New Matsuzaka Shinjuku Store @ Shinjuku, Tokyo @ Teppanyaki has become a favorite restaurant for me, and I have visited it three times in a short period of time. It is a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy the amazing teppanyaki skills of a fantastic chef whom I encountered at another restaurant, in a stylish setting. There is also a corner with beautiful night views. I visited for the first time at night on March 27, and was very satisfied with my guests, so I revisited two weeks later on April 10 with two American guests, and tonight I visited with two people for a business dinner. It's such a wonderful restaurant that I want to visit every month. Once again, I was taken care of by the deputy head chef, whom I admire for his skills and personality, and my guests were also very satisfied with the continuous excitement. This time, we were provided with a seat with a beautiful night view overlooking the Sky Tree, so we were able to enjoy it even more. It is a teppanyaki restaurant located on the 14th floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya Times Square. It is a new store that opened on November 10, 2022. It is the fourth store following the founding of the Osaka Fuze Main Store in 1956, the Umeda 32nd Street Store, the Namba Midosuji Store, and the Roppongi Store in Tokyo. The dishes here are course-based, with three levels of dinner courses ranging from 11,000 to 19,800 yen, and a lunch course for 2,750 yen. Tonight, we tried the popular No. 1 steak course with seafood incorporated. The New Matsuzaka Course (steak and seafood) 11,000 yen includes a choice of seven types of meat ranging from basic black wagyu loin 100g or fillet 70g to A5 brand beef for an additional 2,750 yen or Chateaubriand for 11,000 yen. When I asked the chef, he advised me that the basic black wagyu loin was sufficient for today, so we enjoyed the course without additional charge. You can also choose from four types of seafood (only large black abalone +4,000). Additionally, you can choose from white rice, bread, grilled spaghetti, garlic rice, and dashi tea-soaked rice for your meal, which is a delightful option. My guests chose garlic rice (+770) and I chose white rice for the first time. The garlic rice is wonderful, but this white rice was also delicious and went well with the red miso soup and pickles. The contents include: ★ Meat Sushi: A beautiful and melty black wagyu rib that is seared and impressive from the start. Searing activates oleic acid. ★ Famous Chinese Cabbage with Salt and Pepper: Simple yet irresistibly delicious ★ Salad ★ Grilled live car shrimp and scallops: Also amazing ★ Hokkaido and Kagoshima black wagyu loin and fillet steak: A5 BMS12 rank superbly marbled meat and flavorful lean fillet. This time, we asked for 2/3 rare and 1/3 medium-rare. The extremely careful cooking method that takes time results in an eagerly awaited superb steak. ★ Garlic rice and white rice ★ Red miso soup and pickles ★ Dessert and iced coffee In addition to beer, mimosa, and soft drinks, the total cost was ¥26,090. I was very satisfied with the high cost performance. This is a must-visit restaurant that will make you want to go again very soon. Recommended ★★★★★ Parking: Takashimaya underground parking lot 2-3 hours service visit date June 1, 2023, night lunch operation: available takeout: unknown regular holiday: irregular holiday business hours: [Mon-Fri] Lunch: 11:00-15:00 (LO: 14:30) Dinner: 17:00-23:00 (LO: 22:00) [Sat-Sun-holidays] 11:00-23:00 (LO: 22:00) Smoking: completely non-smoking, smoking room on the floor seating capacity: 41 counter seats: 27 rooms: available credit cards: accepted electronic money: accepted, PayPay available point card: none likelihood of repeat visit: high (in the process of repeating) Note: Shinjuku Takashimaya Times Square, 5-24-2 Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, 14F 03-5990-2873

I was disappointed that I couldn't go to Osaka, but I found out there is also a branch in Tokyo, so I visited for the first time. It is located on the 14th floor of Takashimaya Times Square, and the view from the large windows was lovely. I made a reservation for the steak lunch course. The flambé of the meat was impressive and lifted my mood. Compared to dinner, lunch is more affordable, and the meat is from Australia, but it was tender and delicious. You can enjoy the meat with wasabi, freshly ground pepper, and a special coarse salt (I forgot the name). You can also change the rice to garlic rice or Wagyu tea-soaked rice for an additional fee, which is a bit pricey. I wish it was included in the service, haha.

I used a private room for my birthday. The chef personally brought the dishes to the private room and explained each dish. The seared wagyu sirloin sushi melted in my mouth and was very delicious. The steak, sukiyaki, and wagyu dashi chazuke were all delicious as well. The staff were friendly and made the meal enjoyable without being too formal.

I visited for the second time. I stopped by at Shinjuku Takashimaya on Saturday at 5 pm while shopping and was able to get in smoothly without a reservation. I ordered the 11,000 yen course. I was a bit skeptical about the sautéed cabbage in the first half because of the season, but it was simple and reasonably tasty. Personally, I would rate it 3.8. The lobster was delicious too. The presentation was quite nice. For the steak, my friend had fillet and I had sirloin, both rare. When I saw the pure white meat before cooking, I thought it was dangerous, but the fat was indeed intense and I couldn't enjoy it till the end (lol). The garlic rice had eggs in it, so it was like fried rice (w). The dessert was a fancy peach sorbet, very delicious. Well, it was a nice restaurant where you can eat quickly without a reservation, the food was not bad, the view was nice, and it was decent overall. However, when we left after about an hour and a half of dining, the restaurant was full. It seems that seats won't be available for a while. It's generally quite crowded on weekends.

