When it comes to oden in Shinjuku Sanchome, "Kyosuke" is the place to go. However, you need to make a reservation to get in. This popular restaurant serves a wide variety of oden dishes that rotate daily. In addition to oden, their other dishes are delicately seasoned and presented, and the prices are reasonable. The unique names of the dishes and drinks add to the fun atmosphere, and you can tell that the staff enjoy their work. The clientele is mostly female, and the bright atmosphere of the restaurant makes it a comfortable place to be. It's a place you'll want to visit again.

Cheap, cheap, cheap!! Each dish is around 500 yen. It's been a while since I've seen a place with prices like this. The portions are generous. However, the quality of the food is really just what you'd expect for the price. The mackerel is large but watery with a hint of fishiness and the flesh is dry. The shiitake mushrooms lack juiciness and are tough. The broth is also just okay! It's not bad, but it's hard to say it's delicious. However, in terms of cost performance, it's satisfying! The atmosphere of the restaurant is surprisingly good for the price. The place is bustling with customers one after another. It's a popular spot.

I have visited this place many times before, but this is my first time posting a review. Lately, I have been ordering the course menu to enjoy a variety of dishes and I am always satisfied with the different dishes that come out each time. The balance of fish, meat, and oden is superb and the cost performance is excellent. I had a delicious meal once again this time. I will definitely be coming back. Oh, I forgot to drink the free miso soup.

Robata Tooden Kyosuke in Shinjuku is a renowned restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station! I made a reservation this time, but the place is always full! The recommended dishes here are the assorted 6 types of oden and the shrimp chili! The oden comes with the staff's recommended choices! The daikon radish was especially delicious with its flavors soaked in. Here are the menu items we ordered: Oden Assortment 980 yen, Robata Assortment 880 yen, Shrimp Chili 350 yen, Chicken Liver 180 yen, Fried Scallops and Corn 520 yen, Robata Small Iron Plate 700 yen, Mikan Sour 430 yen, Shandy Gaff 450 yen, Cola 350 yen, Japanese Sake Cocktail A 600 yen, Ginger Highball 480 yen, Afternoon Tea 350 yen. I arrived around 17:30 without a reservation. They said they only had seats available until 19:00, but I just made it in time. The appetizers were luxurious and there were many items on the menu, making it hard to decide what to order. The fried beef tongue and eel rolled in broth were exquisite. The oden seemed to be famous, as other tables had plenty of it.

The menu is extensive and there are many interesting drink options to choose from, making it enjoyable to decide. This was my second visit, as I was truly impressed by the delicious food during my first visit. However, this time it was just good. Perhaps the taste has changed a bit.

This was the otoshi... I was very satisfied! ♡ However, entering at 21:00 and closing at 23:00 felt like it went by quickly, different from the usual dining times on Tabelog. There were also many items sold out, including the pig trotters I was looking forward to, so I will come back for revenge! #Robata grill and Oden Kyosuke #Sake #Izakaya #Shinjuku gourmet #Tokyo gourmet #Not doing recording diet

Who to go with: Couples, girls' night out, friends from school
When to go: Dinner
Usage scene:
- Convenient izakaya in Shinjuku
- When you want to eat delicious oden or fish
- When you want to drink with good cost performance
Recommended points of this restaurant:
If you want to eat oden in Shinjuku, this restaurant is a must-visit! Located a short walk from Shinjuku, in the Shinjuku Sanchome area! I love izakayas in Shinjuku Sanchome too much ✨
You can enjoy trendy robatayaki and delicious oden!
If you have a small group, sitting at the counter is recommended. I like waiting while talking about what we might be cooking while watching the food being prepared!
The restaurant itself is spacious and easy to use, perfect for couples and drinking parties.
Ease of entering the store:
Be careful not to overlook it as it is located underground! The exterior of the restaurant has a slightly luxurious atmosphere, but once you enter, it is full of energy and the atmosphere is great.
As it is a very popular restaurant, reservations are essential!

I visited the restaurant by making a reservation on a regular day. There were counter seats and table seats available. The restaurant was crowded and I realized that making a reservation is a must! The appetizer was not just a regular appetizer. I had plum wine (non-alcoholic), shrimp fry, and braised beef. They were so luxurious that I was surprised. The celery pickles were so delicious that I could keep eating them forever! The prices were reasonable, the variety of dishes was abundant, so I have no choice but to keep coming back!

I arrived around 17:30 on a Saturday without a reservation and was able to get in, even though it's a popular place. I took a chance and got a table for use until 19:00. The food and drinks were creative and the cost performance was great, so I was very satisfied. However, the staff seemed busy and it was a bit difficult to place orders.

