Kadooka Tsurutaro is famous for its unique and tasty signage, offering reasonably priced fugu dishes. I have visited the Ryogoku branch near Eko-in Temple a few times, but today I went to the Asakusa branch in front of Asakusa ROX for the first time. As always, the lively fugu swimming in the tank catches my eye. Oh, one of them is looking at me. Sorry, I'll be eating you soon (^-^; The course options are straightforward:
- Swimming Fugu Course 4980 yen
- Skin Sashimi, Swimming Fugu, Fugu Karaage, Zosui, Oshinko, Dessert
- Swimming Fugu Chochin Course 3780 yen
- Skin Sashimi, Swimming Fugu Chochin, Nabe, Skin Zosui, Oshinko, Dessert
- Premium Shirako Course 7380 yen
- Swimming Fugu Course 4980 yen
- Plus your choice of Shirako dish (Shirako Tempura, Nabe, Grilled, Sashimi)
I always go for the Swimming Fugu Course 4980 yen as I love the Fugu Karaage. The skin sashimi is a great appetizer, and the Fugu Karaage is crispy and delicious. The Fugu Chochin has a generous portion, and I always feel happy eating fugu. The Karaage with sudachi is a delight, and the fugu bones around it are also tasty. The Chochin is cooked on an IH cooker with a paper pot on top, making it a cool and clean dining experience. The fugu moves around a lot, adding to the excitement of the meal. The Zosui at the end is a perfect finish. Fugu is always delicious no matter how it's cooked. The total bill for two with drinks was around 15000 yen, which was reasonable for a satisfying fugu meal. The restaurant is modern and cozy, making it a good spot for a date. Thank you for the delicious meal!
