I love plain tofu. Korean food is healthy and filling, which I like. The restaurant was a bit cold though. My husband, who doesn't like spicy food, found even the mildest spiciness too hot. The pancake was delicious too. This place seems great for a casual meal and easy to go alone.

After a long time, I felt like eating pure tofu and visited with a friend for a casual drink. It was nice that they serve lunch until late. We were both hungry after a picnic, so we joked about it and both finished our meals. Haha, restaurant's pure tofu is really delicious, isn't it? Thank you for the meal!!!

This is one of the places to go to warm up when your organs feel cold from drinking too much alcohol. You can customize your own original sundubu (soft tofu stew) here. If you ask the staff, they will give you some gochujang (red chili paste). The customers are mostly women (90%, with 10% being couples), but I think men can also go for a quick lunch. During dinner time, the sundubu set comes with almond jelly instead of Korean seaweed. It's convenient that you can use the restaurant's free Wi-Fi.

Visited the restaurant for the first time because of a collaboration campaign with an idol. I realized after entering the store that the collaboration would start the next day, which made me burst out laughing. I went on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm, and there were about 4 groups waiting, but we were able to get inside in about 15 minutes. I ordered the set with 4 kinds of vegetables and pure tofu (with tofu substitution), and my friend and I shared the samgyeopsal. We were full but not uncomfortably so. The pure tofu had plenty of tofu in it, so the tofu substitution felt like adding more tofu. The samgyeopsal had satisfyingly large pieces of meat. The lettuce was cut into easy-to-eat sizes, which was nice. I chose the level 1 spiciness for the salt, and it was just a normal level of spiciness.

I went after a long time. Even though I arrived just before lunchtime, there were 4 people waiting. During lunchtime, there is a set menu with a drink, 3 kinds of namul, and almond jelly for an additional 180 yen, so I recommend it. For those who don't like spicy food, you can order it without any spiciness, so I was able to enjoy my lunch without worrying about my companion. The photo is of the winter limited oyster sundubu. Also, the staff seemed unfriendly, as they didn't smile at all.

The chain store is clean and easy to enter. Despite being in Shinjuku, it's not noisy and has a relaxed atmosphere. There are hardly any Korean dishes that lack authenticity, showing that this place lives up to being in Tokyo. While tofu is the main ingredient, dishes like jeon and samgyeopsal are served on plates instead of a hot plate, giving a light feeling. The flavors are excellent, and the generous portions and complimentary side dishes like kimchi and lettuce make it a great value. Especially the samgyeopsal is crispy and juicy without any unpleasant smell. The tofu dishes are not spicy at all, but you can choose to add extra spiciness if you want. It's easy to dine here alone, and I would be happy to come back again.

Being a tofu specialty store, they offer a wide variety of options for lunch, such as your choice of tofu, three namul dishes, rice, and almond tofu for dessert. I chose the "Tsukimi Sundubu" for my tofu, and you can customize the soup flavor and spiciness to your liking. The soup options include salt, miso, and white soup, while you can choose the spiciness level from 1 to 6. I opted for the mild spiciness level 2 with salt soup. The "Tsukimi Sundubu" came with thick-cut pork marinated in soy sauce koji, along with fluffy tororo (grated yam) and egg. Mixing it all together created a mild and delicious flavor. Other items on the menu include yuzu tea (iced), garlic chives, yangnyeom chicken (Korean-style fried chicken), samgyeopsal set with spicy miso and sesame oil. This casual restaurant is perfect for dining alone, and they serve lunch until 5 pm, making it a great option for those who want a late lunch!

Sundubu is a Korean hot pot dish with tofu as the main ingredient, which is also popular in Japan. You can customize the spiciness according to your preference. The Porcini mushrooms sautéed in oil paired perfectly with the rich flavor of cheese and seasonal mushrooms, making it very delicious. I also enjoyed the Chijimi and Yangnyeom Chicken. I will definitely go back again.

Sundubu specialty store. It is located on the basement floor of the building right in front of the Shinjuku Sanchome A5 exit. The shop is very close to the station exit, so you don't need an umbrella even if it's raining, and Shakey's is across the street. This time, my friend and I visited the shop. It was not crowded, so we were guided to a semi-private sofa seat. We were able to relax and have lunch there. The lunch prices were mostly around 1200 yen. The dinner menu seems to change after 5 pm. The prices go up a bit in the evening. This time, they had a new autumn menu, so we tried various items. For lunch, we had: - Moon-viewing Sundubu 1350 yen + Drink (Chilled yuzu tea 180 yen for sharing) - Yangnyeom Chicken 550 yen - Chive Pancake 570 yen - Samgyeopsal 980 yen First, you can choose the flavor of the Sundubu soup among soy sauce, salt, or white (non-spicy soup). Then, you can choose the level of spiciness from 1 to 5 for free. Level 6 costs an additional 50 yen. Since it was our first time, we chose the standard soy sauce flavor with level 2 spiciness. We also ordered extra rice, which was a good decision because it was a large serving. The Moon-viewing Sundubu had a yam under the egg yolk, making it visually appealing. We mixed it well and enjoyed the dish. The spiciness was mild due to the yam and egg yolk, but it had a good weight and volume. The chive pancake was surprisingly thick and came with a special sauce. We enjoyed it while snacking on the Yangnyeom Chicken and mixing the Samgyeopsal with rice. Overall, it was a nice and convenient place near the station to enjoy a casual Sundubu lunch. The staff was also very kind. Thank you for the meal!

