Sapporo business trip. On the second night. I'm thinking about what to eat. I had seafood yesterday. I've decided on Genghis Khan for tomorrow. Now, what should I eat today... I ask M-kun. "Yakiniku," he says. Well... it might be a bit similar to Genghis Khan tomorrow, but it's my fault for asking. I search for a yakiniku restaurant. I found a few within walking distance from the hotel. Among them, I pick a promising one. I call them right away. They say it's okay if we go early! Decision made! It's "RAZAN Charcoal Grill Yakiniku Susukino" restaurant. The exterior of the restaurant has a retro vibe. Inside, it's beautifully designed. We are guided to the second floor. We are the only customers, which is nice. The staff who seated us at our table are very polite and explain everything clearly. Good impression. We order beer and look at the menu. Well, tongue salt is a must... for the kalbi, should I go for the premium or the regular... lately, I can't eat too much marbled meat, so I'll stick with the regular kalbi (laughs). And harami. I'll go for the thick-cut one. Also, M-kun requested raw intestine, so we add that too. And rice, I'll order a small portion (M-kun gets a large one). Today, I'll go for alcohol and meat. The appetizer is a mix of kimchi. Also, at M-kun's request, we add raw small intestines. While we are at it, the beer arrives! Of course, Sapporo Classic. When in Sapporo, this is the best choice. Let's dig in! Cheers. The tongue salt is a bit thick. It has a good texture. When you chew it, the meat juice flows out. Delicious! I unintentionally let out a sound of satisfaction. Next comes the kalbi and harami. And the intestine. The kalbi has a good amount of marbling even in the regular cut. I was worried it might be too fatty, but with three of us sharing it, no problem. The beer and rice go well. The harami is thick-cut and hearty. It's tender without any strong flavors. Delicious! The intestine releases sweetness and umami with each bite. I can't resist it (sweat). After a long time of having yakiniku, meat is really good. Let's switch the beer to whiskey highball and have a second round! At this point, we discuss adding more meat. Let's try some rare cuts since we're here. For the second round, let's go for slightly less fatty options. The meeting results in choosing misuji and ichibo. However, they were out of ichibo that day. They recommended the nearby part, lamp, instead. So, misuji and lamp it is. Let's order the Morioka cold noodles as the finale. We change the grill. From now on, we'll cook the meat slowly, according to each person's preference. I'll have misuji with just salt and pepper. The timing of this serving is perfect. We could fully enjoy the meat's original flavor. The lamp is very tender. Even though we're quite full, we keep eating. Slowly enjoying the whiskey highball refills and the delicious meat. When we finish eating, the cold noodles arrive. It's a great service (laughs). We share one serving among the three of us. The light Morioka cold noodles. It goes down smoothly even though we're almost full. We managed to eat everything (laughs). Wow, so full. We pay the bill and leave the restaurant. The cool breeze of Sapporo feels nice on my cheeks. I can't handle ramen tonight... I glance back and see M-kun, who still looks like he can eat more. Oh no (sweat). Plush agrees with me (laughs). Anyway, I firmly tell M-kun that it's impossible, and we head back to the hotel via Seicomart. That's the end of it...