I chose a course where I could enjoy both hamburger and Australian steak together! I was seated at the counter, so I could fully enjoy the essence of teppanyaki. It was a nice day, and I had a window seat with a view of the Skytree. The specialty flambé was like a fire show (laughs). The quality of the meat was just okay, not exceptional. Nothing beats Japanese beef! I changed the rice to garlic rice, which was also delicious.

Visited the restaurant for lunch with a reservation. It was almost full due to the holiday, with about 6 tables by the window. The weather was sunny that day, so we enjoyed the view. Ordered the sirloin steak and seafood teppanyaki, as well as the steak and hamburger lunch set. The meal included appetizers, grilled dishes, main course, dessert, and soft drinks, and we stayed for about 1.5 hours. The service from the staff was excellent, and we had a great time.

At 11:00 when the store opened, there was already a line! I'm glad I made a reservation ( ˙꒳˙ ) I ordered a course with hamburgers and steak ♬.*゚ Everything was delicious (*´༥`*)♡ It was quite a filling lunch! But it was so delicious, I finished it all in no time ♬.*゚ The size of the hamburger was just right, not too big. There are various branches of this restaurant, so if I'm ever in a bind, I'll use this chain! Thank you for the meal ♬.*゚

I visited on a holiday. I had plans in Shinjuku on the weekend and visited during lunchtime. Takashimaya tends to be very crowded during lunch hours on holidays, but this time it happened to be empty. I ordered seafood and fillet for lunch. They grilled scallops, shrimp, and steak right in front of me, and it was very delicious. The price was on the higher side for lunch hours, but for teppanyaki, it was about average.

Established in 1956, this restaurant specializes in teppanyaki using Matsusaka beef and Kobe beef. The main store is located in Fuse, Higashi-Osaka, and there is also a branch in Roppongi, Tokyo. In November of the 22nd year, a second Tokyo branch opened in Shinjuku Takashimaya, which I visited recently. The restaurant is located on the 14th floor of Takashimaya, alongside 34 other restaurants in the Restaurants Park area. The teppanyaki counter allows guests to enjoy a kitchen show right in front of them, with some seats offering a great view as well. It is recommended to make a reservation to secure a good seat. While the restaurant is known for its Japanese beef, I opted for Australian beef as I wanted a lighter meat. I ordered the Steak Lunch set for 3,850 yen, along with a Virgin Mary cocktail for 990 yen. The set included a 100g Australian sirloin steak, grilled vegetables, stir-fried bean sprouts, rice, salad, coffee, and dessert. The staff asked for my preferred doneness, and I chose rare. The steak was thickly cut and expertly cooked on the teppan, resulting in a beautifully seared exterior and a vibrant rare red color inside. The meat was flavorful and delicious, especially when paired with salt and wasabi. The Virgin Mary cocktail, a non-alcoholic version of the Bloody Mary, was a perfect complement to the meat dish. The restaurant's location near the station in a department store makes it easily accessible. Shinjuku lacks teppanyaki restaurants, so this place is a great find. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience.

The deliciousness of Namba's New Matsuzaka can be enjoyed in Shinjuku, and it's amazing. Make sure to add on the garlic rice as a finishing touch, even for an additional fee. It's delicious with a nice soy sauce flavor and a fluffy texture. I had only tried the steak before based on a recommendation, but this time I tried the New Matsuzaka hamburger for lunch. It was packed with the savory flavor of the meat and was incredibly delicious. The steak is also tasty, but I highly recommend the hamburger. The chef who cooks it is friendly and kind, which enhances the deliciousness even more.

This is a teppanyaki restaurant that opened on the 14th floor of Takashimaya. When I made a reservation in advance and visited, I was guided to a wonderful counter where I could see Shinjuku Gyoen and the Skytree. I upgraded the meat in the lunch course and added a single steak, which ended up costing quite a bit. The taste was quite good and I was satisfied.

It was a same-day reservation, but we got a great seat with a view of the night scenery and they even made a birthday plate for us. It turned out to be a wonderful dinner. Thank you very much.

I chose New Matsuzaka for my first teppanyaki experience. I was able to see a performance with flames rising in front of me, and the chef was friendly and engaging. I had a great time enjoying different flavors of meat with seasonings provided on the plates.

I enjoyed the three different ways of eating and the meat was tender and delicious, but it would be nice if we could adjust the doneness of the meat according to personal preference. Personally, I think it would be better if the meat were cooked a little more.

You can enjoy the best teppanyaki in a great atmosphere. It's a restaurant suitable for business entertainment. There are also quite a few families with children.