I'm looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it differs from the Jun Tofu in Shin-Okubo. The set meal I ordered includes pork sundubu with cheese for an extra charge. You can choose the level of spiciness and opt for tofu or salad to keep it healthy. It's a great service for women on a diet. The dish was delicious with a rich flavor and a perfect balance of ingredients. The side dish namul also complemented the meal well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The restaurant also offers a variety of other dishes like vegetable chige and seafood chige, so you won't have trouble choosing from the menu. This restaurant is located right near subway exit A5, across the street from Isetan and Muji in the basement of the 2nd Takano Building, making it a very easy-to-find location. On a weekday at exactly 5:00 PM before watching a movie, my friend and I stopped by for an early dinner. They kindly allowed us to order from the lunch menu until 5:00 PM, how considerate! Tokyo Jyunn Tofu offers stable quality tofu. I hadn't visited for a while, but there were many types available, and because it's healthy, there were quite a few women there. Adding a mini jeon to your lunch makes it a satisfying meal, so I recommend it. The spiciness is quite strong, but still manageable, so please be aware of that.

I have always loved tofu, and used to eat Tokyo-style tofu a lot! I had it again after a long time, and it was delicious. It just feels a little expensive though... The hormone tofu delivery was also delicious!! The packaging was sturdy too. I would be happy if it was a little cheaper though, haha.

It was a random restaurant I stumbled upon, but it was a hit! The food was delicious. Spicy restaurants can sometimes be just spicy without being tasty, but this one was different. It had a good depth of flavor and tasted delicious. You can adjust the level of spiciness, so even people who don't like spicy food will be okay. I had level 4 spiciness. You can also choose from 3 types of soup.

After purchasing a new eyeshadow palette from Louboutin at Isetan on my way home from work, I realized I was short on time and hurried to Tokyo Jun Tofu nearby. I ordered the Cheese Tteokgalbi Sundubu set, with miso-based super hot soup and less rice, for 1560 yen. Normally I would order ultra hot, but due to time constraints, I went one level down to super hot this time. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes, and I quickly added the cheese. The spiciness was still not satisfying, but I had to make do. The portion was a bit lacking, with only about 3 pieces of chicken. I didn't touch the rice much because there were tteokbokki in the dish. I enjoyed the crispy seaweed as a palate cleanser. Overall, it was not bad, but I wish the ingredients were a bit more generous.

I ordered the $15 black wagyu beef sundubu set at a sundubu specialty shop located about a 3-minute walk from the east exit of Shinjuku Station! The set includes sundubu, chijimi, and three appetizers (for an additional $2.50, you can also get alcohol or a soft drink at the Shinjuku East Exit store). The portion is huge... I'm happy that you can choose the amount of rice in addition to the soup base and spiciness! You can also add toppings like cheese and vegetables! The large black wagyu beef and plenty of vegetables in the rich soup with creamy egg yolk are delicious...! I was surprised by how big the meat was! It's great to wrap the rice with the meat and eat it! The chijimi in the set menu is chewy and delicious! The chili sauce adds a nice touch! It goes well with alcohol. All seats have dividers and thorough measures against COVID-19 were in place!

The other day, when I was wandering around Shinjuku, I got hungry and decided to stop by a tofu restaurant that I had been curious about for a while! This place has many branches and is quite popular! There were so many types of tofu to choose from that I was indecisive! I ordered the rich sesame miso tofu! It was delicious, with the hot and rich sesame miso flavor soaking in. I will definitely visit again!

This time I had the autumn limited Moon-viewing Sundubu. It had lots of vegetables, chicken meatballs, and even grated yam. You can choose the level of spiciness for the soup, and I chose level 4, but I think I could have handled level 6. The miso-based soup was rich and delicious! Personally, I really enjoyed the chicken meatballs. You can change the taste of the soup with meat miso or pickled plum, so I didn't get tired of eating until the end. The three kinds of Namul were all delicious, and the cheese Tteokbokki had a stronger cheese flavor than I expected. The chicken in the Yangnyeom Chicken was very tender, and just thinking about it makes me want to eat it again. I really want to conquer all the Sundubu dishes here because they were so delicious!
