vegetable all-you-can-eat rather than sukiyaki all-you-can-eat, as you need to finish the meat and large portions of vegetables before getting a new plate. The time limit of 90 minutes is strict, and all food and drinks are taken away when time is up. The cooking method involves adding broth to the iron pot, then vegetables, and finally meat, which should be eaten before becoming tough. The restaurant staff may not follow the traditional rule of keeping meat and konjac separate in the pot. A female sommelier is available for wine pairing suggestions. Overall, the quality of sukiyaki all-you-can-eat at this restaurant is good, but it may be more worthwhile to enjoy wine or order sukiyaki at regular prices. It's a shame to see such a high-quality restaurant offering all-you-can-eat sukiyaki. This was the day I ate the most vegetables in years, so it felt healthy.

In the past, there was a famous sukiyaki restaurant in Toranomon, but it moved to Shinbashi many years ago. Located a bit off the beaten path near Uchisaiwaicho, up a steep staircase on the second floor, the restaurant doesn't seem to be as crowded as it used to be. However, the sukiyaki, which was renowned in Toranomon, still tastes excellent. Regular customers who know this keep coming back. The prices are more affordable now compared to when it was in Toranomon. The restaurant has both table and tatami seating, with a nostalgic atmosphere. It may not be ideal for a date, but it's a comfortable place to relax. Besides sukiyaki, they offer a variety of well-crafted snacks that make it a great spot for salarymen to enjoy drinks.

On June 25, 2007 (Monday), 6 people ★ Purpose: Small reception party ★ Smoking: OK ★ Foma signal: 3 bars ★ Private rooms: Semi-private rooms available. There is a tatami room at the back where you can enjoy a leisurely meal. The main dish is sukiyaki! The premium meat is very delicious. There are various side dishes, all of which are normal but tasty. I just want to have a regular meal with sukiyaki and rice. The mama-san who has been in business for many years is talkative and the staff and regular customers sit together, drink, and have a good time, which can be a bit noisy.