We certify it as the best cost performance!【Review】☆Assorted oden ¥780This time, we were served with a random selection including daikon, inari, rolled cabbage, konjac, egg, chikuwa, and chicken meatballs. The delicate flavor of the broth soaked in perfectly, making it truly delicious. A winner!☆Hokkaido specialty! Fried beef tongue ¥530This dish was the runner-up. I made a reservation for 5:00 pm on a weekday and entered the restaurant. It was a 2-hour limit, but the drinks and oden were delicious, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would like to go again! There are no photos, but the sake sherbet-like drink was delicious.

The cost performance was good and the food was very delicious. The restaurant was always full and they were turning away people who didn't have reservations, which made me realize it's a popular place. One downside was that even though I understood they have a 2-hour time limit, the food took a long time to come out, so we were told about last order while we were still eating.

I was drawn to the word "oden" and decided to stop by casually, but I could sense the dedication from the appetizer, and at that moment, I was sure it was a hit. Not only the oden, but every menu was delicious! Especially, the truffle daikon is recommended! The drinks are also abundant and really good. I will definitely go back.

At this time of year, I look forward to going to see the ginkgo trees in the Outer Garden, but they have started to fall and it seems like they will all be gone with today's wind. However, I have enjoyed the yellow carpet and the falling ginkgo leaves, fully embracing autumn. It was forecasted to rain at night and get cold, so I planned to have oden...but the temperature is unseasonably warm (laughs). The restaurant is located underground. Upon entering, there is a counter and tables surrounding the central kitchen. We had made a reservation, but it was clear that the popular restaurant was turning away customers without reservations. They serve oden and robatayaki, but they also have a wide variety of a la carte dishes. There is sashimi and even Western-style dishes, so it's like an izakaya (laughs). There was a 500 yen cover charge, but it included an appetizer and a sake, so it was reasonable. Here is what we had: Beef tongue oden - it was delicious. Oden assortment (chikuwa, konnyaku, satsuma-age, daikon roll, mochi purses) Salmon and tomato Hamo tempura Melt-in-your-mouth beef tongue oden There is a high ratio of young women at this restaurant, so I think it's popular as a casual dining spot. Thank you for the meal.

This underground shop operates on a 2-hour time limit. Upon entering, you may notice that the place is packed with a lot of people in their 20s. The appetizers served are fresh oysters, firefly squid and cucumber with miso vinegar dressing, and plum wine. The appetizers were satisfying. The assorted oden includes daikon radish, boiled egg, fish cake, thick fried tofu, and mochi pouch. It's a shame that there is no konjac noodles or meatballs on the a la carte menu. The highball was delicious and served promptly. The atmosphere is also nice. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday after making a reservation just to be safe, and it was a good decision as it was quite busy. There were a few walk-in customers who were all being turned away. The menu for oden was extensive and even though I ate a lot, I felt it was reasonably priced. I would like to go again.

"Kyousuke" is a great izakaya in the Shinjuku Sanchome area known for its delicious robatayaki and oden. The appetizers are very generous, with two side dishes and a glass of fruit liquor included! The atmosphere is lively, with a mix of groups and couples enjoying the food. It's conveniently located near the station, making it a great choice for both the first and second stop of the night. Due to its popularity, it's recommended to make a reservation in advance, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays."

The restaurant was open and lively! It was a Sunday during the Obon period, but the seats were full, and I thought "this place is quite popular." The menu had a wide variety of options, which made choosing fun. The taste was not bad, and considering the price, it was definitely worth it! I will use this place again if I have the chance.

I had a good experience when I visited before, but maybe because it was summer or because our table was close to the restroom, it wasn't a pleasant environment for dining. This time, I didn't choose to come here myself, so I couldn't easily suggest leaving early... The smell was so bad that even drinking alcohol didn't make me feel tipsy. Disappointing.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome, this restaurant, Robata and Oden Kyosuke, offers delicious food and drinks at a great price. The menu has a wide variety of options, making it hard to decide what to order. Everything is reasonably priced, so I ended up trying a lot of dishes! They even served sushi as a complimentary appetizer, and I was surprised to receive a pre-dinner drink as well. The Oden assortment, Robata assortment, Pescatore Gnocchi, and Grilled Nagaimo were all delicious! Especially, the Grilled Nagaimo was so tasty that I ordered it twice. They also had a wide selection of drinks, including unique lemon sours. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with semi-private booths and counter seats available. It's a place where even solo diners can have a great time.
